Basic Woman December 2020 Review

White Crew Tee, Size Large

It doesn't get any more basic than a plain white tee. In Basic Woman's true fashion, this tee is buttery soft and fits like a dream. My size settings are set to large; I usually wear a medium top (typically size 8), but I just can't stand wearing anything overly clingy, especially since there is nowhere to go these days. This shirt isn't cut to fit too femininely, but I prefer it that way.

It hugs in the right places and falls right at my hips, exactly where it should.

White Low Cut Socks

I've never been into low-cuts or no-shows, but these were pretty comfortable. I can definitely see myself utilizing these with my slide on shoes, but they will be sitting in my drawer until spring (we currently have 18 inches of snow outside!).

Please excuse my swollen ankles and feet, but working on my feet for 9+ hours is no joke! For low cut socks, these fall at just the right part of my ankles so they don't slide into my shoes. They are thin and definitely not winter socks by any means, but I like the simple design and the breathable fabric (for warmer months).

Navy Bikini Bottoms, Large

Another great pair of undies! I love the fit of Basic Woman's bikini bottoms. I typically wear a size 8 or 10 in jeans, and these fit me perfectly; I don't have any issues with the fabric migrating, either! My absolute favorite Basic Woman panty feature is the rubberized banding around the hips and legs; it is essential when you have such a soft, thin fabric that needs to stay put.

Verdict: I love building my basics wardrobe with Basic Woman. Their products are soft, comfortable and they are built to last. $19.99 is a month is a nice affordable way to gradually replace pieces that are old or just no longer fit to your liking. I am (almost) 32, and I have no patience for underwear that isn't comfortable! Each month I enjoy unboxing this subscription, and I always look forward to seeing what other styles Basic Woman has to offer.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

Monthly plan is actually $24.99, not $19.99. The $19.99 price is only for annual subscription, which is fully paid upfront.

On their site they say t shirts are bamboo.

Abbey, is the t shirt 100% cotton? I like this box, but prefer 100% cotton. Thanks!

Not Abby, but zooming in on the label, it says “95% bamboo viscose and 5% elastane”.

Thanks Jenny! Bamboo is a very breathable fabric, which is what I wanted to ascertain. Bamboo, tencel (eucalyptus) and close to 100% cotton is all great for undershirts and tanks that you want to keep you dry. Hot flashes. 😖
