Norlii is a $69.95 (+ $9.95 shipping) bi-monthly home subscription box filled with Scandinavian home decor and accessories. With the clean lines of Nordic designs and the warmth of the Danish hygge (a word that basically means a quality of coziness that creates a feeling of contentment), it's all about bringing a modern but comfy bit of Scandinavia to your home.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

Norlii themed this box around a Nordic Bed and Breakfast, and everything in the box is set to give you a comfy morning!

What's in the Box?

Egg Cups – Listed Value $15

The best part of a bed and breakfast is the breakfast, right? These twin egg cups are adorable and made me want to go boil some eggs immediately. According to the insert Norlii includes in each box (super handy because my teenager pulled these out and asked me why I was getting stone shot glasses ... and I could point out that they were very definitely egg cups!), "Eating soft-boiled eggs is part of many Scandinavians’ morning routine, especially on weekends. It is almost an art form, getting the egg boiled just right, peeling the top of the egg gently, adding a touch of salt, and then… taking your sweet time enjoying it." The grey ceramic is a perfect neutral to match other items on the breakfast table.

Two Bread Baskets – Listed Value $15 for the Set

These baskets from House Doctor added a nice earthy touch to the goodies in the box, and they added a bit of nostalgia for me as they reminded me of the baskets my grandmother used to use to serve up our biscuits! Made from seagrass and jute, the darker edging at the top is a nice touch, and if you aren't big on serving carbs, they'd be perfect as little catch-all baskets. The larger one could fit at least a half dozen bagels, and the smaller one sits neatly inside for storage.

Cloudberry Jam – Listed Value $15

cloudberry jam

Never had cloudberries? Me neither! So I was excited to try this Swedish jam. The bottle is a nice size — unlike many boxes that have tiny samples, there's plenty for your toast for days. I wasn't a huge fan of the seeds in the jam as there were a LOT, but the flavor itself was tart and reminded me of a cross between a raspberry and a currant.

Natural Horn Spoon – Listed Value $17

There's just something about little spoons that makes scooping jam out of a jar — or really scooping anything — more fun. According to Norlii, the lightweight nature of the horn makes it so the spoon will float instead of sinking in your jar! And yes, it's super cute too.

Linen Pillowcase and Down Pillow – Listed Value $55

After you fill up on breakfast, this pillow is perfect for fitting in a nice late morning nap. Made by lb Laursen, the pillow is filled with duck feathers, and the pillowcase is a super soft linen. I really love the muted tones that work perfectly with my decor, and the size is just right for sticking behind my back for a little lumbar support while I'm binging Maid on Netflix!

Was This Box Worth It?

I loved everything about Norlii's Bed and Breakfast theme and each touch made it complete with items you can't easily find at stores here in the states. I would probably skip the cloudberry seeds myself, but with five different items (counting the egg cups and the baskets as sets), there was plenty packed into this box!

With a listed value total of $117, you end up saving almost $40 on all the items. Not to mention many of these items are hard to find here in the states. When I tried looking for the seagrass baskets, for example, to see if I could add a few more to my collection, House Doctor only showed me retailers in Denmark!

Others Things You Should Know

I’m going to have to say the bed is the best part in a bed and breakfast 😉

LOL. Fair enough. But having someone ELSE make the breakfast is a definite bonus!

Agree Jeanne! Fun review and I love that your son thought those were stone shot glasses 😆
