Still haven’t received the April bag after receiving the shippping e-mail on 4/15.

USPS told me that it’s nowhere in their system. They haven’t received it from Ipsy.

Ipsy says to give it a few more days. Sigh.

Most other subscriptions don’t have this issue, even with COVID. So I think Ipsy needs to look at their shipping procedure.

And STILL haven’t received the April bag. A replacement was sent out by the same slow boat – i.e. DHL-to-USPS. It’s stuck again in Illinois after 10 days. I think Ipsy needs to rethink this system. It’s the second time in a year my box was lost or delayed by more than a month. I’ve never experienced this with any other company. (DHL used to deliver it directly, but now it gets transferred to USPS and that seems to be where the problem is.) Also, Ipsy does not seem to read MSA comments anymore, like they used to do. Here’s a tip – if you have to replace a lost bag – send it by UPS or FedEx!

Has anyone else still not received their April bag? Mine has been sitting in TX for over a week with no movement. It’s never been this late.

A replacement bag was “sent” to me finally on May 7th, but shipping is still waiting for DHL to receive it as of May 11th. “Sent” seems to mean they’ve just printed the shipping label at Ipsy, but apparently it could take 15 days for the bag to get to DHL. Then it has to get transferred to USPS.

I have a few other subscription bags and NONE of them have such a long shipping time.

Weirdly, I used to get my Ipsy bag delivered by DHL, so why they started transferring it midstream to USPS is beyond me.

My first reply to you didn’t seem to post, so trying again. No, mine has been stuck in Illinois since April 17th. Ipsy’s only response to this was – COVID. I don’t think it’s a COVID issues.

Kelly

Also – I was expecting Replacements razor blades with this order so I’m not thrilled that I’m waiting to replace my razor blade two weeks longer than usual. My Birchbox and Ipsy bags often arrive on the same day, but I got my BIrchbox almost two weeks ago.

Hi – No, I haven’t received mine either! It’s been in Melrose, IL since April 17th. The status says that USPS is awaiting the package.

I contacted Ipsy and their only respond was – COVID. At this point, it’s been frozen for two weeks and I don’t think it’s a COVID issue. I filled out USPS’s online search form and am waiting to hear something.

This bag’s not a home run for me, but looking at all of the items available this month I’m guessing that that’s because there are a ton of repeats. Kinda wild to me that there have been this many repeats in the 6 months I’ve been subscribed, but I guess COVID is really impacting supply!
I’m getting:
– FIRST AID BEAUTY Facial Radiance Pads (I’ll use ’em and I’ll like ’em. But I’ll be grumpy about it, haha. I just feel like these are so wasteful!…even though they’re probably less wasteful than a plastic container for a sample-size product)
– ORYZA BEAUTY Nude Shimmer & Contour Eyeshadow Palette (I had to squint to see how this was different from the Camo palette a few months back. The camo one was great, the amethyst one was a total disappointment, but here’s hoping this’ll be another hit!)
– PACIFICA BEAUTY Cherry Gold Highligher & Blush (my pick! So I’m telling myself that the bag is worth it for this alone, which tbh it kinda is for me since I love these little duos so much.)
– REN CLEAN SKINCARE Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask (I was super bummed about this until I started typing this up and realized hey, masks like this are one of the coolest items to get sample-sized since they’re in theory meant to show some result after one use. And I love everything I know about this company!)
– TATCHA Water Cream (meh. I know people love it, but I’m worried the smell will be a total dealbreaker…and I’m almost through my last moisturizer whose smell I didn’t care for!)

The good news is that this bag reminded me to cancel my annual so it doesn’t renew in August! One less auto-renew is always a good thing. 🙂

After the issues with my February never showing up which wound up with me getting refunded my add on and getting sent the cheaper equivalents that they still had lying around sent to me. I skipped last month and wish I had this month as well.

I’m getting
Anastasia Beverly Hills mini eye primer- strangely have never used an eye primer before

Beau gachis concealer brush – another 1? Only been back 6 months and think I’ve been sent 3

Belle en argent bronzed eyeshadow duo-I have neutrals unselected having never put it as a want and have 1 starred each one they’ve sent. I’m neutral cool and warm tones like this look like hell on me.

Grace and Stella mud mask-I have all masks set to rarely and have 1 starred each and everyone I’ve been sent (at least 1 in every bag they’ve sent me) because I do not and will not use them. Ugh

Saint luxe highlighter in celestial-have to see how it looks in person but looks like a very warm pink so doubt I’ll be using it. Only 1 item and it’s the one i chose. Hoping my points items ship with my bag so I can cancel. Pointless if I’m just gonna keep getting sent only things I dislike or in the case of kensie being an item (I have 3 different ones and a double as well) something I’m allergic to. Why must they have perfumes and so much floral?

I’m actually really happy with my bag this month. I’m getting:

Hey Honey Trick & Treat Lip Balm – I love this brand. Every I’ve been happy with every product I’ve received from them so far.

Milk Makeup Kush Mascara – I haven’t tried this brand yet so I’m happy to receive it.

Nomad Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Aperitivo – I love the shadows from this brand and at least it isn’t gold or nude. It’s a nice pink shade.

Tatcha the Water Cream – My choice product. I’ve tried it before and enjoyed it. Glad to get another one.

Veriphy 20/20 Eye Cream – Another brand I haven’t tried, but I love eye creams so I’m happy to be receiving this as well.

Nomad Cosmetics Tuscany Eyeshadow Palette – (Add-On). Once again I love this brand and I’m building my eyeshadow palette collection. Will be a nice addition I hope.

Beau Gachis Concealer Brush – A concealer brush is one brush I don’t have but need.

One of the best bags I’ve received in a long time.

Laura

The 20/20 eye cream is incredible! I got it a few months ago, and grabbed it up as soon as I saw it in add ons ☺️ They have a great serum too, and are a feminist owned brand (which I love) I hope you enjoy it too!

In love with my bag this month! The design is adorable the contents exactly what I love and the addons were particularly good this time around. Most of the items I got were full size too.

Beau Gachis large shader brush (can’t get enough brushes! Full size.)

Feel 4D Hyaluronic Acid Under Eye Cream (eye creams always needed)

Item Beauty Overdew Xtra Intensive Moisturizer (another must)

Mini P/Y/T Beauty Upcycle Eyeshadow Palette (Super cute! Never got a quad before)

PIXI Beauty Shea Butter Lip Balm in Natural Rose (my choice no regrets. Full size.)

And the addons!

The Iceland Papaya + Peach Sheet Mask Duo (love sheet masks and the pictures on these I could not pass up lol Full size.)

Moroccan Magic Lip Balm in Coconut (balms in every room and bag. Full size.)

Tatcha The Water Cream (loved this last year. Believe it or not full mini size.)

Both Thrive Causemetics Lip Filler Long Wearing + Plumping Lip Liner in Ghizlan and Devin (one was a points redemption. Great brand and another full sized product)

My bag was just AWFUL this month. Truly the worst bag I’ve ever had. If I wasn’t getting GBX in May, I would cancel. Seeing how many amazing items there were just makes me even madder.

I’m getting:

SUGAR COSMETICS Lip Crayon in Honey Rider: My pick, and the only thing I’m happy about.

FIRST AID BEAUTY Facial Radiance Pads: I don’t like these, and I have exfoliants marked as “send rarely.”

ORYZA Nude Shimmer & Contour Eyeshadow: I bought this previously as an add-on.

VERIPHY SKINCARE 20/20 Eye Cream: I have eye creams marked “rarely.”

GOLDFADEN MD Hands to Heart hand cream: I have hand creams marked “rarely.”

So…three items that I’ve asked to receive rarely, and a repeat. Utter bust. I’m so disappointed.

Elisabeth A Berlowitz

Not a good month for me. I really should have skipped but I got sucked in with Tatcha.

Tatcha water cream (My choice-love it for my combo skin)

Kokie Sponge- Not Thrilled but guess I will try it.

ORYZA in Golden Hour- I own this already from a previous add on. I wish I got the other mini pallete from ORYZA or on of the single highlighters from Wander Beauty or Saint Luxe.

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads- Have used them before and bought them before multiple times in the Addon sales. I’m not that excited to receive this either but it will get used at least.

Marc Anthony Leave In- They always seem to throw this brand in my bag every month. It will get used but I would like something a little more out of the box.

My bag seems like a round up drug store samples (except tatcha of course). I canceled all my beauty subscriptions except this one and this may have to go as well. Nothing is new in my bag anymore. I want newer releases, and some fun makeup. There is a point were its not becoming fun receiving the same items. It would be fine if they were back ups of things I enjoyed like my favorite mascara, lipgloss, or even concealer. But unfortunately it’s not like that at all. I think when Ipsy took over Boxycharm things started to decline for both sides.

Jennifer

A bit of a meh bag for me:

Beau Gachis shader brush – at least it’s not another fluffy eyeshadow brush that IPSY has sent ten million of, but I don’t really need it

FEEL 4D hyaluronic acid under eye cream – 5ml, OK with this, as eye cream samples last a while so I should be able to see if it works or not.

ITEM beauty Overdew intensive mousturizer mini – It’s only 15ml, so it isn’t going to last very long, though I appreciate it’s an “intense” moisturiszer for dry skin.

PYT Eyeshadow palette – I recall not really liking the last P/Y/T palette I tried. This one does have a pretty gold and a pinkish shade, so if they work it might be OK. No colors I don’t have, though.

PIXI lip balm in natural rose – My choice item, and my favorite of my items this month. I wasn’t sure they’d have this in add-ons while I was fairly sure they’d put the Nomad items in add-ons (which they did)

I’ll probably grab the Nomad highlighter in add-ons as well. I love the eyeshadow shade, too, I just have so many eyeshadows and some similar pink shades. (If I didn’t have so many palettes, I’d be tempted to grab the Tuscany one since I love the Nomad Berlin palette.)

I’m so happy, I got a great bag despite totally forgetting about choice day so this was ALL Ipsy’s doing.

FEEL HA Eye Cream
Hey Honey Moisturizer
Kokie Sponge
Milk Kush Mascara
Sunday Riley a+ Retinoid cream

Great stuff, mainly skincare which is what I dig!

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

My bag was a dud again. I need to just cancel my GB and keep my Plus. Anyway, I got:

—TATCHA Water Cream (my choice)
—BARE MINERALS Concealer (meh, not a fan of BM)
—GLOW ON 5TH Hand and Body Scrub (fine, will get used)
—MY SKINNY MASK Tumeric and Vitamin C Mask (meh)
—NOMAD Eyeshadow single in Aperitivo (meh)

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

Just wondering if you get fewer repeats and “meh” items with Plus, because I was thinking of switching to that instead. If you have time, can you tell me what you like about Plus? Thanks.

Reply ButtonReply

Jules

My bag…
-ECO LIPS Protect Lip Balm in Vanilla Lavender
-HEY HONEY Boost It Up! Honey Rich Moisturizer
-MILK MAKEUP KUSH High Volume Mascara Mini
-PACIFICA BEAUTY Wild Hemp Eye Shadows in Quartz, Dusty, Smokey Quartz, Tiger, Crystal Flower
-SUNDAY RILEY A+ High-Dose Retinoid Serum (my pick)

I’m happy since I’ll actually use everything. This is my first Ipsy bag in over a year and I gotta say I missed it!

alison

Not really impressed. Yes, I like lip balms, but I received 2 last month. Got another one in this bag. On my profile I said I rarely (really never) use mascara, and I got mascara. Will be getting an eye cream (fine with me but it will have to wait until my current stash is used up). The eye shadow seems fine (I like neutrals) but after seeing the May choice picks, I think it’s time to take a break for a few months.

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

– BEAU GÂCHIS concealer perfecting brush (give me a concealer first please?)
– COCOKIND texture smoothing cream (it’s okay)
– HEY HONEY trick and treat lip balm watermelon balm (I love it!)
– ITEM BEAUTY Fast pass AHA Gel cleanser mini (it’s okay)

Reply ButtonReply

sara

Well, some months are good and some are…not so much. Although I have my profile listed as dry and red (easily irritated) skin, I got a mud mask that is ‘great for oily skin.’ Ugh. And I received yet another makeup brush that I won’t use. Thank goodness for the choice option of the Tatcha water cream!

I would have enjoyed other products much more overall. But for this price, it is what it is : )

Reply ButtonReply

MJ

Just FYI that Tatcha water cream is also for oily skin. It contains dimethicone (silicone) which dries out your skin over time with continued everyday use. It coats your face and gives the illusion of moisture but offers no real moisture or benefit to your skin.

Reply ButtonReply

Nkki

Hate my bag this month. I have dry skin and they give me an oil control mud mask. Marked rarely on eyeshadow, they give me a neutral duo. 🤦‍♀️

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

This is my first bag in like 6 months lol. I’m happy with it!

-Feel eye cream (sounds good)
-Hey Honey Ultra Rich Moisturizer (this might be too thick, but I can use it at night)
-Kokie Full Face Sponge (useful)
-Milk Mascara (I wanted to try this)
-Sunday Riley A+ (my choice, love this stuff!)

I would have liked a more colorful makeup pick, and I am considering adding on that Lottie London blush and/or the Nomad highlighter, but I think I am going to wait until the sales to see if they have any small bundles.

Reply ButtonReply

Leslie

I’m getting the same. I’m happy with this months!

Reply ButtonReply

MJ

Ugh my bag was a total dud this month! There were so many great choices too. I’m getting:

Beau Gachis concealer perfecting brush (I don’t use concealer)

Belle en Argent nail polish in picturing cicily (yuck- looks like a color I wore in High School)

Glow on Fifth hand and body scrub (just no)

Tatcha water cream (for oily skin which I don’t have and dislike Tatcha in general)

Ren Radiance mask (my choice)

Oh well. At least I got some add ons that I’m excited about. Those Thrive lip liners are great and a steal at $3 and I can always use more First Aid Beauty radiance pads

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

Actually, I have dry skin and I love the Tatcha water cream – for me, it’s an awesome lighter weight moisturizer for the summer, so if you can get past your general dislike of Tatcha, I highly recommend that you try it.

Reply ButtonReply

MJ

I have found that products containing dimethicone like the Tatcha cream are best for oily skin because they tend to dry out your skin the more you use them. Dimethicone is actually silicone. It gives you the illusion of smoother skin by coating your face and filling in your pores like a mask. It offers no benefit to your skin whatsoever other than covering it up. I prefer a moisturizer that actually gives me moisture and not just the illusion of moisture.

Marion

Weird bag for me. Don’t hate it, don’t love it.
– Pixi tinted lip balm (choice)
– Beau Gachis concealer brush (meh)
– Kosette Salt scrub (usually use sugar scrubs… this charcoal stuff looks messy. I know this has been in bags before, anyone have any thoughts?)
– p/y/t eye quad (whyyyyyyy 😭 Ipsy keeps hitting me with these awful warm neutral mini palettes even though I give them 1 star every time… Oryza, Illuminati, p/y/t…. they haven’t missed me with one yet!)
– item beauty overdew moisturizer (yuck. well, this may be one item beauty thing I actually use. can go on my feet, I guess.)

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

On the Kosette Salt Scrub. I just got the same item in January and now in April again. The January one called it a scalp scrub, but it’s the same stuff. And I found the scalp scrub very irritating on the skin. One of my issues with Ipsy is that they don’t seem to read your profile and requests, and they also send too many brushes as filler. This month’s box is still lost in Illinois.

Reply ButtonReply

Marlo

Got almost the same bag but instead of the Kosette salt scrub I got a Feel eye cream and the Beau Gachis brush was a shader. I tried the Kosette scalp scrub a couple months ago and absolutely loved it. I didn’t find it overly messy.

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

Thanks for the input about the scrub!

Jennifer

Almost twins. I also chose the pixi tinted balm, and my bag was the same as yours except I got the Feel eye cream rather than the salt scrub. Overall the bag is “meh” for me, other than my pick.

Reply ButtonReply

Daja

I don’t know if this will help but if you’re constantly getting neutral palettes you should try updating you’re profile and unselect the nudes for eyeshadow. It help me when I kept getting massacres.

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

I’ve never had neutrals selected. 😭

Tiffany Nicole

I’m actually pretty happy with my bag this month and even more happy with the add ons.

My bag:

REN Glycolic Lactic Mask (my choice)- I love REN and haven’t tried this mask yet. It sounds amazing

ABH Eye Primer- i actually love this primer but 2ml is ridiculous even for a sample size. I expect to get like 2 uses out of this

Hey Honey Trick or Treat Watermelon Tinted Lip Balm- i love Hey Honey and I love tinted lip balm so this is a huge win for me.

Goldfaden MD Wake Up Call Overnight Mask- i already have this from my other Ipsy account and love it so im excited to get more. The ingredients are fantastic and its really effective

Nomad Highlighter in Balmoral Beach- i love Nomads eyeshadow formula so im excited to try out the highlighter formula. The shade looks gorgeous, I’m obsessed with pink highlighters

Add Ons:

Vitabrid C12 Vitamin C Dual Drop Serum – I got this from Allure last year and it was the best vitamin c serum I’ve ever tried. I never wanted to pay full price for it though so getting it for $12 was something I couldn’t pass up.

Cocokind Texture Smoothing Cream- i got the Resurfacing Sleep Mask last month and im obsessed with it. Ive been wanting to try this cream ever since so im excited to get the chance to try it for $3

Thrive Lip Liner/Filler in Devin- this black cherry shade is right up my alley and Thrive makes some fantastic products. Plus getting it full size for $3 was amazing

Kopari Mini Sudsy Shower Oil- i love Kopari and this is 2oz for $3 which is a great deal for me. I love body wash and body oils so im excited to try this

Oryza Golden Hour Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette- this is really pretty so I figured for $3 I’d give it a try. Im just hoping that this one doesn’t show up shattered like the last Oryza palette I got from Ipsy did. Fingers crossed

Chalsey

Bag twins! This is an amazing bag. Eye primer takes me forever go through and I’m always searching for brands that work for me. I also added on the Kopari shower oil. Never tried one of those before!
