great british bake off box eclairs

If you've spent your fair share of time on the couch watching the Great British Bake Off (or the Great British Baking Show as it's been renamed on PBS), you're our kind of person! Did you know there's now a Great British Bake Off subscription box?

The GBBO box is officially licensed by Love Productions, the company behind the show. Alas we haven't done any taste tests — yet — but we've managed to scrounge up enough tasty morsels to help you prep for its arrival!

First off — the big question — is the Great British Bake Off subscription box coming to the United States? Unfortunately, no. The GBBO box is United Kingdom-only, so American fans will have to find a buddy who lives across the pond to make the purchase and ship it over.

Still curious? We had a feeling you might be.

The boxes will begin shipping this September, and each box will be based on the new season of the Great British Bake Off — season 12 which will be airing this year in the UK (and hitting Netflix here in the states a few days later).

What's in the box:

  • A surprise recipe featured on Great British Bake Off Season 12
  • A step-by-step, illustrated recipe card
  • All of the pre-measured dry ingredients from carefully selected suppliers
  • A bespoke piece of Bake Off equipment in duck-egg blue
  • A detailed checklist, so you can prepare everything you need
  • A collectible postcard, beautifully illustrated by the show’s illustrator Tom Hovey

Subscribers can sign up for a three-month bundle to get boxes in September, October, and November, or sign up for just a monthly plan.

The Cost: Boxes will cost about $27 US or 19.99 pounds for a monthly plan with a discount for a longer commitment and free shipping.

Good to Know: Subscribers will have to supplement the ingredients in the box with items such as eggs and milk in order to prepare their bakes. A portion of the profits from each box will benefit Stand Up to Cancer.

Do you think the box should be offered here in the US? Let us know, and check out some of the best baking subscription boxes we've tested!

Love the show, would love the box, but doubt they’d be able to send actual food ingredients overseas without a tangle of red tape to navigate. I can’t wait to read the reviews, though.

What a wonderful idea! As popular as this show is here in the United States, it would be awesome if it were available to the American citizens!

This should definitely be available in the US! This show has a huge following here. I just went to buy a subscription box for both myself and a friend until I realized it won’t ship here. Devastated!
