Got my box yesterday after being on the waitlist for sooooo long. Pretty underwhelming 🙁 The bag is cute tho, I will use that for traveling. I like the see through bags like that. The samples are so small and the actual product in them is even smaller, I hate that about this box.
The scents (both Coach) are really lovely, and I can’t wait to try the face tanner this weekend.

Are there full spoilers available now?

I saw a picture on the Macy’s site today. It was glitching for me though so I could not confirm the fragrances.

I’ve been trying to connect for the last three hours. Your site is generating an application error (Heroku tail error). As the morning as gone on the errors have changed.

The redesign is so crazy busy. I’m not sure who did the UX design but it’s so noisy it’s hard to find anything and the search function isn’t as effective as the previous.

Wow, I have just signed on to this site after being away with real life issues during Covid. I have to say that the new format is definitely NOT an improvement. Can’t find a thing that I want to read.

JuJu

As far as I can see they only changed the appearance of the site, not the functionality.

Also, none of the buttons under “My Account” actually work. I don’t think they should have rolled out the new format so prematurely.

Weird spoilers. It doesn’t seem like full spoilers if we don’t really know what’s going to be in our bags (even if there is variation).

I swear I have been on their waiting list for years! Does anyone know how long it takes to get a paid subscription?

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

I was on wait list for 10 months then last month it said it was active and July would be my first box but never charged me and now it says August is my first box but again I haven’t been charged but it says it can charge until the 7th so we will see.

I was on for what felt like years, and I know was a least a year. Just got on the list and this will be my first box, and not so exciting.

And yes this site is awful, I came here for you reviewers I miss y’all!

Reply ButtonReply

Dorie

Yes, it’s my first month too, and I’m not too excited, except after being on waitlist for so long, I’ll take it. I always enjoy the fragrances, so I’ll just consider it a $15 fragrance purchase this month, and giveaway what I don’t like. I hate cleansing oils.

SubBoxSarah

I was on the waitlist for 6 months, July was the first box I’ve gotten

Sad to see that people have been on the waiting list for a long time. I was just put on the waiting list last month and they just emailed me yesterday that I am getting one next month. I would call them and see what is going on.

Tiffany Nicole

I’ve been on the waitlist for the longest time too and don’t understand how I haven’t made it off of it yet.

What in the world happened to MSA? It’s time for me to find a new site- I am so confused. I do not know where to go. This is ridiculous!!

Reply ButtonReply

Hanna

This site is no longer user friendly at all. I can never find what I’m looking for. You have to scroll through so much junk to get anywhere. Its a mess!

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

I sooo agree!!

The description here and the photo of the bag on the macys beauty box site of the products don’t match whatsoever.

Reply ButtonReply

Aidan

When I looked Macys was showing the bag from 2017 which was so confusing

Who is still paying for samples?

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

I do. If they are nice brands, I would gladly pay for samples.

SUBSCRIPTION SNOB, I am so beyond perplexed by your response. First off, I’d actually LOVE a subscription box for pens, I would all over that. Beyond that, are you seriously coming to a subscription box website to preach to the people here that enjoy subscription boxes that they should stop buying subscription boxes? Why in the world are you here if you don’t enjoy subscription boxes? Are you confused about what this website is for? These are genuine questions because I cannot understand why you left this comment. Do you go to motorcyclelovers.com (fictional website) and get on their comment section and talk about the dangers of motorcycles?

I feel pretty strongly about this one. From my experience with sub boxes, no doubt. There are several articles on the Internet about why paying for samples is not smart…from no expiration dates and possibly being expired, being rotated around from seller to seller before you even get it. There’s also not being able to guarantee where they came from in a lot of cases. Quality difference between sample and full size formulas. To the fact that skincare costs nothing to produce in huge vats…but is way overvalued by customers. It really is a scam. None of this skincare is worth anywhere near the values they place on them. that’s why they offer so much skin, body and Haircare as filler in lifestyle boxes like fff. It’sa cheap product that can be sold for premium prices. And these companies aren’t wanting you to buy a sample to try and then if you like it you’ll buy the full size… They are selling you the sample as an end product. The sample IS the product for sale. Just in very tiny portions. They don’t even care about selling the large product if they can sell tons of samples. Mostly we’re paying for all that packaging. Tons of plastic used to contain teeny amounts of creams and potions to fill our landfills. And they’re like selling magic in a bottle. It’s really that silly. Do we need to sample an endless array of Face creams and lotions. Have you ever run across one and said here it is! My search is over. Went out and bought the full size and are done sampling? No. It never ends. The money and supply keep flowing. When they’re all pretty much the same. Just go to the store, pick out a decent looking cream, when you run out- buy another one. There’s really no need to constantly be sampling. We don’t do that with any other product. From food, household cleaners, tampons, motor oil, house paint, pens, paper, soft drinks, whatever you can think of that we use regularly. Why don’t we endlessly sample those kinds of items?? Why don’t we get a box of pens every week to try out. Everyday sit down and write with the new pens. Test them out everyday? Because it would be a stupid waste of our time and money. We’ve gotta think in those contexts. Stop stocking our house with crap that goes bad or out of style before you will even use it and go live a life. A lot of this is shopping addiction. Buying stupid items that you don’t need and just have a grandiose view of their importance. This is what I have learned from sub boxing! I like to bundle shop for items I need and call it a day until months later when I need more. I’ll find a good deal and be done. Sorry those are my thoughts. We consumers are being consumed by these companies.

Nichole

Yes. And these are brands Macy’s carries in-store – never any of those white label “brands” that anyone can slap a label on!

Monique

It amazes me that people complain about the allure box which is $23 and includes several full size items, but then pay $15 for deluxe samples. This box is not worth it.

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

I agree what everyone else said. Don’t want inflated RV full size 111Skin product made in China. I want real brands even if they are samples. Allure is not worth it. Love real brands Macy’s sends in their bag

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

I like the box and the samples are very generous. Some items are full size too.

Reply ButtonReply

JoJoB

That depends on what is important to you. I don’t want fake crap even if it is full size. So I happily pay for this box because I am getting real samples of real products. So it’s worth it to me. That’s my opinion. Just like it’s your opinion that it’s worth it to pay $23 for a full size product from Allure that I consider cheap filler. That’s what makes the world go round!

Reply ButtonReply

Subscription Snob

They’re both a bad idea.

JuJu

Yeah, plus they are so misleading with those full sizes in terms of the RV. They can claim anything, that the box value is $200, $300, whatever – but in reality it’s just a box of crap, and doesn’t have any items I actually want to use.

Carol

Yeah. I prefer samples. That’s why I like boxes like this and the sets at Sephora and Ulta. I want to try things before I buy. I don’t want full sizes of weird brands or poorly-selling shades.

Rebecca

It depends on whether you buy stuff at Macy’s. Each box comes with a $5 or $10 off any purchase coupon. I use them for items I’d be buying anyway.

Kristin

I’d love to come off wait list it has been forever!

Reply ButtonReply

Tiffany Nicole

I’ve been on the waitlist forever, I would love to actually get off of it at some point. Ive pretty much lost hope though

Reply ButtonReply

Autumn P

Found it! I was going to ask about the wait time dealing w/the waitlist…But figured I should keep scrolling to see if anyone mentioned it. I am defeated to even get put on the waiting list…especially for as long as some ppl have said they’ve been waiting. I wish they would expand their samples/sub-box products. They should have somewhat of a clue of how many would be enough or an idea of how many ppl are STILL on the list!!

JuJu

Hmm, did Macy’s change the format of how they provide spoilers now?

And I wonder if they’ll be doing variants now, too… 😒

Reply ButtonReply

Maddie in PA

The nature and quality of spoilers have indeed changed but I don’t think it’s Macy’s nor is it limited to this one sub. Since the site “upgrade”, lots of spoilers are just screenshots of IG posts.

Sad.

Reply ButtonReply

Rl

Yes since they “upgraded” the site everything is wonky, I certainly hope they just change it back so we can actually find things once again.

Snow

Right? This was an odd “spoiler” post. Just let us know what’s inside please with a picture to match.

Heather

I just received mine. It has the following:
Laura Gellar baked highlighter
Glamglow Glowstar Mega Illuminating moisturizer
Mario Badescu cleansing oil
Coola sunless tan anti-aging face serum
Caudalie Vinoperfect complexion correcting radiance serum
Coach Dreams Sunset tiny sample
Coach men’s Blue tiny sample
Makeup bag

Not my favorite month, but not horrible. I actually really like the Coach fragrance and will probably use everything except the sunless tanning serum.
