First Impressions

Each month, Nourish Beauty Box arrives with an info card that has a quick overview of the box on one side and more detailed information about the products included on the other.

Now, on to the items!

Wyldflower Labs: Omega Cleanse, 30 ml – Retail Value $35

This cleanser is very interesting… It has a gel-like texture but a very thick consistency. The scent reminds me of glue, but once I got over that, the product cleansed my skin very nicely, gently removing dirt, oil, and makeup from the day and left my skin feeling fresh and clean but not tight and dry. I have very sensitive skin, so I was worried that this might burn a little, but it was very gentle, and I didn’t experience any irritation. The bottle is a little strange for a cleanser. I could see it being difficult to finish this product down to the last drop, but overall, I would call this cleanser a win for me. It’s strong enough to remove oil-based makeup but gentle enough not to irritate sensitive skin.

Seraphine Botanicals: Black Tea + Verbena, 30 ml – Retail Value $85

The square glass bottle and dropper applicator make this product’s packaging so sleek and refined. I have to say, I really like it. The scent reminds me of herbal tea, and the texture is like most face oils. When I applied it to my neck and decolletage, I was pleasantly surprised with how fast it absorbed into my skin, leaving behind no oily or greasy feeling. It left my skin feeling intensely hydrated and plump. Because of how moisturizing this oil is, I will probably not be using it on my face, but I am very happy to have a firming product for my neck and decolletage. I always try to rub my serums all the way down to my neck, but my decolletage is definitely almost always forgotten. Having a product exclusively for this purpose will help remind me that I am now a ‘woman of a certain age,’ and it doesn’t help to have youthful-looking skin if you have a turkey neck and a wrinkly chest…

Lovesong Beauty Weightless Leave-In Conditioner, 50 ml – Retail Value $36

I absolutely love the scent of this leave-in conditioner. It has a very natural, fresh, high-end spa scent that makes me feel like I just got my hair done up on Fifth Ave. With a light gel-like texture, this product is very lightweight, did not weigh my hair down at all, and gave my curls a nice, defined shape. I applied the product to my damp hair and let it air dry. I noticed it eased my detangling process and dramatically reduced frizz. Even so, my hair was still a little dry after use, so I think anyone with 3C or 4C hair would have to use an additional moisturizer in tandem with this leave-in conditioner. I love that it comes in a glass bottle, and I find the packaging to be very chic.

Evolue: Hydrating Serum, 30 ml – Retail Value $68

Evolue is one of my favorite skincare brands, and this hydrating serum is hands down my favorite product of theirs. This is my third bottle, and I have used all the priors down to the last drop. It’s an ultra-lightweight, supremely hydrating gel serum. After use, my skin always feels hydrated, soft, and buoyant, and it clears up my skin nicely any time I use it, taking care of blemishes and evening my overall skin tone. It has a light natural scent that can take some getting used to. It goes on easily, doesn’t leave behind any sticky or greasy residue, and absorbs quickly into my skin.

Verdict

I always enjoy the Nourish Beauty Box. They are constantly surprising me with different and new products that I didn’t even know I needed. But this has to be one of my all-time favorite boxes. The Seraphine Botanicals firming serum, in its fabulous packaging, is an all-new product to me that I’m excited to see long-term results from. Evolue is a long-time favorite brand of mine, and the serum included in this month’s box just happens to be my all-time favorite product from them, so naturally, I’m excited to have it again. I really enjoy the Wyldflower Labs gel cleanser. Even though the scent is very unique, I like how thoroughly the product removes oil, dirt, and makeup from my face at the end of the day, and even though it leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean, it’s never stripped. Lovesong Beauty’s leave-in conditioner is a great option for a weightless leave-in conditioner. Even though my hair would need a little extra hydration when using this product, it definitely provides moisture without weighing down your hair. Overall, I think this is one of the best Nourish Beauty boxes I’ve ever received. I love the curated products and the incredible retail value of this month’s box.
