Keto Krate February 2021 Review
Can you believe we are already into February?! I am absolutely astonished at the fact that the longest year of eternity has actually flown by! I am about a month into my keto restart, and while I am following a more “dirty” keto plan, I have lost about 5 pounds, which I am very happy about. I was so excited to receive my Keto Krate box before Valentine’s Day, as it was packed with sweet treats to help me stay on track. Scroll down to check out what kind of items I received this month.
Each month we receive a brightly colored pamphlet that gives us a bit of a kick-start each month. While it doesn’t include information about the included items, we do get a sample start-up menu, recipes, coupon codes, and success stories. All of the information is very helpful in encouraging and motivating me to stick with this lifestyle. Per usual, we also received the links to the month’s product info in Krate Club, and tips on how to manage your subscription.
Simply Delish Chocolate Instant Pudding – Retail Value $2.99
Fat 0g | Net Carbs 5g | Taste Score: N/A
I love chocolate, so I cannot wait to try this instant pudding as it is sugar free, gluten free, and allergen free. The only reason I did not whip it up yet, is because I found a low carb pudding pie recipe I want to make for a Super Bowl dessert treat with my boys. I will keep you posted as to how that turns out!
Snackhouse Cheeseburger Puffs – Buy a 5.5 oz bag for $14.99
Fat 4.8g | Net Carbs 2g | Taste Score: 10/10
Through my experience with this subscription, I have tried my fair share of protein puffs, but these are definitely a top contender. When I think of cheeseburger flavor, I think of a beefy grilled flavor with cheese, ketchup, and pickles, and these puffs taste just like that. I was utterly amazed at how these little bites taste just like a burger. I generously let my kids and husband give these a try, and before I could blink the package was gone. Looks like I have to add these to the grocery list!
Choc Zero Valentine’s Roses – Retail Value $4.99
Fat 11g | Net Carbs 2g | Taste Score: 10/10
I have to say, this just might be one of the prettiest candy bars I have ever seen. Shaped like a rose, this raspberry infused dark chocolate bar is bitter, sweet and tart, all wrapped into one for an enormously delicious flavor. I enjoy dark chocolate, and did love this bar, but because I am a milk chocolate addict, I think I need to order their milk chocolate/raspberry/keto bar they offer on their website!! Or maybe I shouldn’t…
Better Than Good Cinnamon Roll Crunch Protein Breakfast Puffs – Retail Value $7.95
Fat 10g | Net Carbs 0g | Taste Score: 10/10
“Better Than Good” is one of my favorite brands. The family that launched this snack company did to offer better nutrition for their 4 year old son, while he was going through Leukemia. I have had other flavors of their protein puffs and my kids actually prefer them to chips. I was really excited to see this breakfast version, as cinnamon rolls are one of my pitfalls. It was so crazy how well they nailed this flavor. How does one make a blend of vegetables and protein isolate taste like a cinnamon roll is beyond me, but my kids and I can’t get enough of these bites of goodness. Send more please!
Front Porch Pecans “Sea Salt Pecans” – Buy a package of 4 for $24.99
Fat 22g | Net Carbs 1g | Taste Score: 10/10
There is literally nothing as delicious as a fresh pecan, and when they are tossed with sea salt, I am one happy camper. I can’t even describe how tasty these nuts are, but they literally taste like they were picked off of the tree the same day. Packed with fiber and antioxidants, these help curb your appetite, and are just so darn good. I was nice and I shared a few with my husband and kids, but I stowed the rest of them in my work lunch pail to enjoy myself.
Kiss My Keto “Keto Chocolate Pumpkin Seeds & Sea Salt Bar” – Buy a variety pack of 4 for $19.99
Fat 11g | Net Carbs 1g | Taste Score: 9/10
As some of you may know, we raise and sell pumpkins, so I am always intrigued with items containing pumpkin seeds or flavorings. Like I mentioned above, I prefer milk chocolate, but I do like dark chocolate, and paired with these salty seeds, it is a wonderful combination. This bar is fantastic on it’s own, but would be pretty dang tasty alongside a strawberry as well. I’m really glad the bar is so big so I can enjoy it in a variety of ways!
Moon Cheese “White Chedda Black Peppa” – Buy three 2.2oz bags for $11.79
Fat 14g | Net Carbs 2g | Taste Score: 10/10
This month’s box is killing it!! In past months, we have received cheese bites, and some of them have been very pungent and even overwhelming. These white cheddar and black pepper flavored ones are the perfect combination of all flavors. They are crunchy, tangy, and delicious on their own or in a salad. Their website shows an impressive arsenal of flavors, and I’m really hoping we will get to check those out in future boxes!
Shrewd Food “Milk Chocolate Keto Dippers” – Buy a package of 16 individual packages for $39.99
Fat 11g | Net Carbs 3g | Taste Score: 10/10
Hooray for milk chocolate! So these little dippers are gluten free, peanut free, soy free, non-GMO, and have no artificial flavors or preservatives, plus they are keto friendly and taste amazing. How is that even possible?! These little puffs have the creamy milk chocolatey flavor that I adore, yet give a substantial crunch when you bite into it. It slightly reminds me of a whopper and I am happy about that.
Super Coffee “Mocha” – Buy a 12 pack for $28.89
Fat 3g | Net Carbs 2g | Taste Score: N/A
In past reviews I had mentioned I had acquired a taste for coffee. After falling in love with the flavor I quickly discovered not only did the caffeine cause my anxiety to escalate, but that coffee in general just didn’t bode well with my missing gallbladder. This beautifully simplistic can is still chilling in the refrigerator for when my husband is in need of a pick me up. Has anyone else given this a try?
Good To Go “Vanilla Almond Bar” – Buy a pack of 9 for $23.94
Fat 13g | Net Carbs 4g | Taste Score: 10/10
Like I said above, I was happy to see such a sweet packed box, as Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. This vanilla almond bar was a nice change of pace with all of the chocolate, and I am a fan of the flavor and texture. Chewy, sweet, and just a little nutty, this bar left me wanting more.
FBOMB Salt and Pepper Pork Stick – Buy a pack of 12 for $24.99
Fat 10g | Net Carbs 1g | Taste Score: 10/10
Here is the moment we have all been waiting for….the meat stick! Like you probably know, my kids wait patiently to see what type of meat stick we receive in this box, and they weren’t disappointed when they opened this salt and pepper pork stick. Slightly spicy with a delicious meaty taste, we each had a generous bite. With no MSG, no nitrates, and no nitrites, this is a great keto snack, and I have already been asked when we can place an order.
Love Good Fats “Peanut Butter Chocolatey Bar” – Buy a pack of 12 for $27.99
Fat 14g | Net Carbs 5g | Taste Score: 10/10
Chocolate + peanut butter = the best combo ever. Packed with protein, this bar is crumbly and salty with the perfect amount of sweetness, and only 1 gram of sugar. I was pleasantly surprised to see the outer coating isn’t greasy, but smooth and dry, all in the best way. Plus it doesn’t contain any sugar alcohol’s! I will gladly keep a stash of these in my car console for snack attacks on the road!
Southern Recipe Small Batch “Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper Pork Rinds” – Buy a pack of 3 for $14.99
Fat 8g | Net Carbs 1g | Taste Score: 9/10
Instead of chips, I have been munching on pork rinds to keep me on track, and these small batch Southern Recipe salt and pepper ones are quite tasty. Not being too salty or too peppery they give off the perfect amount of flavor, while still tasting smoky and crisp. Our local BBQ joint serves fresh ones with different dipping sauces, and I can’t wait for the day we can go back and eat there, but for now these are perfect!
The Verdict: Keto Krate is always on the lookout for new and different flavors, and this month they hit it out of the park. Sticking to a keto lifestyle can be hard, but with the variety of foods they have recently come out with, it’s been a lot easier to stay the course. This month I found multiple flavors and brands that I will be re-purchasing, and just love the entire experience of opening this box with my family even though they are not following the keto diet. Keto snacks tend to be pretty spendy, so this subscription is the best way for me to discover which items I like before splurging on a large package of something I might not enjoy. I can’t wait to see what I discover next month!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Unfortunately, no. If you subscribe today, your first box will be the March box.
COUPON: Save 25% off your first Krate. No coupon needed - just use this link.
Value Breakdown: The box costs $39.99 + free shipping which means that each of the 13 items has an average cost of $3.07. I also want to share that on their website, it states the retail value of this month’s products is $49.61, but you would pay $59 in shipping costs for each product, plus you would have to spend $55.45 to get the discount code savings of minimum orders for each product, which would bring your total value to $164.06, so I think $39.99 is a pretty good price to test out different snacks and find new faves!
