meowbox is a monthly subscription box for cats filled with fun, unique toys, and natural, grain-free, organic, and/or locally-made treats.

FYI, COVID-19 Update: meowbox is currently experiencing some shipping delays. Please allow an extra 5-7 days for delivery! Also, one item from the box was a bit late from the manufacturer this month, so it shipped about a week later than usual.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

They even put your cats' names inside the lid!

meowbox November 2020 Review

meowbox has a lot of exclusive toys that are usually pretty popular with my cats. From my perspective, it’s nice to see some things that don’t turn up in other cat subscription boxes:

The information card typically just gives a URL for finding out more information about the items in the box. The picture is adorable, as usual. This month had a "Catsronaut" theme.

On to the items:

Silvervine Comet Cat Toy

This toy features a hard ball with a few bits of twine hanging off. Silvervine is supposed to be more of a stimulant than catnip, at least for some cats. At least with my crew, Madison is the most responsive to silvervine, although they all like it to some degree. The kitties were most interested in the twine here. You can see pictures of this outside of the package in the kitty photos below.

Catstronaut Cat Toy

This is a small and adorable catnip plush toy with two textures, one for the spacesuit and one for the embroidery. My cats mostly wanted to rub their faces on this (hey, they are old) but it is a good size for tossing around if you have a younger cat.

Space Meal (Pork Liver with Cheese, 23g) Cat Treats

I like how this is packaged to kind of look like that astronaut ice cream stuff (which I have never had outside a science museum). These are tiny cubes and the cats all seemed to like them a lot, plus they are low in calories because of the size. This is made in Canada for meowbox and the foil outer packet is resealable.

Space Food 2 Pack Cat Toys

Here are some more small toys, one with a FEATHER. These are a little smaller than the catstronaut and the outer fabric is a slightly different texture. My cats tend to like the smaller toys so we are happy to get more of them in this box.

Unidentified Feline Object Cat Toy

This is a finger dangler toy; you'll often get a dangler or wand in this subscription. Sneaky is my wand/dangler kitty and she was very interested in this, although she had a bit more trouble than usual hooking her claws in it. She liked the wrong end of the toy, also, which I thought was funny.

Kitty pictures:

(Madison is black, Sneaky is calico, and Monkey is tan and white.)

Verdict: I couldn't calculate a total value for November’s meowbox because the items weren't yet for sale in their shop (and at time of publication are not available). However, I would say the contents of the box this month were representative – one high-quality treat, four toys (there's often a two-pack so maybe it counts as five?), and an adorable theme with custom made toys to fit the theme. My cats appreciated receiving several different toy types and textures this month, too!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? It is too late for the November box, so your subscription would likely start with December.

Value Breakdown: At $22.95 for the subscription plus free shipping, you are paying approximately $4.59 per item.

My cats are picky when it comes to toys, but they always love Meowbox toys. And Meowbox has the best customer support.

I always look forward to your reviews! I’d subscribe to this box if my cat wasn’t 20 years old and already set in her ways.

Received the holiday box today for my 4 cats. Can’t wait to open it for Christmas. I did peek, and love that they write the names of the cats. Thanks for the review. It really sold me on trying the box!
