We still have a month or so of summer left, let's savor it! Our first item in this month's box is a grapefruit body balm. The shape of the balm is that of a deodorant stick which I found useful because it can be carried anywhere. I've never used a balm stick before but imagined it would be like rubbing chapstick on your arm. That's exactly how it felt once I applied. While it's more concentrated than lotion, I think I'll stick to lotion for full body moisture. I will, however, keep this little stick in my purse to be used as a hand moisturizer.

Yes to windows being opened and fresh scents being used in the home! Let this aroma spray lighten up your living space, underwear drawer, curtains- it's up to you and your imagination. I used this spray in my bedroom and bathroom. This fresh lemon/sunflower fragrance is so pleasing. Delivering perfect summer vibes!

Can you believe I've never used a fragrance-free hand soap before in my 34 years of life? Can you believe even more that I now prefer my hand soap to be fragrance-free? I was very pleased with this product! Instead of fragrance being the focus, this hand soap is all about cleanliness and moisture. The coconut and sunflower oil leaves hands feeling soft, and there is no awkward scent. Just nice clean (and very soft) hands.
Imaya Beauty Retinoic Face Oil, 30 ml – Estimated Value $47.53

Nothing makes me appreciate a beauty product more than when there is a positive mission behind it. All items in Sam & Lance's quarterly boxes have incredibly inspirational missions, but I was specifically impressed with this brand's mission. Imaya Beauty was founded in collaboration with the Kokama community in Peru to help preserve the biodiversity of the Amazon Rainforest. This face oil is made from 100% sustainably wild harvested Aguaje oil and is handcrafted by Amazonian women. I was relieved to read that this oil is good for all skin types as I have acne-prone skin and am often nervous to use facial oils. The oil was not heavy or greasy, rather light and left my face feeling conditioned. The sweet botanical smell was an added bonus.
The Good Tee Sleep Eye Mask – Retail Value $14.50

Sleep masks cause me a bit of anxiety. They completely block out any kind of light, which makes me jump at every noise, movement, etc. This mask would make the perfect gift however for those who need complete darkness for their slumber. The material is pillow-like soft and the velcro makes this easily adjustable for all head shapes and sizes. Also, how cute are these cacti?

Our final item in this month's box is a cute journal with all the blank pages you need to let your creativity flow! I am someone who is constantly jotting down ideas as soon as they come to me. These ideas can consist of home redecorating, film scripts, grocery lists - literally, everything and anything can get written down. Believe me, when I say, this notebook will be filled by year's end. 🙂
Verdict
What a delightful summer box from Sam & Lance! The aroma spray will continue to liven up my space until that first fall leaf hits the ground (then it's on to autumn scents). I've really appreciated and made good use of the balm stick. Due to the constant washing of hands, my skin tends to get really dry. This stick has helped tremendously with keeping me moisturized!
