Panda Pals April 2021 Review

Socktivity

Every month Panda Pals sends us a “Socktivity” along with an item that pertains to the month’s theme. This month the theme was “Horses” so we received an educational sheet with some horse trivia, a bit of Italian — ciao, and a color-by-number activity. Also included was a mini “wild west” puzzle, that Charlie couldn’t wait to build.

Charlie was deep in concentration while building his puzzle, and Hank was all about the trivia facts. Didn’t that puzzle turn out cute?

Spaghetti and Meatball Socks

Interestingly enough, the first pair of socks I pulled from this month’s package had absolutely nothing to do with our horse theme. Instead, these royal blue and bright red socks were covered in plates of spaghetti and meatballs! Charlie got a kick out of these and couldn’t wait to wear them to school, as his favorite meal is spaghetti and meatballs, but with the meat on the side. These socks were a little more stretchy than usual and didn’t feature the usual logos. Fitting a variety of sizes, these socks fit both Hank and Charlie.

Horse Socks

And here are our themed socks! Fitting perfectly with the horse theme, we received these bright purple socks with a large horse head on the back of the ankle, and horse silhouettes on the tops and bottoms of the feet. While purple is a perfectly fine color, my son wished these would have been blue or red to match more of his t-shirt colors. Also stretchy and soft like the previous pair, these too did not feature the usual logos. Because my boys just weren’t fans of the purple and pink color scheme, we passed them on to my horse-loving niece.

Verdict: Panda Pals was an interesting one this month. Usually, both pairs of socks are fitted to the month’s theme, but this time that was not the case. Hank and Charlie both loved the spaghetti and meatball socks but just didn’t love the color scheme of the horse socks. While we didn’t end up keeping them for ourselves, we were able to pass them on and make one little girl’s day! Like I say over and over again, the quality, patterns, and special inclusions keep us coming back for more socks. We can’t wait to see what next month’s theme brings.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Each package is customized by size and gender, so yours might look different! If you order today, your socks will be sent via USPS within 3-5 days of account activation and will be sent around the same time each month.

While I am taking a time-out from being a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, I am currently staying at home with my 2 sweet boys! My first subscription was Julep thanks to happening upon the MSA website, and it all went downhill from there! I have subscribed to Ipsy, Boxycharm, Degustabox, Julep, Graze, Bluum, Walmart, and more because I love a good surprise! I truly am a subscription addict!
