I finally got my 2nd box today!! .. I got the cardigan in both boxes. I wish I had gotten the tea kettle in one of them. I hear it is beautiful!! I also got the coasters in both boxes.. They are pretty.. One set will go into my future gift closet. I Love the cardigan.. so soft!! The second one again, will go in my gift closet. I got my Christmas shopping started! lol

In one box, I got the planner and thank goodness, the second box, I got the foot masks!! I don’t know why they don’t do the planner in the fall box so we have it before the start of the year!! Doesn’t make sense at all..

The only thing that I wish I had gotten, besides the kettle, is the True Moringa Rejuvenating Body Polish.. I would have loved to try it!!

Shouldn’t we be seeing Spring spoilers soon?

The spoilers were not all that exciting – and as the first week of February ends, my “winter” box hasn’t shipped. Big disappointment!

Reply ButtonReply

Doreen

Still haven’t received my box, and it says it hasn’t shipped yet! It’s been about 8 weeks since they billed me. Have a feeling I will get bill for the spring box before I get the winter one. I wonder if this means I will get the least desirable items.

Those of us who are seasonal actually pay more per box but get fewer and later selections. We should at least get priority shipping.

I get shipping might take longer because of COVID, but this is ridiculous. I received items from China faster than them.

We should get a discount or some kind of acknowledgement for this poor service.

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

I ordered my first box on Black Friday and just got mine 1/30 sat!

Everything I wished for was in the box, was not disappointed!

Hang tight!

Reply ButtonReply

Doreen

Thanks for the encouragement! I’m glad you got everything you had hoped to receive.

Dixie

if it makes you feel better I’m annual and my box hasn’t shipped yet either.

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

I’m annual and purchased my subscription in November. Still waiting for my winter box. I don’t think they are leaving leftovers to seasonal members, they still have to fulfill annual subscriptions so there are no leftovers for now. I saw pics of seasonals who ordered their boxes in December (after me) and already got their boxes with the same items I selected. this indicates that those same items where available, therefore it’s not that I didn’t get my box for inventory reasons. And while I cannot tell you how their shipments are organized, I can tell you that shipping sucks for everyone.

As for priority shipping, I disagree with. I think it should go by time you sign up for the box, regardless of the type of subscription: if you signed up before me, I think it’s fair you get your box before me and viceversa. This would be a perk for sticking with them, either as an annual or a seasonal subscriber.

As for the price, as a seasonal member you can cancel your subscription before renewal and resubscribe with a discount code, which can make a seasonal box actually cheaper than what an annual pays per box. You don’t even need a new account. I’m not suggesting you do that, I’m just pointing out that it’s an option you have.

Reply ButtonReply

Doreen

Yes, I did sign up before you. Seasonal subscribers receive a recurring charge every quarter automatically. There are many of us who have subscribed for years.

Joan

I have not received my winter box. Please check when it will ship

January 21 AND still awaiting shipment. Crazy. Have any seasonal subscribers received the foot masks & the kettle? Please let me know I’m curious. Are all the seasonal subscribers getting the gray sweater & planner.

Reply ButtonReply

Got my box monday. I tried the foot mask and it’s awesome. I really like the sweater and matching socks. Overall I like the box.

I wish the toner was a candle or a lotion or anything else. I also got the scrub.

I got my box on Monday. I already tried the foot mask, it’s awesome. I love the sweater and matching socks. I wish the toner was lotion or a candle or anything else, but overall I like the box. I also picked the scrub.

I am in the same boat. My payment cleared my bank on December 2nd! Yet, here it is January 21st and they have not even prepared my box for shipment. I love the box, but may cancel, because…well, I am impatient.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy G

Got my second box. Put the kettle lid on and now can’t get it off. I customized and picked the foot masks — they sent the planner instead. (Already had in my other box and don’t want another.). Frustrating.

Reply ButtonReply

Angela G Poag

I just got a notice saying the box has shipped. Again, I was not given notice to select any items, so I will end up with items I don’t want. That is why I am canceling.

Reply ButtonReply

Cheryl W

My boxes both say awaiting shipment.. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.. Causebox is always slow, but if I am getting that planner, I won’t be happy.. Why don’t they put that in the FALL box so everyone has it for the new year?? By the time I get it (if it is in there) more than a month has gone by.. Just doesn’t make sense.. if you are going to take this long to mail the boxes, don’t put something that is suppose to be used starting January 1st. kwim?

Reply ButtonReply

Debra

Received my box today and I do really like the sweater. I also revived the planner, which I can use. Also received the pillowcase that is quite nice. The reusable pouches are ok and the scrub. I am canceling due to finances, so this was just an okay box for me. I understand companies are under strain due to the virus, but it did take a long time to receive my box. I think for me, the bloom is off the rose with subscription boxes. But I am sure others are still happy to receive them and might enjoy this box.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

I feel the exact same way! So much stuff, and not always useful. It was fun for awhile, but I’m over it now.

Reply ButtonReply

Luvjules

First of all – this is winter 2021. I am still awaiting my shipment because there was, according to causebox website, “no holiday shipping”. Haha! That’s the same thing as saying ‘our customers are not a priority’. It is Jan 12th and I am still awaiting shipment. The causebox company Facebook page has disabled the “reviews” tab – this is a BAD sign. No company operating for the common good or in good faith would disable the ability to post reviews. WOW. I’ll be posting to subscription groups where everyone participates & everyone profits from the free boxes for review. Right now, there are fewer subscription boxes that represent an incredible value for the price. Early on in the game, yes. Right now, no.

Reply ButtonReply

Dramaspoiler

Nope still haven’t gotten mine yet. Still showing as awaiting shipment and I’m annual. They should really service this based on when you make your selection like a first select first get. Its frustrating when other that select after you get it before you. There must be an easier way showing transparency of how they determine who gets first or not like an order number or queue inline.

Reply ButtonReply

Didds

Mine hasn’t shipped yet either and now they’re saying they’ll be shipping into February. I’m annual and now I’m wondering…. will I get this box before I get the spring box?

Sandi

My credit card was crunched on Dec 3rd, and today is January 28. I have not received my box yet or an email telling me it has shipped. So quick to get your money, but a turtles pace to ship out! Getting ridiculous!

Hoppy

Has anyone got there box, yet?

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

Slightly irritated that I see here people who received their boxes 2+ weeks ago. I’m a long time member which apparently has nothing to do with when they ship. Someone said they got their first two boxes. Irritating if they are servicing new subscriptions before us old-timers.

Reply ButtonReply

TC

I got mine today.

Deb

I got my market order but my sub box hasn’t shipped yet. I wish they’d do what FFF does and ship them together.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy G

Several of us commented below that we’ve gotten them, and some of the other subscription sites have their reviews up.

Reply ButtonReply

Colleen

I haven’t heard from them re: shipping and/or when it’ll ship. Getting anxious, especially for my market orders!

Reply ButtonReply

Amy G.

I got my first of two boxes a few days ago. I like the coasters a lot, haven’t used the toner or bags yet, and the sweater is too similar to one I have (listed it on Poshmark) but seems like better quality than the robe was last quarter. I really like the planner and pillowcase.
All in all, not the best box but better than I expected.

Reply ButtonReply

Potato

I received my winter box today as an annual member. Super happy because I never even expected my 2021 planner would arrive on time LOL.

I think we are all spoiled by subscription boxes. Please keep in mind that you are only paying $50ish for a box, in regardless of the value claims (we all know that retail value means almost nothing. A brand can set up the price however they want)

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda Jill Whaley

I did not realize you could skip a season, if I had I would have skipped. I am not thrilled with this seasonal box.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

You do have to email them directly and IMO they gave me a bit of a hard time about it but they did it.

I wish the website made it clearer when your sub ended so I could check and make sure it was extended. I swear it did before but when I logged in recently it just said I was an annual member

Reply ButtonReply

Didds

you can email and ask, I did.

Kc

You can skip as many seasons as you want and still access the marketplace.

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

This box is meh to me. I was excited about the marble coasters partially cause I know I would pick hoop earrings that I already have the same pair or a coffee scrub that clogs my drain. I guess I could always use more pillow cases. I never wear socks at home in the winter, there to slippery for me . Reusable plastic bags and baking sheets, really? The other item I was excited about is the gold tea pot. There’s no size open for the cardigan. I picked the foot mask, I rarely ever use foot masks but Ik I’ll never use the planner, I do Everything on my phone. And I literally just got the same truffle toner that doesn’t do much for me. Overall I give this box a 2/5

Reply ButtonReply

Different Victoria

Reusable bags and baking mats is what Causebox is all about, really. And there is a size option – you can contact Causebox for the plus-sized cardigan. This is my least favorite box by them in a long time, though.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

They don’t include any info about emailing them for a different size on the website though. You have to dig for it on their social media. That’s a really backwards and nonsensical way to offer sizes.

Laura

I know I’m late, but how much can you customize if you are just seasonal? I received an email from them today and it looked like even seasonal could customize. Thanks

Reply ButtonReply

Victoria

I believe seasonal members can’t customize anything. I’m an annual member for a year. Maybe things have changed?

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

I asked to skip this one. I have all of this stuff already.

I am annoyed that they keep referring to things like the kettle and these earrings as “gold” when I am sure that they are just gold plated and not actually gold. What are they made of? That’s important to me to know and is only good business practice to be clear they really aren’t solid gold. They used to be better and about.

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

Kinda like “vegan leather”. I hate that term. Call it plastic, vinyl or whatever it is.

Reply ButtonReply

Didds

no reasonable person could assume that earrings valued at $38 are solid gold haha

Reply ButtonReply

Annabelle

The earrings are gold plated, as one would expect. Just don’t get the box if you don’t like it. There’s no scandal here.

Rachel

Google “solid gold hoops under $40” and many pairs show up that are actual gold. It isn’t unreasonable at all. Describing it just as gold or requiring people to independently search for a second site to read the correct description is against US federal law. It’s a basic consumer protection to have products labeled correctly.

MissJ

So, about the earrings. Either way you look at it, they’re gold. Whether in reference to color or material, it’s a yes to one, so you can’t say they can’t call them gold. Also, who in their right mind would think real gold metal earrings would be in a $50 sub box with 5 other items? There’s that caveat too 🤷‍♀️ You should know they mean the color.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

Missj,
I couldn’t agree with you more! I love Causebox and always feel good about what is in the box and the stories behind what groups Causebox is helping. In the case of the earrings, going to the Sanctuary Project website, all of their earrings described as gold or silver are plated. Really, seeing those lovely thick hoops with a retail of $38, who would think they were solid gold? Also, who in their right mind thinks they will love every item in every box? Decide if the cost of the box and the value of things you get is worth it to you. I have found this box to be a wonderful and fun curation of things I can use and a feel good box because it helps many worthy organizations. I have 2 subscriptions so I don’t have to make too many hard choices. I’ll be getting both gold plated items!

Rachel

So you would be okay with spending $1000 on a pair of earrings that are described only as gold, just like these are, but are actually gold-painted plastic or stainless steel? You wouldn’t want your money back? You wouldn’t be mad? That’s exactly what is happening here.

The box is supposed to be worth over $200. You can get actual gold earrings for less than that. The other items in the box are super cheap. I have received a sterling and actual gold charm in a $40 box before.

There are consumer protection laws for a reason. It is misleading to say items made of metal are “gold”, a commonly used precious metal, if they are in actuality not gold. That’s why jewelry descriptions carefully state “gold tone” or “gold plated” when talking about costume jewelry or sunglasses or anything metallic gold colored. If a company says a piece of jewelry is gold, it is reasonable for a consumer to believe it is in fact made of gold. We aren’t taking about an item that couldn’t be made of gold like a t-shirt or a ball of yarn.

Didds

I would doubt that kettle is even gold plated. The thing about the word gold is it’s not just a material, it’s also a colour.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachel

That’s true, but when it comes to jewelry and items that could be made of actual gold, truth in advertising laws generally dictate that the actual material is named or at the very least it is clear that the item is not made of actual gold. That’s why you see “gold plated stainless steel earrings” or “gold dipped sterling”, “gold-look brass candlestick” etc. From the description one could easily assume the earrings are solid gold. They are opening themselves up for complaint and even fines by not being up front about what they are selling. We aren’t talking about a sweatshirt here, earrings are routinely made out of gold and that’s literally how they are being described on the website. As consumers, it is reasonable to assume they are gold, as described.

Al

This was an easy pass for me. What happened to Causebox keeping its annual subscribers happy?! The welcome box seem to be more appetising yet the quality for the annual subscription feels like it’s becoming a bit FFF:(

The kettle looks like it will rust easily, I’m not a fan on jewellery in subscription boxes as it’s a personal taste & style, the cardigan looks too TJ max.. socks I have a bunch already. It just feels too meh…

I’m very happy with the Margot Elena winter box though and wished I used the BF deal for spring! The earth love bonus box is also beautiful

Reply ButtonReply

Mallory @ MSA

So sorry to hear this, Al! We hope you like the Spring Causebox better, and we’re so happy you’re loving Margot Elena!

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

I like everything in this box except the toner, I wish I could choose something else as an alternate. There is nothing wrong with it except I have three already so more will be wasted on me. Wish I had someone who would appreciate it to gift to to, but most people I know wouldn’t appreciate it.

Reply ButtonReply

Annabelle

I love most of these items. I added a second box somIm getting everything except for the socks and the coffee scrub. Very useful things!

Reply ButtonReply

Shaylee

I think I have finally made my choices.
Kettle because it’s hard to find a pretty minimalist kettle and easy to find a comfy cardigan. Planner because I think that is what I would get the most FOMO over. I’m also curious if the quality is good. The planner I got in FFF last year was not good quality. I’m getting the baggies because I will use them more. Finally, the hardest decision so far. I keep going back and forth on coasters vs earrings but I’m getting the earrings. I already have marble coasters. My ears closed up 2 years ago and I have to get them repierced. I hope eventually I will use the earrings. I will be swapping the toner. I have a HG toner already. Glow recipe.

Reply ButtonReply

Tetiana

Are you able to get an additional item from the category for an extra pric? Like with FabFitFun?

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

Sadly, no.

Reply ButtonReply

Lauren

No but if you buy an additional seasonal box sometimes they will let you customize it if you’re already an annual.

Melody

No:(

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica Nicole

My choices: Cardigan – Looks easy to throw on around house, in a chilly office or to walk dog. Coffee scrub – love the smell. Pillow case – I can get socks anywhere, but this is a great idea for more hygenic travel and very good quality too. Baking Sheets – so excited for these to make clean up easier and save money on parchment paper. Foot masks – already have a planner, and like that with a set of 5 I can try one and also have some to gift to friends. Toner – wouldn’t have chosen myself, but might be able to sell on poshmark. What are you choosing and why!?

Reply ButtonReply

Melody

I am choosing the sweater because I don’t have any ethically made sweaters and I’m trying to buy, and transition my wardrobe to, only ethically made items. The earrings because I love accessories, especially earrings. I wish the tones of the sweater and earrings were more in synch. I probably won’t wear the two together but it would be fun if they had matched better. I’ll be choosing the pillow case. I’d like to see if it can extend my hair style any longer and I don’t like slouchy socks. I am choosing the reusable baggies and will save them for travel. I rarely use zip locks besides traveling. And, I’ll be choosing the planner. I typically would have one.for next year already, but I didn’t get around to that yet, so I was really happy to see this one in the box. I was hoping for something other than skincare for the final item. A candle would have been ideal and with the hints, I was almost expecting one. I seem to always get toner in subscription boxes and I don’t go through them very quickly but I think I’ll get to this eventually…

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica Nicole

It seems many agree that causebox needs to slow down on the skincare, especially if not a choice option. There are so many beauty boxes out there if people want those types of items. I feel like causebox should be more focused on the sustainability products that people are always thrilled with as well as the artisan made items.

Iz

I would have preferred a candle as well. I really liked the diffuser they had in spring and the candles they included in past boxes, I missed that! Also, skincare is very personal and there are ingredients in this toner that are not suitable for everybody (dare I say for many). I think, if they really wanted to include a product for the skin to match the winter theme (despite the fact that there are already a body scrub and foot masks), be a body/hand lotion – boring, but at least they are easier to gift than a toner. the foot masks would have been a better fit for a “everybody gets it” product.

Cary

In the end I couldn’t say no at $30. I am happy enough with all choices. I have a feeling the cardigan is going to be really soft and okay if oversized and the kettle is beautiful. I put fake flowers in teapots and kettles I don’t use.
Don’t have a green thumb so using as a planter lasted about a month.

Reply ButtonReply

Lauren

They have a plus sized option available for the cardigan if you email them directly.
