Glossier Cleanser Concentrate

Glossier has added a brand new product to its lineup: A cleanser concentrate that's powered by plants.

This highly concentrated cleanser is made with naturally derived plant extracts, fruit juice extract, and fruit ferment and was created to exfoliate, clarify, and re-energize skin in 60 seconds — leaving you glowing and feeling refreshed.

Here's how it works: According to Glossier, the cleanser concentrate is made with an "A-team of gentle exfoliators (Grape Ferment, Grape Extract, Lactic Acid, and Malic Acid) wash away dull skin (for a nice, smooth glow!) while Niacinamide visibly refines pores."

In addition, the minds at Glossier opted for "soft, frothy Amino Acid Surfactants as a plant-derived alternative to sulfates. They create an undetectable film that holds on to the formula’s key ingredients so they can work on the skin instead of just rinsing down the drain."

They also note that "soothing Chamomile Flower Water, Calendula Extract, and antioxidant-packed Passionfruit Extract help maintain your skin’s delicate balance of moisture."

This concentrated formula also goes a long way — so you only need a little to fully cleanse your visage.

Interested in adding it to your pre-existing skincare routine? Try the Incredibly Satisfying Clean Set ($40), which is designed to visibly improve texture, minimize the look of pores and make skin feel clean.

It includes the Cleanser Concentrate and Super Pure: a waterweight 5% Niacinamide + Zinc serum that visibly improves texture and (with daily use) balances the complexion in around four weeks.

I’m really not impressed with Glossier naming their basic cleanser a “cleanser concentrate” when Deviant Skincare has been making their cleansing concentrate for years. There’s no way Glossier didn’t know about that, they just figured it wouldn’t matter because Deviant is a smaller brand.

I don’t understand why it bothers some people if MSA decides to post this. I agree this might not be a subscription box, but I’d rather have MSA make money through sponsorships/ads like these than having to advertise and have google ads all over their page.

They need to make money too, it’s not just a hobby.

I think we’re all cognizant of the need to make money through deals, but when you couch the ad in the guise of a sub review/article, then we start getting into the sketchy world of “sponcon”. And if it’s not labeled as advertisement, it’s confusing for readers and ethically questionable.

I do miss Liz’s reviews, but I think many of the newer reviewers are just as good. So I’m hoping the trend reverts soon, or sponsored content is more clearly labeled in the future.

If there was a separate tab page only for reviews and one only for product reviews it would bother me less.

Maybe because I ve been visiting this site for many years and have come to this site only for reviews it bothers me more

I check the site every day more out of habit then anything else.

I don’t know why it bothers me so….maybe because I like to check the site all day and hate being disappointed with this “why do I care stuff”!! Put ads on the site like the others do t make it a post to trick us!

Because * my subscription addiction * was based on being addicted to mystery boxes and getting surprises in the mail. Nor product sales. If it was a product review site not * subscription * then I would expect to see sales on products and company coupon codes.

I ve been coming to this site for many years! I still remember when Liz had a quarterly site. How at one time there was a forum that did not last long.

My expectations are different verses someone who just discovered this site

I used to sub to 16! Subscription and only clicked on links from this website because I know money has to be made.

I could careless if there is a link to a product in a sub box that’s appropriate, yet when there is advertising posts to non sub box items or sales for non sub box items thats when the site is changing to something other then*my subscription addiction * perhaps there could be a separate site for these types of advertisements and sales. Because it is not relevant to * subscriptions *

Another poster mentioned reddit. I ve browzed boxes on reddit and does seem like I need to start going on that site for subscription box spoilers and subscription box reviews

Liz … if you are reading this. I miss you and miss your reviews! Hope you are doing well

I agree, this is kind of odd.

Is this a spoiler for a future box?

I only go on msa for spoilers, box reviews and box item swaps.

I m hoping msa is not changing and adding more of these types of advertising. Not the reason why I go on msa

It would be great if msa added a forum or even a chat pop up registered people could go on to chat about boxes and spoilers

Sadly, this isn’t the first ad they have posted. It does seem to be changing. I’m over the pop ups to sign up for the mail list, every time I come to the page for the day, too! Its about time to look for another site to get all sub only news.

The other comparable subscription website (that I personally frequent) does the exact same thing.

It doesn’t bother me one way or the other I am just glad there’s a website I enjoy visiting every day.

Cindy

Agreed. I still wander here occasionally but spend much more time on Reddit.

Jenn R

I would agree. I’ve seen a lot more straight-up advertising articles – if that’s the case, I will probably stop visiting this site eventually. Please keep on doing your great articles, spoilers, and reviews, MSA!
