There's a Subscription For That is a new series spotlighting subscriptions the team at My Subscription Addiction finds interesting and is excited to share with readers.

The same old morning routine can get a little repetitive. Get up. Make coffee. Toast bread. Eat breakfast. Go to work. If you need a little help breaking out of the rut, look no further than your fridge. When you open the door, you probably see some jam, right? Is it strawberry? Grape? Maybe orange marmalade?

Maybe it's time to ditch the average run-of-the-mill flavors and walk on the wild side. Grocery stores tend to only stock the usual suspects, but small-batch jam producers know how to flip the script. If you're looking to jazz up your morning routine and tickle your tastebuds, there are plenty of creative concoctions out there if you know where to look. And if you want to receive small-batch jam every month like clockwork, there's a subscription for that.

Pacifica, California's Small Batch Jam Company produces jam the old fashioned way. The preserves are all made by hand using the same techniques grandma employed, and the fruit is sourced from fruit stands, farmers markets, and local growers. If you know what you like, you can browse the online store for the jam, jelly, marmalade, or fruit butter of your dreams.

Mad for marmalade? Small Batch Jam Company has flavors like Sweet Lime, Quince Lemon, and Yuzu Honey. Jams more your jam? The virtual shelves are stocked with creations like Raspberry Jalapeño, Pink Grapefruit Vanilla, Apricot Brandy, Orange Chai, and Rosemary Prosecco Clementine.

If you simply can't choose for yourself, Small Batch Jam Company's Jam of the Month Club delivers a new selection of innovative flavors every single month. Subscribers receive two jars of jam in every shipment. Here are some of the recent selections:

  • July 2021- Tangerine Turmeric Marmalade & Apple Butter
  • June 2021- Turkish Fig Ginger Jam & Strawberry Lavender Jam
  • May 2021- Amaretto Pear Butter & Black Splendor Plum Jam
  • April 2021- Apple Jelly & Cocktail Grapefruit Marmalade

The Details

I’m really interested in something like this, but not for $25 per month. I can buy a couple of jars of handmade jam from my local farmer’s market and still save money and not deal with shipping. The flavors offered here sound pretty yummy though!
