Now why on earth would Allure put out their first spoiler for a new month as something as teeny tiny as 7ml? If they are trying to discourage people from getting their box…this is a great start.

Bc 15 ml of the stuff is $85.

I was reading an interview with the founder and according to him, the only way to get the full benefit of the cream is to use it

And

Nothing

Else

Because it gives your skin a chance to “re-set” to its natural state before it got confused with all the products we use.

This guy is an actual scientist with a degree from a good school, but that sounds like the kind of woo you’d get on Goop.

Mountaineer95

Lol, at this 7ml size, we can probably use this exclusively for what, two days?

I used to get so excited about the Allure box but so far this year I’ve gotten 1 box and skipped the rest. Pretty big let down considering I signed up for the year. At the rate I’m skipping, I’ll probably have enough box “credit” for 2022. 🙁

Loretta

Thank you Allure for this Spoiler..
So excited to try this..

So am I Loretta.. I remember all the excitement when it was in one of the Barney’s GWP bags. Allure let me pause for six months and May is my first month back. What a welcome back brand! This should last me 2-3 weeks.

Snow

Oh my goodness did that spoiler picture change again?

Reply ButtonReply

Chris

My favorite brand! I LOVE Augustinus Bader! I think his products are the best out there

Reply ButtonReply

Carol

Something called ‘The Rich Cream’ wouldn’t do well on my face lol. This would have been nice in the winter I bet.

Reply ButtonReply

Lana

It’s a hand cream

Reply ButtonReply

Lana

Sorry, the spoiler this morning was a hand cream, now I see it’s changed to a face cream… The hand cream seemed way nicer than this tiny sample 🙁

Joy

I am currently using this cream from an advent calendar I got. It’s nice, nothing earth-shattering. For 7 mL, it’s not enough for me to want May’s box yet. Weird that they would lead May spoilers with a sample.

Allure seems to consider “Travel Size” as a full size item at times since it’s more than a teeny tiny sample size, and since you can’t buy samples but can buy travel sizes in stores it appears, so I’m concerned this might actually be one of the bigger items (which might be why they led with it)

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Yikes…you may be right. I’m unfamiliar with the product but it is less than a quarter of an ounce at 7ml. Is that travel size for this? Seems small. I’ve skipped the last 2 months. I decided if I wasn’t excited to try the main full sized product that I should skip.

Jamie

I have tried this before and I was not impressed at all. It feels and looks like a thick sunscreen that is hard to rub in entirely. Strangely, as thick as it is, it didn’t even moisturize my skin. It felt like it just sat on my skin but never absorbed. I’m sure there is someone out there that this works for, but it definitely was not me.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

Sometimes the thick creams like that work well as night creams to lock on all the goodness of the other serums and oils one layered on, so there’s that.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

7 ml? For a hand cream nonetheless. I don’t care how good it is or what a great discovery it may be, this is something I would never pay full price for so if I’m going to get it in a box, it’s a special treat. 7ml isn’t exactly much of a treat. If this were more around 20-25ml I wouldn’t complain, but this is a $23 box that was arguably better when it was $15. I expect more. It’s just time for me to cancel. I got repeats last month and the only thing I was interested in this month is the Akar. I’m giving away or throwing away more than I keep these days. Disappointed, I used to love this box. There was a time I never would have given it up.

Reply ButtonReply

Sue

Agreed, it’s not even really enough to try it more than once, maybe twice, to see how you like it!

Reply ButtonReply

Kellie

I am happy to see that they are allowing us to try out expensive brands like this. I am excited to try this.

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

Hmm. I have definitely been wanting to try an Augustinus Bader product, but 7ml is pretty tiny. I would have liked to see a larger size. Nice to see Allure offering actual lust-worthy brands, though!

Reply ButtonReply

Heather Le

Please disregard my last comment. I just realized the box I got today is the March box.

Reply ButtonReply

Leslie

I signed up when it said I would get the March box on March 24th. Does anyone know how long it will take them to ship it? I still haven’t got a shipping confirmation.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather Le

I don’t trust the spoiler now. I just received the April box that I signed up for to get the eye serum but I didn’t get the eye serum. Instead I got 111Skin Vitamin C serum, which I already have and don’t use. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Meredith Thetford

You got the March box if you got the box today. They haven’t shipped the April box with the Akar eye serum yet.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

Ha, I’d never heard of this brand before last week. I’m getting a Vox Box with this rich cream – apparently they’ve been in Birchbox before. They’re pricey, so I’m hoping it’s good

Reply ButtonReply

Sherry

How did u get a voxbox and was it easy??thank you!

Reply ButtonReply

Liz

You sign up for influenster, fill out as many “snaps” as you can (they’re like mini product reviews), review some things on your influenster, and they randomly send out qualification surveys. Fill it out and see if they match you with anything. I get them sent every month and a half or so. Sometimes I don’t get chosen right away and they send more surveys. I ended up getting three influenster boxes this month but before that it had been two and a half months since I got anything 🤷🏻‍♀️. Just make sure you are prompt with filling out the influenster qualification surveys and you’ll eventually get chosen.

Good luck!

Irina

7 ml… Lol

Reply ButtonReply

Coco1

Agree. Ridiculously small sample. And if I liked it, there’s NO WAY I would buy even the 15 ml size for $85. 30 ml is $170, and 50 ml is $265. Give me a break.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather H.

So based on that, this tiny little 7ml tube would be worth about $40…eesh.

Naomi

Unless there are some seriously good other items, this makes me want to skip. Tried the Rich Cream last year and developed an extremely painful rash over my entire face. It took weeks to heal my skin, so I’m avoiding anything Augustinus Bader from now on. I definitely recommend a patch test before slathering on!

Reply ButtonReply

EmmaLo

Thanks for the warning, that sounds like an awful experience. I’ll definitely do a patch test for this cream.

Reply ButtonReply

Naomi

No problem! I know I’m likely in a rare minority who had such bad issues but I like to give a warning just in case!

Suzanne

I’m confused. Where does it say hand cream? It looks to me like this is a sample size of the brand’s amazing face moisturizer. Love it and save it for special pampering days.

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

The photo was charged. They had hand cream before

Reply ButtonReply

Shell

I also see it being a face cream confused

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

I feel neutral about this spoiler, but I’d be curious to do a test: one lucky hand will get this, the other one the $5 hand lotion from Trader Joe’s, just to see the difference, if any.

Reply ButtonReply

Allie

Now I wanna try Trader Joe’s lotion. 😆 As I just bought Korres lavender body butter from Causebox market.

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

Heheh! If you happen to be at TJ’s, I think it’s worth to try it out. In my experience, it outperformed some more expensive hand creams. And if you like scented ones, they do carry hand creams with seasonal fragrances. currently they have one with rose oil (I got it last month, I think it should still be available). It sounds like an ad, so to counterbalance I’ll add that I dislike Tj’s “head to toe balm” 😛

Flora

I love the $5 ultra hand cream from Trader Joe’s!

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

Me too! 🙂

Joan

I’m really excited about this spoiler and haven’t felt that way about much from Allure in awhile. I’ve seen this brand in high end European Advent calendars but have never tried it as it is so expensive. Fingers crossed the rest of May spoilers will be this great!

Reply ButtonReply

LC

The title is right but the photo seen here is incorrect, it is definitely the Rich Cream moisturizer in the 7ml travel size (even that size is apparently a $30 value). You can tell from the teaser video on allure’s site and the correct photos shared on other spoiler sites.

Reply ButtonReply

Simran @MSA

Thanks for letting us know! We are updating it shortly.

Reply ButtonReply

Joan

Really? I was so excited to see the 50 ml photo. That’s really misleading.

Reply ButtonReply

Simran @MSA

So sorry about that! We just corrected the photo.

KG

Wow! This is exciting!! I, too, have been a little disappointed by the past few Allure boxes. But Agustinus bader?? Even though it’s not the holy grail face moisturizer all the influencers rave about, I have to say, I’m very excited to try the hand cream! Now I’ll get to see what some of the hype is about… or not. Very excited to try a more established brand. I feel like the let downs from the previous boxes has been lack of exciting brands. This spoiler is definitely what I’ve missed about the Allure box!

Reply ButtonReply

Shortcake

oof…big hand cream photo/listing was a mistake. It’s a tiny little travel size of the face cream.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

Another winner for me! Great brand.

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

I’ve heard of this brand. Never used it. Not a bad spoiler over all. I try to take care of my hands and always have some kind of lotion on my desk. Looking forward to trying this one depending on other spoilers of course. If there is a self tanner or highlighter it makes me automatically skip.

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

I think it makes me want to skip already. I’ve been trying not to skip just to get my annual over and be done with them. I’m extremely upset that they asked me to lock in the price for a year, only to put off raising the price for months. I would not have chosen to purchase any box individually since last July.
