  1. I had a poor experience with their customer service as well – I chose my January pack during the selection window but they sent me the pack I did not choose. When I contacted them, they insisted I never made a selection. There was no wiggle room whatsoever, I had to accept what they gave me, the end. March will be the last shipment of my 3-month sub and I’ve already canceled and am glad to be rid of them.

  2. I agree, this company has atrocious customer service. I also had a very negative experience and since then read many complaints from others regarding their practices. Even though I often like their offerings, their bad practices keep me from subbing. smh.

  3. I too signed up on January 29th to get and pick February’s bracelets… They let me pick which set I wanted. If I had known that wouldn’t get them, I would have waited to sign up. Or just made another account just to get February’s, but it’s too late now. I’ve never subscribed to them before, so I wasn’t sure when things would ship.

  4. These are cute, but I can’t imagine what I’d do with a year’s worth of string bracelets…

  5. FYI, if you buy a sub longer than a month, you cannot skip a month. Also, if you sign up late in the month, you won’t get the following month’s bracelets. Their subscription page is incredibly misleading as it makes it sound like you can skip anytime and that when you sign up, you’ll get the current style and then the next month’s pack will ship on the 7th. I signed up on January 29th (for a three month sub since it was $33) specifically to be able to pick my February bracelets. I received January’s pack as expected, but did not receive February’s. When I contacted them, they said it was skipped because I signed up late in January and by that point they were out. When I said I signed up specifically to get February’s and asked to return January’s and get a refund, they refused and just quoted their terms to me (which aren’t actually on the page where you sub, by the way). I asked to be escalated to a manager, but no response. I’ve purchased the monthly subscriptions before and spent hundreds in their shop, but now I’m done with them.

    • I signed up on 1/31 and received January instead of February. On the Subscriptions tab, I was also immediately able to make my selection from February’s choices, not January’s. Thanks for posting this. After getting January, I assumed I’d receive January, February and March for my 3 month sub.

    • SAME ISSUE!! I signed up December 28 BECAUSE I REALLY WANTED THE JANUARY (from the spoiler) -They sent me December, nothing in January, then sent February and when I contacted them they said it is their “policy” if you sign up late in month, you get that month’s & then they “skip” the next month (I forget what the “reason” was, but it made NO sense – they would not let me swap out either. Annoying. Of the 3 months I subscribed for, I only liked/wanted the one they leapfrogged over.

    • While I’m sad that others have had issues, it’s nice to know I’m not alone. I filed a claim with my bank for $22 ($33 less January’s pack) and they decided in my favor. I emailed Pura Vida indicating this and plan to write “Return to sender” on March’s package when it arrives. I’ll do the same for April if they don’t just cancel it in their system.
