This month's theme is "Loving Kindness." Let's unpack this box!

Grace & Stella Dr. Pedicure Foot Peeling Mask - Retail Value $20.00

I have received this foot peeling mask a few times in various boxes this past year. I tried it once and honestly found the whole process to be rather uncomfortable. This peel is heavy-duty, it works to completely remove (aka shed) dead and callused skin from your feet. Your feet can exfoliate for 6 to 10 days, and they recommend soaking your feet at least once a day after you used this peel. The mask is made with glycolic acid to boost collagen and shed all of that dead skin cell build-up over time. The instructions are pretty detailed so I would thoroughly read everything before using, but you want to start by soaking your feet for 10 minutes, place the booties on your feet for one hour, remove and wash your feet with soap and water. They also recommend not moisturizing your feet after using to allow the peel to do its work. I was in a lot of discomfort the first time I used this just with how raw and flaky my feet felt so I can't decide if I am going to give this a go one more time or not. What are your experiences with this foot peeling mask?

Bonus Item: Good To Go Savory Nut & Seed Bites, 12 g

This must be a bonus item this month because it is not listed in the booklet. It was delicious though! I have been on a bit of a protein bite kick, making my own at home to have ready for healthy yet satisfying snacks for my whole family. These were a new take on the ones I have tried so far, but I really loved them! These bites are almond and sea salt so they packed a big crunch and a ton of flavor. They were on the smaller side but still filling. I could see them working well with yogurt for a full snack.

Satya Oat Bath with Calendula, 250 ml - Estimated Value $9.99 (buy a pack of 2 for $19.99)

I was on a bath kick for a while, and then I tried a blend that had a similar texture to this one and totally clogged my bath drain... it was a bit of a mess. So now I am afraid to use anything other than a bath bomb. I was, however, happy to see that they mention in the instructions for this to strain out the calendula petals from the bath before draining it. This blend really is beautiful and focuses on soothing dry and sensitive skin. They even recommend using it for sunburns! This is made with colloidal oatmeal and calendula petals so it has this really delicious floral scent that just smells so natural. It was both soothing and relaxing and left my skin feeling much softer!

Way of Will Strengthening Nail & Cuticle Serum, 10 mL - Retail Value $24.00

This serum could not have come at a better time for me! The skin around my nails is in bad shape with pretty deep painful cuts. I am constantly washing my hands throughout the day or just dealing with water a lot (my daughter loves water play), so my hands are really never looking nice anymore. I was happy to see that this serum can be used on your nails, cuticles, and hands. What really stood out to me was that this is made with Meadowfoam oil and vitamin E which work specifically to soften the skin around nails and helps to prevent inflammation. Yes, please! It is also made with an essential oil blend of Lavender, Geranium, and Ylang-Ylang so it smells amazing. I have been using this in the morning and at night and am starting to see improvement in the overall texture of my skin. Hopefully, after using it for a bit longer they will improve even more!

Sweetsmith Candy Co. Sugar-Free (Keto) Sea Salt Chocolate Toffee, 1.76 oz. - Retail Value $4.76 USD

Three people in my house fought hard over this little treat (me, my husband, and my son)! I am normally not a toffee fan, but mixed with the caramel, boy was this delicious. It was crunchy and oh so sweet with that little sprinkle of sea salt that works so well with the dark chocolate. It is also made with a natural sugar-free alternative called Isomalt which was really interesting to read about. Such a delicious surprise this month and I was happy to share it with my crew!

Cèla Crème Rose, 120 mL - Retail Value $31.00

This bottle just looks and feels so chic! I have it sitting on the window seal near my kitchen sink and it just makes me feel important having it there, plus it is so pretty to look at while washing dishes. This moisturizer is very thick and creamy, which I totally appreciate! It doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy, just solid hydration that my skin is drinking right up. It is made with cupuaçu butter, Abyssinian oil, with the scent of sweet jasmine, peach, and rosewater. It is floral without being overpowering and is making me think of spring and fresh air. I always appreciate anything that will moisturize my skin, but I can say that not only is this a beautiful creme it actually works as well!

Loving Kindness Workbook - Estimated Retail Value $10.00

This month features a Loving Kindness Workbook. It is meant to help you reduce your self-critical thoughts, and reset your mindset to confidently create the life you want. The focus is totally on self-love and self-worth because so many of us ignore that part of caring for ourselves. The workbook starts by detailing three elements of self-compassion: Mindfulness (neither ignoring or exaggerating feelings of failure), Self-kindness (understanding, not punishment), and Sense of Common Humanity (everybody goes through this). It moves on to teach you how to challenge your own inner critic which in turn takes away the fear and anxiety that comes with self-criticism. There are tips on how to do this and ways that you can build on challenging your own inner critic as well. There are areas to note times when you suffered and how you worked through it and a success log for your progress in overcoming self-criticism. The workbook ends with a really amazing Loving Kindness Meditation that is very moving.

Like so many people, I really struggle with that loving-kindness that they are focusing on this month. Working through this booklet really brought to my attention just how unrealistic I am with myself. Life is so challenging, but when we added a pandemic to that things became a lot harder. I genuinely appreciate these workbooks each month, but this one is really hitting home for me. I also thought a lot about my kids when I was reading through this workbook. My son seems to lack self-confidence already and he's only almost 5. I want to teach my kids how to love themselves, to know that failure is a part of life and growth, but that it is a piece to your journey, not what makes you so uniquely you. So this really was a reminder for me as a Mom on ways that I can talk to my kids about how they talk to their inner critic as well.

Verdict: This month's box was another winner for me! The only item that I didn't love was the foot peel mask, and that is only because I have tried it before and didn't love the process. I loved that this month came with a yummy toffee and caramel chocolate bar. I haven't been indulging my sweet tooth lately, but this was totally worth tasting. It was rich and creamy with that hint of sea salt that makes dark chocolate so divine. The creme is so lovely, from the packaging to the scent, it is also working wonders on my dry hands. Speaking of dry hands, I was floored to see the nail serum this month as well. Like I said, my hands are in bad shape, but this serum targets that area of skin around your nails to improve their texture and to help with inflammation. Yes! The oath bath was amazing, and it gave me an excuse to take some time for myself. For approximately $44.86 USD ($49.95 CAD plus $8.99 shipping), we received 5 lifestyle items plus the loving-kindness workbook for an estimated retail value of $99.75. This box keeps showing up each month and is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I can always count on quality curation, thoughtful workbooks and insight, and new brands for me to discover. This box really is a gem!

I can’t search for the other months or get them to come up even when I try Loti nothing comes up. Something’s wrong. The review link doesn’t work either.

That Cela is my favorite brand of lotion and hand cremes. They are SO good and smell so yummy. I have this one, the original and the creme de la creme light (smells like orangecicles YUMMMM). They are very moisturizing too

I used that foot mask for the first time around one month ago. I loved it! I sure did peel a lot but it wasn’t uncomfortable. Plus my feet are really soft now. I will say it didn’t take off larger calluses though.

I’m so glad it worked for you! I don’t know if maybe I just had a lot that came off but it was just such a dry and uncomfortable experience for me personally.

I really like that foot peel, it is the kind I usually buy (very affordable on Amazon and one of the more effective ones). I aim to use one about 6 times a year but in practice manage about 3-4.
