Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask Returns 6/15 with a New Formula
Summer Fridays cult-fave Jet Lag mask had a rough start in 2021. It was a featured product in the January 2021 Boxycharm Premium and featured in a prominent position on Sephora shelves, until issues with sensitivity caused Boxycharm to send out a warning email and Sephora to pull the product both online and in stores.
But coming June 15th, the Jet Lag Mask is back with a better formula tailored to avoid sensitivity and add even more soothing benefits to skin with the addition of panthenol, chamomile, and allantoin. All fragrances and essential oils have been removed so this new formula doesn't have that faint mint scent of its predecessor. The new formula will arrive in boxes and tubes that are labeled "Updated Formula" (see below) though the brand explicitly states that the texture will be the same and familiar to customers who already know and love this mask.

Sooooooooo….I wonder if this means that boxy charm (as well as other boxes) will have a tube of the new formulation in an upcoming box as compensation for such a tragedy this past winter….hmmmmmmmmm….

Had to chuckle at this one!! Certainly not a tragedy by any means!! I wish I could consider this a tragedy because that would mean my life was pretty good! People are getting very hateful in the comments about these sub boxes, which is crazy to me. I got into subscription boxes for the fun and surprise of it. I never expected every single product to work for me and its unrealistic anyway!

Agreed! This is a product that was in a subscription box a lot of people got, so it IS relevant. So many lurking haters lately.

I believe it was a different Summer Fridays product in the summer FFF box – this is a mask, the one in FFF is a serum. Unless the mask was offered as an add-on?

The original mask burned my face and left me super red and inflamed- I was so disappointed because of all the hype. I’m happy they’re reformulating without the peppermint and hope to try it!

That’s exactly what happened to me and I was bummed because I was no longer able to return it by the time I tried it.
I’m glad they reformulated it, but I am still a bit too nervous to try it at this point! I’ll be interested to see what people think.

Actually, it directly relates to BoxyCharm, this was a product that was included in a recent BoxyCharm box that caused a lot of people some significant problems (chemical burns on their face), so the news of them ditching their prior formulation is pretty relevant here.
