COMPLEX CULTURE Good Glow Blush Single in Spiced Up, 1.5 g - Estimated Value $4.09
Usually, blush is not a product that is super exciting to me. But this blush came right at a time of need. You see, my beloved Ofra blush somehow got stuck in the cup holder in my car while I was beautifying on the go. Now, I’m not saying that Ofra and Complex Culture are interchangeable, but I was really impressed by this product. I like the shade; a beautiful vibrant pink with just a pinch of shimmer. It’s highly pigmented, buildable, applies smoothly, and goes well with my skin tone.

PAPA RECIPE Tea Tree Control Green Mud Mask, 15 ml - Estimated Value $3.30
I have never been a wash-off mask kind of girl, and I tend to prefer sheet masks or peel-off masks. But recently, I have discovered a new way to use wash-off masks that is more in line with my level of laziness. I keep wash-off masks in my shower and apply at the beginning and rinse off at the end. I really enjoyed this mask. Mud masks are usually very deep cleaning and can sometimes leave my skin feeling stripped. This mask, while leaving my face feeling fresh and clean, did not leave behind any irritation or dryness. The one thing I will say is the scent of this product is definitely what I would call ‘medicinal’ and not necessarily enjoyable, but it dissipates quickly and is gone after rinsing. I found this mask to be gentle, yet effective.
PÜR 4-in-1 Sculpting Concealer in TG6 |Tan, 2 g - Estimated Value $1.20
I really like this concealer. The shade works well for my skin and offers full coverage. I am a night owl forced to be an early bird, so I tend to have dark raccoon-like circles under my eyes. So, full coverage is what I look for in a concealer. To top it all off, the product is also infused with retinol, lactic acid, and antioxidants, to help improve skin tone and texture under the eyes. It has a nice creamy texture, goes on smoothly, and helped hide my breakouts and uneven skin tone without looking cakey. The one thing I’d say is that the size of this sample is ridiculously small. I almost used the entirety of the product on my swatches, lol.

TWISTED SISTA 3-Minute Moisturizing Mask, 30 ml - Estimated Value $0.85
I love hair masks. I always see a definite difference in my hair when I use masks consistently. Twisted Sista is a brand I’ve used many times before. I always really enjoy their products, and they work well with my curly-textured hair. This mask worked well, softening and detangling my hair, and leaving it detangled, moisturized, and bouncy. What I really liked is that it only takes three minutes, so you don’t spend time just pruning in the shower, waiting on your hair mask. I really enjoy the scent too. It’s a fruity tropical smell that is wonderfully delightful.
VERSO SKINCARE Night Cream, 15 ml - Estimated Value $27
Finally -- a night cream that isn’t too heavy for my skin. I tend to stick to gel-based products because anything cream-based usually stays on my face like a thick film and clogs my pores. This product is super lightweight and absorbs into the skin incredibly quickly. It’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin but also provides the benefits of retinol, without any burning or flaking. The scent is a little more perfumey than I personally would prefer, but it does dissipate quickly. I really enjoy this product. It feels luxurious and also effective. I applied at night and my skin looked smoother and had a bit of an extra glow in the morning. I will say, the downside of this product is that it does have alcohol and added fragrance. However, those are the last two ingredients listed, which I believe means it contains a very small amount.
Verdict
I really enjoyed this month’s Ipsy Glam Bag. Not only was there a good mixture of makeup, skincare, and hair care products, but also, this month it felt like Ipsy paid more attention to my profile selections. The Complex Culture blush and the PÜR concealer both worked very well for my skin tone, and I was in need of a blush, making the product more valuable to me (since now I don’t have to go out and purchase one). I also really love the shade and full coverage the concealer offers. I would have liked the sample to be larger and the shade to be just a tinge lighter, but now I have a good baseline for this brand’s concealer if I choose to go purchase myself. The Twisted Sista hair mask is another item that seems like it might have been chosen for me, based on my profile. I’ve rated the brand’s products highly in the past, and I have curly hair. The Verso Skincare night cream is a super lightweight, gentle retinol cream that so far has been working wonderfully for my sensitive skin (another thing I also mention having in my Ipsy profile). Lastly, the Papa Recipe mud mask… While I’m not a huge wash-off mask fan, I did enjoy how clean and fresh this mask made my skin feel. Overall, I think this was a solid bag and very well curated.
