I always looked at this FREE site as a place that shows you all the boxes available…what’s in them & then the rest is up to us to research & so forth ….I think people are being a but too judgmental, & expecting a lot from MSA for free…it’s a lot of work to run a site, research everything & all the things we don’t see that they do…now a newsletter…come on people be grateful instead of feeling like you’re owed something….if you don’t trust your subscription box then that’s between you & the seller..period…just my 2 cents

  4. I’m a 35 year old of 4 teenage boys all ages 17, 16, 14 and 13 years old. it’s hard living with all boys and no girls are ever around so help me understand this better. i recently just got back in to taking care of my skin and having a skin and hair regiman.

  5. Hoping these will be more well-researched than MSA reviews. We’ve gotten a lot of “I didn’t know” replies from reviewers when readers have commented about MLM brands, or sketchy private labeled brants like those under the Dirty Little Secrets or Thompson Beauty Brands umbrellas.

    • Completely agree! I appreciate MSA reviews, but sometimes they are misdirecting or simply false in making claims about skincare ingredients or how to apply them. Would love to see some expert advice.
      I would also like to see some transparency about real market prices of box-products, especially when there is a mismatch between what the subscription company says something normally costs and what it normally costs (some brands NEVER sell their products at “normal” price and always have some discount on them). MSA reviewers very rarely comment on the issue of inflated prices whereas there is always a lot of discussion about it in the comments sections.
      Overall, I hope the GLOW team spends little bit more time on preparing and making research for their reviews and news etc. to make sure we, as customers, get the right information about product size (dunno how many times I was misled to believe a product will come in full size and it simply won’t), if the formula is updated or old (meaning whether we are being given the older version to empty the stocks), and about quality and durability.
      Unfortunately it seems to me that the MSA has no business holding companies accountable. It mostly does marketing/advertising on their behalf based on reviewers’ personal feelings about products/boxes. But if the Curateur offers a new introductory box with a skincare product which they failed to send to subscribers in the past, I think this should be made known to customers by the MSA. So outrageous it is that the Curateur is making money on a new box with the exact same Kat Burki serum which they yet to deliver to the members who already paid for it months ago as it was “out of stock” for a while. Currently, MSA is all bout BUY-BUY-BUY with little to no advocacy for consumer rights or criticism, and I personally am not happy with it.

  8. Sounds great! Other than an occasionally Ipsy here and there, I don’t even subscribe to anything anymore. I’m not interested in random stuff or clutter. I come here for the reviews and swatches to help inform purchases.

      • I really like the beauty and clothing reviews, so more of those. I would be interested in a review or comparison of those customized/personalized hair and skincare companies that have popped up. I’m especially interested in the custom hair dye, but I understand that’s a pretty big ask. Maybe a guest spot if someone already uses those?
