Ellie Women’s Fitness Clothing “Funfetti” January 2021 Review

At the beginning of each month, Ellie releases new collections. You can choose which one you want or skip that month if you don’t want any of them and you won’t be charged.

My invoice arrived inside of this shiny rose gold envelope.

Katie Tank by Ellie in Maize Yellow, Size L – Retail Value $48.00 (The white version is currently on sale for $16.99)

While I am not quite ready to be back in a tank top, I couldn’t resist this bright and colorful collection. Funfetti is such a fitting name! This set is actually Ellie’s own brand and I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as quality, but I was pleasantly surprised! The tank is soft and lightweight while the pants and bra seem very well made. I feel like this bright yellow top has an instant mood-enhancing effect on me and it pairs so nicely with the pants and bra. I really like the twist detail at the back, too, and the rounded hemline.

Classic Legging by Ellie in Wild Ditsy Floral, Size L

This pattern is so fun! It’s bright, it’s colorful, and it’s definitely unique. The pants are super soft and have a lot of stretch to them, but I will say that these pants fit a bit tighter than other brands I have received. They were more difficult to get over my hips and did cut into my waist a bit when seated. While they were a bit tighter, they are definitely still wearable, just not as flattering and comfortable as others by comparison. Especially since my hips and thighs stretched out the pattern a bit.

Lynn Sports Bra by Ellie in Wild Ditsy Floral, Size L

This sports bra comes in the same fun pattern as our leggings and it has a really cool criss-cross ladder detail on the back that peeks through the tank top perfectly. It has a nice thick band around the bottom which is great for support and it has removable inserts for some extra cushioning at the front. This bra, much like the pants, fits a bit tighter than most. It definitely squished everything together and up quite a bit and was tight at my shoulders. I honestly would probably size up in this bra for a more comfortable fit. Since I am trying to work off some of my 2020 weight gain, I think this will just sit in my drawer as a goal bra for now. I tend to lose weight at the top before I do in my hips, so hopefully, it won’t be long before I can wear this one comfortably.

Verdict: This month’s Ellie collection was so bright and fun! While I probably won’t be heading out in a tank top any time soon, I can see this being a great outfit to wear on a hike once the weather warms up. I was impressed with the quality of these Ellie-branded items, although the fit was definitely not as forgiving as other brands that they carry. Hopefully, some actual workouts will help to get them fitting a little better! While I couldn’t verify all of the retail values, I am happy with my picks this month and feel like it was a solid value.

  1. I got this set too and lovvve it! I sized up in the pants and bra like I have for their brand previously and this worked out for me 🙂

  2. I’m getting this set too & am very excited. It’s so fun and looks great!

  3. I second what Flora says. Their customer service is great. I also got this set and love it way more than I thought I would. This is my favorite sub – I love mixing and matching the pieces too. That yellow top will look really good with some other pants pants shorts and I have a few tops from ellie that will work with the pants. The quality is so good and I love how original and ecclrctic the styles are every month!

  4. They has great customer service. I had to size up for my bra too (not their house brand) because it fit tighter than I liked too, they were very accommodating and shipped the new size. They let me donate the smaller size so I didn’t need to ship it back.

Also, their dashboard is great as you can change each individual piece to be the size you need. They don’t all have to be the same size.

    • Hi Flora! That’s so great to know! I’ve never had an issue with fit before so I’m glad to know it’s easy to change if needed. Thanks for sharing your experience! I’m sure others will find it helpful, too! 🙂
