GlossyBox December 2020 Spoiler #1 + First Box for $16!

I have subscribed on and off to Glossy for years. You do have to follow their rules about subscriptions otherwise they will charge you again. If you have a 3 month subscription shut it down on the second month and you will be fine. There have been minor issues I have had with shipments, however they always make good on it. Glossy is hit or miss with there boxes however their point system is the best. You can either use them on Look Fantastic or apply them to your new orders on Glossy. I love when a LE is put out and I land up getting it for a song because of the points I have. I wish more boxes would do this.

I’m currently dealing with Glossybox and their thieving behavior. I requested they remove auto renewal from my account 2 months before the annual subscription was due for renewal. I removed my card information and address from the account at that time. I cancelled the subscription as soon as I got my last box on the 15th of last month. Lo and behold I see a charge of $226 on my card for another year of subscription. I have contacted them in every way possible, they won’t budge. Ignoring the fact that I requested they not auto renew my subscription. And just repeating a canned message that I canceled 1 day past cut off so I’m locked into a year of subscription. The charge hasn’t even gone through yet it is pending on my card, I am just hoping it doesn’t eventually go thru because it was not authorized. No box shipped. Nothing but the criminals at Glossybox will hold on to a year of subscription just because. Already working with my card company. I’m just hoping they will reverse the charge if it goes through with the proof of my request to stop auto renewal that was submitted to glossybox 2 months ago.

It’s not like their boxes are horrible, I like the decorated boxes. It’s their shackling strategies that’s horrible. I should not be forced into a whole year subscription like that. My advice. Use a disposable card if that’s an option ( I usually do this and I am really regretting not doing it right now, I used PayPal and PayPal is not helpful right now). If that’s not an option, cancel as soon as they ship it or sometimes they will ship late so cancel any subscription by the 10th. Make sure you have a paper trail of request to cancel any auto renewal or subscription. Do so by the 10th of this month not next month. They make money by locking people into unwanted subscriptions.

Glossybox is incredibly hit or miss. Best advice, if you use PayPal, make sure to cancel on that end too. Cancelling only in my glossybox account still allowed them to charge my PayPal account 🙄
