Gwynnie Bee is a size-inclusive clothing rental subscription service offering sizes 0-32! Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like that are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items in your virtual closet are sent to you at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. Since I started using the service, I can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!

The cost depends on how many items you would like to rent out at a time. Starting at $49 per month for 1 item and up to $199 for 10 items. Gwynnie Bee also has a marketplace on their site where you can buy steeply discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and workout gear as well!

This is a review of the three items at a time for $95/month.

What's Inside This Box

Navy and Wine Striped Wrap Waist Sheath Dress by London Times, Size 22 — Cost to Keep $37.50

I don't recall closeting this dress, but here it is! London Times makes high-quality pieces, so this was a pleasant surprise. The deep burgundy and navy shades are perfect for colder months like fall and winter too. If I were still in the office I would probably wear this with tights and ankle booties. It is long enough that it isn't scandalous and my chest is even well covered with this v-neck wrap. I did some simple styling and paired this dress with my favorite off-white western booties, but this would look phenomenal at the office in heels and a blazer!

Mushroom Print Fit-and-Flare Dress by Eva Rose, Size 2x — Cost to Keep $62.50

This dress is perfect if you are a fungi-- or gal! Jokes aside-- how cute and whimsical is the print on this dress? The fit and flare cut on this dress just add to the cuteness. The dress fit me, but I definitely need a larger size because my chest was definitely smooshed in tight. I also would prefer a 3x so that I could layer and wear a turtle neck underneath. I love the idea of wearing an orange or lilac turtleneck top underneath with black tights and saddle shoes at the office. This would also look adorable with a cardigan and colored tights. I would love this with a mustard yellow cardigan and a colored tight like a light blue or orange to bring out the colors in the mushrooms on the dress. We love a versatile dress and this certainly will get you a ton of wear year-round!

Multi Flower Top by Calvin Klein, Size 3x — Cost to Keep $55.50

I always try to be honest, but positive when reviewing products for yinz. However, I feel it is vital that I be blunt-- I hate this shirt. I actually was eager to get this one-- I thought the bold print would be fun and loved the mock neck detail. Turned out that everything I thought I loved about the blouse were things I ended up hating. This print is bold but reminds me of something I would have seen in the 80s or 90s. I love retro prints, but this one is not doing it for me. Possibly, this print would have looked fantastic as a shirt dress or a button-down blouse.  This style top combined with the print is just overwhelming on my frame. It might work or appeal to someone else, but it certainly wasn't for me. That being said, the shirt was comfortable to wear-- I will give it that! I did simple styling with black jeans and orange jelly flats and earrings to pull up colors from the shirt. I would suggest wearing this tucked in and possibly with a black skirt with suspenders to cut into the print a bit more.

Verdict

There was nothing subdued or quiet about my selections from Gwynnie Bee this month! The prints and patterns were bold and colorful. The London Times fit me the best, but the color palette wasn't for me. The Eva Rose dress was adorable, but the sizing was a bit off. Then we had the Calvin Klein blouse which was too much even for me-- and that speaks volumes! We all know I never am intimidated by wild prints and bright colors, but I met my match today! Even though there wasn't a love connection between myself and the pieces I received-- I at least got to try some different styles and brands! That is why I love Gwynnie Bee so much-- their service gives you the ability not only to try out different trends and styles you may not have otherwise. I also LOVE the ability to rent and try pieces-- there is no commitment to purchase pieces. If you do fall head over heels in love with a piece and can't bring yourself to return it-- no worries, you can keep it at a discount! Gwynnie Bee offers all previously worn items at a discount, but as a member, you also qualify for their frequent sales on at-home and returned items. You also accrue points simply by being a member that can provide you $5, $10, or $15 off credits! I have purchased some pieces in the past with my credits for less than $10! The potential savings are unreal!

You might be wondering what the best part is since there are so many awesome things about Gwynnie Bee, right? Well, you get to enjoy renting and trying on everything from the comfort of your own home. No need to get in the car with your masks for a run to the mall-- you can do it all right from your living room.  Parade around the house for a personal fashion show-- have fun with it!  What are you waiting for-- especially with 50% off for your first month! This month's selections weren't a failure, but I am eager to see what I get next month, aren't you?

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month. The three items total up to $155.50, which is $60.50 more than my monthly plan!
