May 2021 Ignis Vellabox Review

Included in our Vellabox were info cards with extra details on the brand and the scent that is in this month's box.

Now, on to the candle.

Wax & Wane Candles 'Cactus Flower' Candle, 8 oz - Retail Value $20.00

My first impression of this candle's fragrance was a watery green scent that felt really perfect for summertime. It is sweet and earthy but still feels like a perfume one might wear. It became even more complex when lit, as the heat of the flame seemed to pull out a little of that earthy patchouli. While I wouldn't call this a floral scent really, it does have a hint of petals that make it sweet and light in a good way. It was a scent I noticed in my living room but didn't find overpowering at all. I have a favorite Japanese incense I have been burning lately and it and this candle make great partners in my home!

And each Vellabox also comes with a little treat like a food or beauty item:

Woolzies Shea Butter & Jasmine Handmade Soap

I absolutely love Jasmine anything and this little hunk of soap was delightfully floral and left my hands clean.

Verdict: This month's Vellabox candle was very pretty in both scent and appearance. I love a green and aqua sort of scent for the warmer months and the additional notes of petals and earth came together to form a candle that felt both boutique but natural.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

Anyone in hot climates have issues with them melting?

Oh, interesting! I got a Woolzies lavender essential oil instead of the soap. I love this sub. Not a huge value above the cost, I’d say, but a lovely subscription I look forward to receiving every month.
