mintMONGOOSE December 2020 Review

When you sign up there are a few customization options. You can choose your jewelry tone and whether to have earrings or no earrings included. I opted for Surprise Me! and said yes to earrings. One notable thing about the jewelry is that each piece comes with a lifetime warranty, too!

If ANYTHING, ever goes wrong with our pieces, we will replace them. Our pieces are designed to last for years with the proper care. We don’t short on quality, and as a result, we feel confident enough in our pieces to offer this lifetime warranty on our pieces – something you won’t find elsewhere.

The packaging was so cute with a wax seal on the envelope and some cute little tags on each wrapped piece of jewelry. The piece of candy was a nice little bonus!

There was also a thank you card enclosed.

What a stunning card! I really love this beautiful print. This subscription is a woman/mom-owned small business and each set has an inspiration behind it which they share on the back of this card.

Sparkling Geo Necklace

This first piece is my favorite from this month with the beautiful sparkling geometric shape in the center. The multi-faceted white edges remind me of snow, making it feel somewhat seasonal, which I love, although this necklace would make a statement any time of year. While I love this piece, I was slightly disappointed to receive silver pieces again this month (I've chosen the "surprise me" option for metals), mostly because I feel like this is a very similar style piece to last month's Pearl-Inspired Necklace; another interesting shape with a sparkly center. I think it would have felt like a completely different piece in another metal.

This necklace is longer, but it's also adjustable. Here I have it on a shorter setting and then the longest setting (swipe). At the shortest, it is about 26 inches and then it goes up to about 30.5 inches with 3 other settings in between.

Sparkling Geo Earrings

These earrings are a perfect combination of the two necklaces that I received this month. They are a thin flat silver circle with a mini version of that sparkling geometric shape in the center. I love how they placed the charm vertically instead of horizontally. These are larger circles, but the earrings are lightweight and were pretty comfortable to wear.

I love their simplicity, but that little bit of sparkle makes them stand out just enough!

Here you can see them with the necklace. They go well together, but aren't perfectly matched which is fun!

Silver Circle Necklace

Our last item this month is the simplest piece. This silver circle is flat and smooth just like the circle of our earrings and it hangs from a simple chain. It is shorter than the first necklace at 21 inches at its longest setting and just over 16 inches at its shortest, again with three different settings in between.

Here you can see short, medium, and long lengths.

Here you can see all of the pieces together in the first photo with the necklaces at some different lengths in the second photo.

The Verdict: This is only my second box, but so far I am really enjoying the nice mix of pieces that MintMOONGOOSE sends. I love how they have included one very simple piece that should please just about anyone along with some more exciting pieces. I thought this was a fun curation and I liked the way the earrings tied the two necklace styles together. I do wish that I had received a different colored metal, but this is just a personal opinion and I am hopeful that next month they switch it up a bit so I can get a better sense of this subscription overall! So far, this seems like a quality, affordable jewelry subscription and I'm looking forward to seeing what else they come up with!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the January box. Also, your box may vary from mine depending on your preferences! From MintMOONGOOSE:

Your welcome box will ship within 48 hours and your first renewal will take place 14 days after your initial purchase to ensure you receive the upcoming set, unless you purchase a 3, 6, or 12-month paid by term subscription. Renewals will continue on the date of the month that your first renewal takes place. You can change your renewal date at any time through your customer portal.

Value Breakdown: At $16.99 (with free shipping) and 3 pieces in this box, that gives each piece an average cost of about $5.66.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Honestly it’s awful jewelry. The only things I liked are the rings but the necklaces look cheap, and the t shirts are not cute whatsoever. Then they trap you in the 12 month program and won’t allow you to cancel. I wish I never heard of this awful company.

I am really happy to see this box being reviewed again. I subbed to it for almost a year and only stopped due to cutting back on subs. I am still happy with all of the pieces that I have and they have held up well…no changing colors of the metals or falling apart for no reason

That’s such useful information! Thank you for sharing, Ashley.C! 🙂

IIRC when I subbed to this, it was really easy to change the metal type.

I do really like this sub and it’s nice to see it reviewed again. They have great CS and their pieces are very cute. Similar to Bijoux Box – but at a more reasonable price point.

I think it is apples and oranges with Bijoux box. They are real gold and silver plating and gemstones.
Depends on what you are looking for.

That’s good to know! I’m going to see what happens next month and then try switching it up if I get another silver toned set! 🙂

Missymalay

Do you know what type of metals they use?

Brandi D.

Hi Missymalay, I reached out to CS and they said that they their silver, gold, or rose gold plated pieces are nickel-free. They seem to pride themselves on the quality working well for those with sensitive skin! Hope that helps! 🙂
