Every time I tried to open this post up (and the other ipsy choice one) this morning I got an error message. So something isn’t right with or without a Snickers bar.

🙄 Ipsy has a literal timeline on their website. They are the most organized of any beauty subscription. All MSA has to do is take that info & schedule some posts. Yet they consistently screw up their Ipsy coverage every month. We have been begging MSA to fix it, because we don’t WANT to leave the site. We want to see MSA succeed and thrive, and it could if those in charge CARED even a little bit.

Add me to the list of people who are beyond disappointed and frustrated at this point. I have always enjoyed Ipsy choice morning, in particular reading the comments about what other people chose, etc. That of course didn’t happen this time, since this post didn’t go up until around dinner time, looooong after we had all made our choices. And yes, the post isn’t even accurate, so there’s that. To say nothing of the confusion created with the post entitled GBP Choice Time (which isn’t until next week).
I have tried so hard to be patient with the site redesign, and to give the benefit of the doubt whenever possible. I was glad to see some changes made based on reader feedback. And I 1000% understand that the site needs to operate as an income-generating business, and that the sub-box world is changing, so I was fine with changes, even if some new types of posts weren’t things of interest to me personally. But what I don’t understand is why these new things are being posted to the exclusion of the core posts of spoilers, reviews, Ipsy choice day announcements and the like, that are so fundamental to the subscription box world? How hard is it to screen shot the choice items and timely slap them up in a post in the morning?? With these late/inaccurate Ipsy posts, I pretty much have hit my limit.

Well, now that this post has been updated after I left this comment, some of what I said doesn’t make sense if you are just seeing the post now for the first time. I’m glad they updated it, but I’m still really not sure why it couldn’t have been posted the right way to start, and in the morning of the day of choice. Sigh.

I’m confused by something. This will be my first month getting Glam Bag X. Yet it’s still offering me a choice for the Glam Bag (I’m skipping Plus, and in my account, it shows I’m getting Glam Bag X instead of regular Glam Bag). I assume I shouldn’t make a choice, because then it would cancel out the Glam Bag X?

They ask you to make a reg bag choice for your first X just in case something happens and you actually don’t get it (Like your payment doesn’t go through or another reason). It’s safe to make the choice.

If you skip GBP and only have glambag and choose to get x it will replace your glambag. If you don’t skip GBP it will replace GBP. I’m getting glambag and x in place of GBP bur for some reason it’s not letting me choose for my glambag.

You can subscribe to receive the glam bag in addition to the glam bag X. The glam bag X is taking the place of your glam bag plus. Doing your choices for your bag won’t cancel your other bag.

My understanding is that you can still choose, but that choice will be ignored bc you will get GBX instead.

Depends on what you signed up for. Customization is now for regular GB and August 2 for GBP and GBX.

So, in addition to MSA incorrectly posting that Glam Bag Plus Choice is open, this post is also wrong. These are not the items that were available in Choice.

This is the choices I got for my regular Ipsy glam bag so not sure where you get your info. I chose the Marc Anthony leave in conditioner.

Yes and no. Yes, not everyone gets all the choices to pick from (for example, MSA’s updated post now shows a screenshot that does not include the M2U lipstick). But no, Choice really is not that different from person to person, and MSA had posted a completely wrong list.
