Forever or a Day by Sarah Jacoby – Retail Value $17.99

This book is so beautifully illustrated! Those colors are gorgeous and while I loved the message of this story about time, it might have been a bit over my children’s heads. This might be one of those books that is more for the parents than the kids! They did enjoy looking at the scenes depicted, but overall the concept was not very easy to understand and the wording was a bit too obscure for younger children to grasp. With a little explanation from me, they seemed to get the gist of it though so we’ll have to give this another read and see how they respond!

Through With the Zoo by Jacob Grant – Retail Value $16.99

This book also had some beautiful illustrations and my children really liked this one. There were plenty of animals to hold their interest and the idea of a goat escaping from a petting farm was a fun notion to them! This was an engaging and cute story that we really enjoyed.

Verdict: Our Bookroo picture books were both very beautifully illustrated and while the kids really loved the story about the goat, I’m not sure they are sold on the other one. Although, I found it to be a sweet reminder about time and how quickly it passes. The total retail value of our books comes to $34.98 which is great for a $24.94 ($19.95 + $4.99 shipping)/month box with such unique books!
