BomiBox K-Beauty Subscription November 2020 Review
BomiBox has detailed info cards for each month’s box on their website. The info card describes all the items included in the box and instructions on how to use them. This is great since a lot of the products have instructions that are not in English.
VT Cica Smoother, 10.14 oz – Retail Value $18.00 (currently sold out)
This is an all-in-one gel lotion that can be applied to both your face and body. It reminds me of the big containers of aloe, but it has more ingredients like Centella Asiatica and derivatives of it like Asiatic acid and madecassoside. This felt cooling on the skin when I applied it to my body, so it would be great on a sunburn or irritated skin.
I’ve gone through an entire tube of this stuff thanks to my Pink Seoul subscription. This is made with Hyaluronic acid and ceramides, so it moisturizes your skin while providing protection from the sun. This starts off a little thick and I don’t know if this would be darker-skin friendly, and after a few hours of wearing it, my skin looks shiny compared to other sunscreens.
I had this moisturizer a few years ago and went through the entire jar. It has a lightweight gel-cream texture that turns watery as you apply it, so your skin really soaks it in. It’s like a drink of water for your skin because of how hydrating and lightweight it is, and it is very cooling as soon as you apply it so it would feel amazing after a warm shower.
I really thought this cute little pot was a lip balm, so I definitely put this on my lips before realizing that, in fact, this is just an adorably packaged mini moisturizer. Wow, this box came with a lot of creams. This moisturizer has a big dose of blueberry extract to nourish the skin and provide antioxidants.
I genuinely get excited to try new (in general or new to me) CosRX products, and I’ve seen some great reviews on this toner. It has over 72% black bee propolis and 10% honey extract, and that formula made it a really moisturizing toner that my sensitive skin enjoyed.
This is a basic hand cream packaged in an adorable panda bear container. It is made with Shea butter and olive oil and has a light peach fragrance. It absorbs into my hands while leaving them moisturized, and Etude House donates a portion of its sales from its “Missing U” line to UNEP‘s Save the baby Harp Seal program.
Elizavecca Red Ginseng Deep Power Ringer Mask
This sheet mask is made with red ginseng extract and niacinamide, and as a whole, I really liked the ingredients list of this mask. It was moisturizing for sure, and the mask material fit my face well.
Elizavecca Vita Deep Power Ringer Mask
This has the same comforting mask material that hugs my face, only it has Vitamin E and fruit extracts to hydrate and nourish your skin. I could do without the dimethicone, but overall I liked the ingredients list on this and my skin enjoyed wearing the mask for 20 minutes while I worked on my future career of being a couch potato.
The Verdict: Holy moisturizer, Batman — that’s a lot of creams in this month’s box. A full-size moisturizer, a full-size face and body gel, and a sample moisturizer feel like a bit much, but I’ll definitely have no excuse to not have soft skin. Elizavecca is a less ~mainstream~ K-Beauty brand that I actually really enjoy due to the way they make their products fun, so I’m glad that Bomibox featured them. Value-wise, everything except the sheet masks and the Frudia mini adds up to $60.17.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.
Loved the review! Some cute packaging in this box
It’s been a while since I’ve peeped your Bio. Congratulations on passing the bar!
