I skipped the regular bag , time to skip this one too. I normally like at least one of the spoilers, unfortunately this time I don’t like any. Resubbed to boxy charm. I ve been very impressed with their ad ons. The $25 i save on glam bag plus I ll be using to purchase boxy charm ad ons

I was planning on skipping July’s plus bag but then I seen the fenty lipstick in uncuffed and I’m just abt out of mine but when you look at ipsys app it shows the fenty in the color bright lips so which is it I wonder or is there going to be two different colors?
Does any one happen to know?

On the Ipsy site under spoilers for GBP the Fenty color is Unattached, so who knows!!???

I also cancelled, I got a bronze eyeliner and it was half the size of full size.on. I looked to find the color and brand it was used! The liner had been used so much that I couldn’t find the name or brand! I was so upset

Ughhh these look terrible! I feel like plus is going downhill the last few months. I used to love their spoilers but I dont like any of these. Cant even skip July bcuz I want August’s x bag. Oh well.

Michele – I think you got lucky. It happened to a friend of mine (she was able to get Ipsy to put her back on the GBX list by contacting CS, but she was in fact removed after skipping). And there’s a bunch of people on r e d d i t talking about how it happened to them.

That’s not true at all. I’ve skipped both months prior to glam bag x and still gotten it.

She’s referring to getting the Glam Bag X in August, not plus – Ipsy will remove people from the Glam Bag X list if they skip their plus the month prior (unless they also have regular glam bag). So if she wants to get GBX in August, she has to get plus in July.

Oldest trick in the book, they do this on purpose so they can push a bag of tired no name brands of things they get for pennies each the month before and you can’t skip or you’ll miss x. it’s all money hungry strategy 🙁

Same! I got my first GBP last month and got was pretty pleased with it. I paused July a week ago because all the spoilers were underwhelming, particularly in comparison to Viseart, Tarte, Christophe Robin, and the much better options for June. I’ve been watching the reveal posts on Reddit and have absolutely no regrets on skipping.

I couldn’t agree with you more, Katy!! I’ve had ipsy and Boxycharm since the early days. Neither are as good as they used to be. I always rant about never getting makeup and receiving a box full of skincare and maybe one wooden pencil. Skincare samples are basically useless to evaluate because you only have enough for a day or two. My ipsy bags both came today. The Base Bag contained the tiniest samples I have ever seen. No deluxe samples…just tiny little trinkets. I skipped July’s Base and will only receive the GBP which is now NOT looking so good. Sadly, I don’t think Boxy is doing any better.

Kenley is right, if you subscribe to the small bag as well and kept that active, then it won’t effect your GBX. But if GBP is your only subscription, pausing it will take you off the GBX list.

I thought about skipping July too but I found out that you lose your spot for GBX if you skip the previous month. Unless you have the regular Glam bag and that can be upgraded to the X. So because I only have the Plus bag and want the GBX, I’m going to get the July Plus bag.

They’re crafty, these subs, aren’t they? BoxyCharm has a similar racket going on with their Premium tier. In order to get Premium you are required to get the Base box as well as the premium box in the same month. It’s not exactly the same thing but in both cases you are forced to spend money you shouldn’t have to.
You should be able to skip the July bag without consequence!

Illuminati quad in a GBP…Ipsy, why you do this? Those were bad enough to get in the regular GB. A lot of this stuff isn’t *bad* per se but doesn’t really feel like it belongs in GBP, with the exception of the Fenty lip item. Ah well, month before X, to be expected I guess.

I’m hardly going to defend Ipsy on this set of spoilers, but I believe the Illuminati quad is an add-on, not a GBP item – I would imagine it would be a $3 add-on like other Illuminati quads have been.
