SkinStore is a one-stop-shop for everything you need in the premium beauty world. They feature everything from luxury skincare to french pharmacy products and everything in between. They definitely know their skincare- and they just released a limited edition box in collaboration with Dealmoon, the largest Chinese-American shopping site, featuring over $300 worth of beauty products with multiple full-size items.

The SkinStore limited edition box is available (while stocks last) for $155 (and it is currently on sale for $77.50!).

This box was sent to us at no cost to review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

This set is packaged inside of a bright red box showing both the Skinstore and Dealmoon logo. Open up the flap of the box and you find a matching red information booklet and everything securely packaged inside of tissue paper. The box is definitely sturdy- if you're the kind of person who likes to repurpose the boxes, this would be an awesome one to keep (I'm currently using mine as a stand for my Riki vanity mirror because the box is the perfect height to get a good angle when I attach my phone to the mirror and film videos for TikTok). I like how the information booklet for this box has details in both English and Chinese- I think that's a cool touch for this collaboration.

The Breakdown- What's Inside This Limited Edition SkinStore Box

Slip Marble Sleep Mask - Retail Value $50

I don't usually wear an eye mask to go to bed, but boy do these come in handy when the sun is streaming in through my windows and I want to keep sleeping. This sleep mask from Slip is made with 100% mulberry silk, and it is so incredibly soft against my skin. I really like the black and white marble design of this sleep mask, too- it makes me feel more chic when I am getting some shut-eye.

Decorté Liposome Moisture Serum, 2 oz - Retail Value $125

I've been wanting to try this serum ever since a sample of it was a variation in a recent Allure Beauty Box, but my jaw dropped when I realized this box included a full-size bottle! For such a pricy serum I was a bit surprised this came packaged in plastic instead of glass, but it still had a nice weight to it and I love the deep purple color of the packaging. Formula-wise, this serum is made with Liposome technology that features time-released tiny capsules of hydration that leaves skin moisturized as soon as you apply it, and keeps your skin hydrated even hours later. This worked really well for my skin- I experience a noticeable difference in my skin's hydration levels when I use this, and I like how thin and lightweight it is because it layers really well with my other skincare products and doesn't feel heavy on my face.

FOREO Luna Play - Listed Value $39 (buy the new FOREO Luna Play Plus 2 for $59)

This is not my first Foreo Luna Play, but I haven't seen one of these bad boys in a while- I almost feel nostalgic for the pastel silicone cleansing brush. A cleansing tool like this isn't a part of my regular routine, but I like to reach for them when I am trying to be more intentional about using my skincare routine as a form of self-care. I usually will use this when I am taking a bath and am using a cleanser I really enjoy, and this adds to the overall self-care experience. It's not a necessity by any means, but it does add a touch of luxury that I enjoy when I have the time to do so.

PCA Skin Clearskin, 1.7 oz - Retail Value $50

I personally consider PCA Skin to be one of those brands that are reputable and effective, and I've felt that way ever since I was a young adult and visited the dermatologist during a severe acne breakout- their 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser was the number one product the doctor recommended to me. This moisturizer features 4% niacinamide along with amino acids and a few different botanical extracts, and it's hydrating while being very lightweight. The formula is designed to be calming to breakout-prone or oily skin, and I definitely can attest it was calming to my skin. Texture-wise this is a great morning moisturizer for me, and those with oily skin will probably enjoy it as an evening moisturizer as well.

StriVectin Hyaluronic Omega Moisture Lip Mask, 0.3 oz - Retail Value $28

The more products I try from StriVectin the more I become obsessed with them, and that held true with this lip mask- I think it's actually my favorite product in the entire box, even though there are many pricier options I could pick. I have been using this so much since receiving it that I am actually more than halfway through the jar. I suffer from pretty severe dry lips, so I am always slathering on lip products and usually use lip masks as lip balms just because I need a heavy hitter. This lip mask is incredibly thick and hydrating thanks to the omega-rich fatty acids, hyaluronic acid, botanical extracts, castor oil, and shea butter, but it also leaves my lips super glossy. We're talking glossier than some actual lip glosses glossy. I have been reaching for it multiple times a day both for the shine it gives me and the intense nourishment it gives my lips, and I do not plan on stopping. I will say the texture is thick and a little stickier than your standard lip mask- I recommend a tool like this for applying it so you don't have to use your fingers.

Perricone MD Face Finishing & Firming Moisturizer, 7.5 ml - Estimated Value $11 (buy the 15 ml version for $22, the 59 ml version for $69)

This was a solid moisturizer for me- it was hydrating without being too heavy, and I do think my skin looked a touch plumper once I was done massaging it in. I didn't actually notice the rose scent this allegedly has- I don't mind fragranced products so that wouldn't have bothered me, but if you're sensitive to scents I can attest that this one isn't very noticeable at all. Ingredients-wise this moisturizer features kukui nut seed oil, vitamin E, and DMEA, which is a derivative of vitamin B and has been shown to help mitigate fine lines and wrinkles with consistent use.

Erno Laszlo Pore Cleansing Clay Mask, 1 oz - Retail Value $20

I've used this mask before, but it's been more than a year so I was happy to get a fresh new tube in this box. Erno Laszlo is another one of those brands I just mentally associate with higher-end products and results. I've been a devoted user of their eye masks for more than two years, but this clay mask is a nice one, too. It features bentonite and kaolin clay so I can't use it on my dry skin too often, but it also has calamine which makes the texture of this mask pink and also gives a calming balance to the detoxifying effects of the clays. This is a mask that felt awesome to use along my jawline after a long day of wearing a face mask, and if you suffer from oily skin this would work well on your t-zone, too.

Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt, 1.35 oz - Estimated Value $8.94 (buy the 8 oz version for $53)

I absolutely adore this scalp scrub- even though I have a backlog of the stuff I am still happy to receive more because if I won't use it myself I'll give it to a friend who I think will become as obsessed with it as I am. This scrub has large granules of sea salt, and it feels amazing to massage the scrub into my scalp. I have a lot of curls, but I have no issues with this rinsing away and leaving my scalp clean and feeling refreshed. It's not insanely drying on my scalp, either- I don't know if it is the sweet almond oil in the formula or something else, but this scrub strikes the perfect balance of leaving my hair and scalp clean without feeling stripped of its natural oils.

TONYMOLY I'm Real Aloe Sheet Single Mask - Retail Value $3

I've used more of the I'm Real masks from TONYMOLY than I can count- at this point, they're like an old friend I can always reliably reach for when I want to use a sheet mask, no matter what is going on with my skin. The formula features aloe (if the name and packaging design didn't tip you off), and it also has hyaluronic acid and bamboo, so this is a hydrating and soothing mask that feels great on my skin and helps me to relax.

La-Roche Posay Lipikar Balm AP+, 0.5 oz - Estimated Value $1.11 (buy the 6.76 oz version for $14.99)

I am always happy to try products from LRP- I wish they were easier to grab where I lived because I think they would be my favorite drugstore brand if I could actually buy them at my local drugstore. French pharmacies get all the luck! Anyways, this was my first time trying their body cream, and it was awesome. It wasn't so thick it felt heavy on my skin, but it felt really nourishing to my skin and absorbed quickly. My boyfriend liked it, too- he asked for a lotion for some chafing on his legs, and he said this stuff worked great. I really like that a decent-size bottle is pretty reasonably priced, too.

bathroom counter with silk face mask, FOREO cleanser, lip mask, and moisturizer sample

This box arrived before I took a trip for my birthday, and a lot of the products in this box were perfect for traveling.

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $155 (currently on sale for $77.50!!)

Cost Breakdown:

  • Slip: $23.06
  • Decorte: $57.66
  • FOREO: $17.99
  • PCA Skin: $23.06
  • StriVectin: $12.92
  • Periconne MD: $5.07
  • Erno Laszlo: $9.22
  • Christophe Robin: $4.12
  • TONYMOLY: $1.38
  • LRP: $0.51

If you enjoy good quality skincare, I definitely think you will love this box- especially if you can grab it while it is on sale! Value-wise, my math adds up to $336.05 for everything in the box.

Key Takeaways

With a high price tag comes high expectations, but once again SkinStore absolutely met its mark with its collaboration with Dealmoon. I am over the moon that I was able to receive such luxury items like the Slip sleep mask and Decorte serum, and that lip mask from StriVectin is quickly reaching holy grail status. Everything comes packaged beautifully, so this would be an awesome option for gifting where you could divvy up the contents between multiple recipients for a portion of the price. At the full price, I do think the curation and high value make this box worth it (you save more than 50% off of retail), but for the sale price, I would almost consider this a downright steal- I am highly tempted to buy another box and hold onto it until Christmas (or maybe keep my favorite products and list the others on the MSA swap site).

Other Things You Should Know

Jessica, CVS pharmacy sells LaRoche-Posay products and is available online. They also have percent off coupons. You could try this.
