Medusa's Make-Up May 2021 "Wish You Were Here" Review

Along with my beauty items, I received an info card that details what items are in the box. I also received a free lipstick with a $30 or more purchase promo code on Medusa's Makeup site.

Take Time to Chill Bath Salts, 1 oz – Listed Value $10.00

Who else is ready for summer vacays? Looking forward to sending postcards back home that lie and say "Wish you were here"! This package of glittery bath salts screams those sentiments exactly. As most know, I do not have a bathtub, so I did a little experiment with water in a plastic container. The picture does little justice because I love the rich iridescent shimmer in person more! The glitter is also biodegradable.

Cocobetty Coconut Oil Wipe – Listed Value $3.00 (Currently out of stock)

If you've followed along with my reviews, you may notice that I mention using coconut oil as a makeup remover. It's cost-effective, doesn't clog my pores, and gets all of my makeup off. This wipe does the same thing- just on a wipe!

Wow! This is my face after using only the wipe on a full face of makeup. I was so impressed at how the wipe took the majority of my makeup off on the first use!  Now only to find where it is still in stock!

Medusa's Eye Dust (Wasabe), 1.5 g –  Retail Value $9.00

I saw this eye dust color and immediately thought: Emerald City! Wizard of Oz! I love the shimmer and glam of this perfect green.

This color! I loved the swatch on my arm and was hoping it'd look the same on my eyes, but it was much duller. Next time, I'll use shadow primer as I'm sure that will help the shadow to stick.

Public Goods Lip Balm,  .15 oz– Retail Value $2.00

No matter what lippie I wear on any given day, there is a balm worn under it and kept in my purse. This is a great daily moisturizer to have around. It's made with shea butter, coconut oil, and candelilla wax and left my lips so soft. I also like the fact that there is no scent. Just a nice, pure, stick of lip balm.

Medusa's Witch Hazel Waikiki Hibiscus, 1 fl oz – Retail Value $12.95

I had a bad experience with a toner I was using some years back, and haven't used one since. The island reference on this toner bottle intrigued me though and I had to try! I sprayed the mist on my face after cleansing, and it was a welcomed refreshing feel for my skin that had been really irritated that day. The smell is fruity and delightful.

Medusa's Tinted Lip Balm in Spicy, 4 g – Retail Value $14.00

Our last item is a tinted lip balm in the color Spicy, and I'm getting more lukewarm vibes than heat. I like a tinted balm that's really going to give me some kind of color to my lips. I couldn't see much of a difference in color on my lips after using.

Verdict: Not my favorite box I've received from Medusa's Makeup, but still enjoyable! I am on the search for those coconut oil wipes. Such a neat idea for the girls who don't want coconut oil all over their hands *ahem-me*. I estimate I received $50.95 worth of items which is a great price compared to the $18.95 you are paying.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you'll likely receive next month's box. Orders are generally processed within 1-3 business days.

Value Breakdown: At $18.95 for this box, here's what you're paying for each item:

  • Eye Dust- $3.35
  • Balm- $0.74
  • Tinted Balm- $5.21
  • Wipe- $1.12
  • Toner- $4.82
  • Bath Salts -$3.72
