The You Matter! Box was created by a practicing school counselor as an avenue to promote positive thinking, positive self-esteem, and decrease anxiety and depression. After many meetings with students, it was found that they are anxious, depressed, lacking self-confidence, and some are even thinking of harming themselves or having thoughts of suicide.
