On the flip side of the card, Quirky Crate includes an itemized list of each product and its value. This month's theme is "Pretty in Punk," featuring some accessories and flair with cute and quirky 'tude.

Time to get quirky!

Skateboard Purse - Listed Value $40

Quirky Crate, I wasn't expecting something so cute this month. Recently I have been obsessing over everything yellow, and the fact that this skateboard is yellow makes it an even cooler accessory. I love the way this opens on three sides so you can easily stuff it full without any room going to waste. Also, I cannot express how much I LOVE the faux leather strap this month. It's been a long time coming! I really hope they are switching over to non-chain straps, because this is so much more functional; it also makes it easier to carry and lighter.

Shoe Keyring - Listed Value $5

This lovely shoe reminds me of my early teen angst. My mom wouldn't buy me Converse sneakers, although I desperately needed them to live. Obviously, I got over this eventually, but nobody could stop me from purchasing Ro a pair of Chuck Taylors before he could even walk. This cute shoe comes tied and makes the perfect keychain for a spare keyring or someone who habitually loses their keys. I love it!

Guitar Enamel Pin - Listed Value $10

This month's pin is a funky find. It isn't the most punk guitar with the tiny pink heart detail, but it is perfect for this month's "Pretty in Punk" theme. Compared to pins of the past, this pin is teeny tiny. Very cute!

Animal Print Beanie - Listed Value $16

cow pattern beanie

Speaking of teeny tiny... I feel like Derek Zoolander when he sees the model school, "Is this a hat for ants?" Okay, this cow print beanie isn't that small, but it is a tight fit. I am trying to get Ronan to wear it for me, but he isn't very fond of headgear. I am sure I'd be able to stretch it out over time, but a tight hat with my new haircut isn't exactly flattering. It is a very soft knit and so cozy, too. Maybe Ronan will warm up to it when the weather turns, fingers crossed.

Flame Socks - Listed Price $8

These socks took me straight to flavor town! It is a set that Guy Fieri himself would covet, and I am living in these from here out. They are loud and excessively corny, two beautiful traits I relish. The flames reach above my ankles and are comfortably lightweight. I can't wait to flash these babies around town this fall; I am sure they will be quite a conversation starter at work, too.

Be You Not Them Sticker - Listed Price $4

This sticker is lovely, and it sends an excellent message. The featured artist, Patricia, owns a lovely Etsy shop that sells digital prints, just like this one. I wish I could find a purple daisy jacket like this, but until then, I'll have to sport this cute sticker.

Studded Headband - Listed Price $12

Heck yeah. I just forfeited my pink fuzzy headband from QC to Ronan (he loves to wear it around his neck ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), so this came at a great time. Since I have bangs again, I need to use a headband to wash my face twice a day, and this oversized number is not only cute but extremely functional. I'll never lose it, and it stays in place without my hair budging.

The Verdict

October's Quirky Crate is a great follow-up to last month's hit curation. I am so into this month's "Pretty in Punk" theme, totally loving all of the girly takes on some punk accessories. I enjoyed every item, but I especially love my new Guy Fieri socks, yellow skateboard purse and pink shoe keychain. This subscription bring out the flair-loving, extra accessorizing, sticker hoarder in me, and I am here for it! Their themes every month are so much fun, and I always have a blast unboxing every month making this box worth every penny to me. The total value of this box adds up to $95, over double the $36.95 + $8.50 shipping subscription cost.
