If you aren't familiar with Birchbox sample choice, each month subscribers get to pick one of the samples in their box, pick a completely revealed curated box for that month, or swap it. (Alternatively, you can pick nothing and get a complete surprise.)

I picked the clean routine box this month, I really like the curated boxes so that I can see if I will like the products that I am getting. I am really excited for the jade gua sha, it will match the jade roller that I got in my November box, I have a rose quartz gua sha and roller so it will be nice to have the jade version of the two. The only thing that I don’t like in the clean routine box is the anti-aging lotion, but I think that my mom would like it. I am surprised that there were no makeup products that you could choose as a sample or in either of the curated boxes though. I am actually happy that the acrylic box ended up as the January box instead of the December box because it will be like a little treat for surviving 2020, and the holographic tissue paper is so cute.

Went with points. This is my last remaining beauty sub, and with so much product overload, I’m happy to be able to swap for points to get something I really want.

Disappointed most of the options were gone by the time I logged in at noon yesterday. I will have to log in quicker next month.

I’m not an Ace, and I logged in around 8am PST yesterday, and I went straight to the curated boxes section since the sample pick items didn’t appeal to me, and the Luna and Dewy Skin box was already sold out. I was initially sad that the Luna was sold out (even though I have more than enough samples of it), but I’m happy I was able to get the Clean Beauty Picks box, as that was the only other item that really appealed to me… mostly because of the Davines hair products; it’s usually hard for me to turn down a box with a Davines shampoo sample in it (those last me forever and my hair LOVES it!), and truthfully that box initially caught my eye more than the Luna oil when I first saw the sample pick spoilers a couple of days ago, but then I thought getting the .5oz oil for $8+ was too good to pass up. All of this rambling to say, that I agree with you, and I’ll need to log in earlier next month. 😀

I got the Luna oil. On Reddit there are reports of people saying that they reached out to CS to confirm that its the .5 oz size. So I’ll be very disappointed if its not!

In the email I received as an Ace it said the Luna choice was worth $55. So definitely a larger size!

Bummer! I don’t remember getting an email reminder for selections and I just signed up again with the BF deal and am sad I missed out on this full size Luna! I love that stuff!

Selected the Verb hair duo. That will surely count as 2 slots in the box ☹️ Would have selected the $13 credit, but I don’t want to be forced to spend more $$$. I will bet I get that ridiculous green thing too. Whatever. Bought the annual on Black Friday for about $100. Live and learn.

Agree! I paid about $8.30 per box and they give me $13 in points in the trade. Three months of swaps are worth the Juara candlenut body creme! 🙂

I’m sure it’s not a full size Luna anyway probably a tiny sample. I chose the Verb shampoo/conditioner nothing else was left. This is not a very good box.

I signed in to pick right at choice time and it said the Luna was already sold out. I was really upset because that means they only had enough for ACE members to pick because they pick early and that’s totally unfair. So I emailed CS who said that since ACE picks early they were technically sold out. I told them I was really upset about that and they told me there was a small supply they had kept back and they would make that my choice so I could get it. When I received my box I was super surprised that it was indeed the actual full size that is like $60 at Sephora. The LUNA serum is amazing. It has already completely transformed my skin just in the short time I’ve been using it. But the moral of the story is it is complete BS that they only have a very small supply and by the time ACE members choose it’s already gone. If they are going to offer a swap your box choice then they need to make sure they have enough to go around. I’m just glad they had a small supply held back and when I voiced my complaints they sent it to me.
