  1. I received my zero waste box today and it is wonderful! Exquisitely packaged, and it included everything I expected, plus my add-on order (a set of super-cute post earrings). This is my first box of the first-ever annual subscription I have ordered from any company, so I hope I will get 3 additional boxes. Some of the comments here have me worried. But I am extremely pleased with my first box.

    • They will come through and each box amazes. Cruddy year….

  2. 1) The “update” in this post needs to be updated… It says “ The Zero Waste box is scheduled to arrive mid to late January.” (Which it didn’t/ hasn’t). “The Kyoto, Japan box will ship in March”. (It’s March. I have yet to receive the Zero Waste box, and it sounds like that’s the case for everyone”

    2) The website/operating system they use is trash. Is this “Shopify” to blame? It is SO confusing to receive a MONTHLY email stating “thank you for your purchase”. Each email has a different order number with a $0 purchase. When I look at my account in their website it is equally confusing. It shows that the JourneeBox QUARTERLY subscription Auto renews/ Ships “every 1 months”… 🤔

    I think it would be well worth this company’s while to hire a website designer who can tighten this up – simply model how Causebox (or even FFF) does it.

    They should also stop taking new orders until current orders are fulfilled.

    • Actually I wrote to them over a year ago about their insufficient internet service and they said (Hannah) that they thought they had solved it with their new provider which is just as confused. Communication is another weakness. Crickets…

    • I must agree, causebox does it well. I only sub to Journeebox currently and their creative does a fantastic job. Execution , another matter.

  3. I am so tempted to cancel. I have two boxes left but this is ridiculous. I ordered a bundle in December and was given the option of having it ship with the Zero Waste box. I said no, and received the bundle late January. I’ve been annual for over a year at this point but have only received half the boxes.

    I do wish this company well, the curation is wonderful and my personal exchanges with Kevia have been lovely.

    • I just cancelled and requested a refund for this box, which I paid for on 11/5. I also requested a refund for the box I paid for on 2/3. They quickly responded that they processed my refunds, so we’ll see if this hits my bank. I’d paid for 3 boxes and received 1 …

  4. This is my second box but it seems pretty slim. The website says 6+ products per box but the spoilers include only 3 items (+1 for annual subscribers). Are they keeping the non-customizable options a surprise or is this a smaller box? For my first box (Grand Canyon), I received emails with spoilers for all items. Was that atypical?

    • The remaining items haven’t been spoiled yet, just the customizable ones.

    • I’m increasingly concerned by the comments I’m seeing. I paid for an annual subscription and multiple people are saying it’s been 5 months between boxes. I understand that the supply chain is messed up, but JourneeBox owes an explanation to the people who paid a lot of money and have received nothing, myself included. Are they even close to telling folks when the box will ship?

      • I joined Annual 16 months ago and have only received three boxes. That works out to a box every 152 days as opposed to their promised every 90 days and my 4th hasn’t even shipped yet. My account has never reflected that they completely skipped a box in 2020 despite numerous emails to customer service where they promised to fix and then they just deleted my account entirely at least twice while “upgrading” their system. So worn out with this bs and the never ending shipping delays, but to top it off, got a email from Journeebox/Kevia last night (after business hours) saying my sub was up for renewal and I was to be charged another $199 on March 1st before my next box (that I paid for 1 1/2 years ago) would ship. As much as I have enjoyed the boxes I actually received, am not going to put myself through another year of aggravation for more “stuff” no matter how lovely, so I cancelled online. My account then stated ” you have no shipments remaining”. Totally fed up and irked with Journeebox!

  5. Anyone have any luck canceling their subscription? I realized since joining last March I had only received two boxes! The website lets me login to see my orders but not to cancel (claims I don’t have an account)- am I missing where I cancel?

    • I emailed customer service and asked for a prorated refund. They responded and refunded the same day. Too bad as I enjoyed the Grand Canyon box. Hope they can get their fulfillment and shipping issues sorted.

  6. Has anyone received the Zero Waste Box????

    • I haven’t received mine and I just got a confusing email stating the Zero Waste Box would ship in mid to late January. Hello it’s February 8!

      • I received an email saying mid-February. I’m hoping that’s true.

      We, like many e-commerce retailers during this global health crisis, are having trouble with shipping from our supply channels but we are communicating daily with our vendors and carriers, and working diligently with our logistics partners to get our unique products from source to your door.

  7. I absolutely love this box WHEN and IF I get it. It has been 5 months between boxes. (Not three as it should be) I signed up in April, and got the Spring Box right away. However, the next box didn’t come until September, and the box we were promised by the end of January isn’t even shipping until Feb. I love, love the stuff in this box, but they are just too unreliable right now. I won’t be renewing until they get their act together. (I’m an annual subscriber)

  9. I have had a lot of trouble with customization with this subscription as well. It is in part with the way you have to go through the whole purchasing process (for $0) for the selections to be saved but even so a couple of times I have had to do them two and even three times. Their customer service is always super nice and helpful but usually by the time I call them the selections I wanted, that I thought I had selected long ago, are sold out. That and I have so much stuff that is so beautiful but I will never ever use. I was also sad at the beautiful boxes that I couldn’t find a use for but now I have packed up all my breakable Christmas ornaments in them!

  10. I got an email from them on December 24 offering me 15% off a subscription so, even though it was a big chunk of money I bought an annual subsciption, hoping the January box would bring me some joy in a dark, cold, and dreary time of year. The email also said this:

    Your will receive an email after purchase with your customization pass code. Your box will be delayed if it is not customized.

    I didn’t get the email, and so I emailed customer service. I got a reply the next day telling me my first box would be Spring! This would have been nice to know. The email showed the 3 spoilers and customization choices for the Winter box, so I think it was reasonable to think that would be my first box. It said nothing about customization being already closed (was sent Dec 24!) for the box they showed in the email (and they showed the choices!)
    I’m posting this so others who got that email won’t be disappointed like I was (and still am.)

    • They sent me the editor’s box instead of the Zero Waste box even though I customized the Zero Waste Box. I’m annual. Paid for my subscription back in April of 2020. I skipped the Grand Canyon box and was really excited for my Zero Waste box. Instead I got repeat items of things from last year. I reached out to customer service over a week ago and no one got back to me. I followed up and no one got back to me. I am so disappointed. I paid for an annual subscription over 8 months ago and the only thing I’ve received is the wrong box and I’m being ignored. I was one of the biggest advocates for this sub box. Now I just wish I could get my money back. It’s probably too late to do a chargeback on my card. I’m so sad. My whole experience is now tainted.

      • I purchased a annual sub 15 months ago and my 4th box still hasn’t shipped. Customization was confirmed 12/10. The three boxes I have received have been lovely, but the account mix ups, shipping delays and subsequent broken shipping promises plus scant communication are a cause for concern and have diminished my enthusiasm and for this sub.
        Hope someone got back to you about getting the editors box instead of Zero Waste. Wonder how many, if any, members have received their Zero Waste boxes?

      • They have a new CS rep named Leo – former employee Hannah left Dec. 28th. He’s trying to catch up on shipping and billing issues.

        Kevia herself sent me an email stating my Zero Waste box will ship the beginning of February.

        I’m optimistic things will get sorted out.

  11. I love that JourneeBox always surprises me with things I would never buy myself. I am SO not a basket person, but this spoiler makes me think about how nice it will be to use one as a tidy catch-all! I think I’ll use mine to store things I need to take between floors.

    Does anyone know the full spoilers in the box? I am thinking about gifting this for x-mas but would like an idea of the full box.


    • I don’t believe JourneeBox has released any further spoilers at this point (I keep a close eye on my emails and haven’t seen anything further). Also, just in case it matters since you mentioned gifting the box for Xmas, this box won’t ship out until the later part of January (not sure if you saw that part).

    • I believe that this one doesn’t ship ’til January, so be careful gifting it! It probably won’t arrive by the holiday, but I’m sure you could wrap a card as a placeholder. 🙂 If you’re personally a subscriber, you could use one of the cards they gave in that past box, that would be so cute!

  16. I remember the good ol days when MSA actually had spoilers out in a timely manner. Now, it seems they are 2 steps behind. I’ve know about these spoilers for quite awhile and have already customized my box 🤦🏻‍♀️ Plus I feel like we used to get more spoilers than we used to 🤔

    • Sadly I agree. Now it’s owned by a Corp instead of just Liz so it’s much less personal.

    • No. Those are the customization items and I don’t believe they’ve spoiled the remaining items yet.
