Everyone knows Sephora is a beauty store where you can find almost anything and everything related to makeup, skincare, body care, haircare, and selfcare, but did you know they also frequently release curated limited edition sets? They recently released the Hello! Out-Of-This-World-Beauty set, and it only cost $10! Of course, I couldn't resist the urge to grab one.
FYI – this kit is still available for purchase!
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Sephora Favorites: Hello! Out-Of-This-World Beauty Box Review
LANEIGE Glowy Makeup Serum, 5 ml – Estimated Value $5.33 (buy the 30 ml version for $32.00)
Okay, this product comes in the absolute cutest tiny pink shimmery bottle- I adore it. I was a little confused as to how to use this product, though- I know it’s a serum, but it’s supposed to help with makeup, but where do I apply my sunscreen in all of this? What I ended up doing was applying this over my (thin) morning moisturizer, patting it in until it was fully absorbed. At this point, I definitely noticed a radiant glow all over my face- maybe from that diamond mineral powder in the ingredients list? Then I followed up with my Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen, which is on the sheer side. As I expected, the glow from the serum was still visible underneath my sunscreen. I then brushed on a setting powder just to lock everything in, and I was really happy with how it looked. Along with that diamond powder, this also has ceramides, aloe, and jojoba. It even has fructooligosaccharides on the ingredients list (I don’t actually know what that is but I’ve never seen that word before and I find it rather delightful). I think the next time I use this I may try a few drops on top of my sunscreen- this is a fun serum to play around with.
Lancôme Juicy Tubes Original Lip Gloss in Marshmallow Electro, 7 ml – Estimated Value $9.33 (buy the 15 ml version for $20.00)
90’s babies rejoice- the Juicy tubes are back. Lancôme actually brought them back about a year ago, and I jumped on purchasing one so fast just for the nostalgia alone. I actually purchased this exact shade- Marshmallow Electro is a sugar pink with rose gold shimmer, and I love the playful touch of color and beautiful shine this gives my lips. Yes, it’s a bit thick, but I actually enjoyed that because my lips have been cracking lately and this felt like a barrier between my lips and the cruel outside world. The staying power is pretty good for a gloss too- for breakfast, I had a bagel and an iced Starbucks drink (with the new plastic top that you sip from instead of using a straw), and my gloss was still going strong even after I was done eating.
Here I am wearing the lip gloss. As you can see, it just gives a hint of pink shine that I think is really pretty with my complexion. I also have that Laneige serum on under my sunscreen!
Kiehl‘s Since 1851 Midnight Recovery Concentrate, 4 ml – Estimated Value $7.73 (buy the 0.5 version for $29.00)
This is a lightweight oil designed to hydrate dry skin, and with squalane, jojoba oil, evening primrose oil, and lavender in the formula it has great ingredients to get the job done. I never realized Kiehl's actually classified this as an oil- I always used it in the serum step whenever I went through samples of it. I like to apply this underneath a thicker moisturizer, and my dry sensitive skin soaks it up all night while I sleep.
Caudalie Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum, 10 ml – Estimated Value $16.33 (buy the 30 ml version for $49.00)
I was so stoked that Sephora offered two variations for this set- the only change was if you would receive this serum or the Vinoperfect Radiance Dark Spot Serum from Caudalie. That serum is loved by many, but I actually am not crazy about it so I was excited to choose this new-to-me option instead. This serum features salicylic acid that's derived from wintergreen and that's paired with botanical essential oils like spearmint, lavender, lemongrass, and rosemary (which are diluted with carrier oils- something I appreciate Caudalie specifying because straight-up essential oils can be very sensitizing and irritating to the skin). The goal is to fight the appearance of large pores, oiliness, and blackheads. While my skin is on the dry side, I've noticed that since summer arrived my nose has needed some extra attention. This serum has been perfect for that, and since I am using it in a targeted fashion this generous sample should last me quite a while. Plus, I didn't experience any irritation while using this, and it layered well with the rest of my routine.
Living Proof No Frizz Intense Moisture Hair Mask, 1 oz – Estimated Value $5.67 (buy the 6.7 oz version for $38.00)
I've never tried this hair mask from Living Proof before, but wow did I enjoy it. I could tell that it nourished my curls well and made combing through tangles much easier, but it didn't weigh down my hair after rinsing. I only left it on for five minutes as the instructions said, but that was still more than enough time for my curls to get moisture from this silicone-free mask.
Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau de Parfum, 0.04 oz – Estimated Value $3.60 (buy the 0.33 oz version for $30.00)
Libre is a newer YSL scent, and I am a big fan (I actually picked up the travel spray of this perfume after trying out another Sephora Favorites kit). The fragrance has notes of lavender essence, orange blossom, and musk. I couldn’t really pick up the lavender, but the orange blossom and musk combined for a warm floral scent with more depth than your typical flowery perfume. This smells really sophisticated to me, and this is the perfume I reach for when I want to feel fancy and also need a confidence boost that certain perfumes just give you.
The Wrap Up:
The Verdict: Honestly, it's hard for me to resist the urge to grab any Sephora Favorites set that the brand releases- they're always really fun. I thought this one was especially lovely, and it really reminded me of how fun the Sephora Play! subscription boxes used to be. My favorite products in the box were the Living Proof mask and the Lancôme Juicy Tube, but all of the items worked well for me. Plus, the value is there- everything added up to $47.99, which is just over the promised value of $46 for this $10 box.
Can you still get this box if you order today? Yes, this set is still available for purchase!
Value Breakdown: This kit costs $10 and has a value of $47.99. That means you're paying approximately the following for each item:
- Laneige: $1.11
- Lacome: $1.94
- Kiehl's: $1.61
- Caudalie: $3.40
- Living Proof: $1.18
- YSL: $0.75
