What can I expect from my first Glam Bag X?

Glam Bag X is our most extra Glam Bag yet, and the first drop of this quarterly upgrade will ship in February 2021. Since it features seven to eight full-size products from the hottest brands, all curated by a mega celeb, quantities are limited—but you can reserve your spot while there’s still space.

A new Glam Bag X will drop in February, May, August, and November (yes, mark your calendar now!). During those months, your Glam Bag X replaces your usual monthly bag, either your Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus; if you have both, it replaces your Glam Bag Plus. Your Glam Bag X is valued at up to $350 and is only an additional $43/shipment for Glam Bag members and $30/shipment for Glam Bag Plus members. Talk about an amazing value, right?

You’ll love this part, too—during each upgrade month, you’ll get to build your perfect Glam Bag X during Ultra Personalization starting on the 2nd at 9 a.m. ET until the 3rd at 6 p.m. ET. Here’s how it works: First, you discover your four to five celeb-curated picks. Then, you handpick three more full-size products from a personalized assortment of Glam Bag X exclusives and first-of-a-kind new product launches that could include tools, accessories, and a themed Glam Bag. And finally, you complete Ultra Personalization with incredible deals on product Add-Ons.

How do I get Glam Bag X?

Glam Bag X is available as a quarterly upgrade for Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus members, so if you already have one (or both!) of those bags, simply visit the Glam Bag X tab and click on the “GET GLAM BAG X” button.

If you don’t have Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus yet, get started by taking the Beauty Quiz and telling us about your beauty preferences. Once you’re done with the quiz, you’ll have the option of signing up for Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus. After you’ve made your choice and become a member, log into your account and visit the Glam Bag X tab. All that’s left to do is click the “GET GLAM BAG X” button, and voilà—you just scored the most-coveted membership in beauty.

What is the difference between Glam Bag, Glam Bag Plus, and Glam Bag X?

Glam Bag includes five deluxe-size beauty samples (one you choose yourself) valued at over $50 for just $12/month. Glam Bag Plus includes five full-size products (three you choose yourself) valued at over $120 for just $25/month.

Glam Bag X is only available to members with a monthly Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus plan. Glam Bag X is a quarterly, limited-edition upgrade that includes seven to eight full-size products (three you choose yourself) that feature the trendiest brands and exclusive launches—and it’s all specially curated by a mega celeb. When will my Glam Bag X ship?

Already looking forward to getting that baby in the mail? Can’t blame ya. Glam Bag X ships four times per year (AKA every three months) in February, May, August, and November. The debut Glam Bag x Patrick Ta will ship in February and replace your monthly Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus. As with your monthly bag, Glam Bag X ships shortly after you’re billed successfully on the last day of the preceding month, and you can expect it to arrive approximately two weeks after billing.

How are my products selected for me?

Your Glam Bag X includes seven to eight full-size products curated by one of beauty’s biggest tastemakers. The featured curator of the month hand-selects four to five of your products, and you choose the remaining three from a personalized assortment that features Glam Bag X exclusives. Your exclusives can include early access to new products, hot launches, and all those other FOMO-worthy beauty moments that you need to get in on.

When do I get to choose my Glam Bag X products?

During Glam Bag X months, you’ll get to choose three of your full-size products starting on the 2nd at 9 a.m. ET until the 3rd at 6 p.m. ET. Set your alarm, circle the dates on your calendar, write a sticky note—do what you need to do so you don’t miss out!

Glam bag ultimate was a bad deal to begin with because you can get plus and regular for $37 which is basically the ultimate so I’m glad they are doing away with that. However, we should have the option of which bag we want to replace that month for those of us with both subscriptions considering they are allowing regular to upgrade as well. I would rather keep my plus like it is and upgrade my regular those months. Otherwise having my plus bag only have 2 more products in it (let’s be real, most months will have 7) for over double the price doesn’t feel like a good deal unless they are really spectacular, high end products with no fillers. I’ll either split my subscriptions into two different accounts and upgrade the regular bag or just not bother at all. I spend too much on makeup as it is. Lmao

I wasn’t a fan of Ultimate either. The first box was a total dud and I cancelled immediately. I also sis not see the value in Ultimate. I get 2 Plus bags now and that provides me with 10 full size items per month for 50.00. IMO that’s the best deal. I normally don’t get duplicates because my I set each account up with different preferences. I think I will upgrade 1 account to get this new bag a shot and leave the other one alone.

Basically, it was not the Ultimate because you got eight (8) FULL SIZE and four (4) deluxe samples for $50….so, yeah….not really……I had all three tiers and took the Glam X since December will be the last Ulitmate box…which I happened to like……

I’m so glad that I’m not the only one who think this is confusing AF! I’m definitely canceling because waiting for them to arrive is stressful now we have to sort out which box is which and how much it costs. Smh I’ll stick to amazon and Sephora.

A bit off topic, but is anyone else still waiting for a shipping notification for November’s Ultimate bag? I usually get mine much earlier, and I already received my regular bag last week.

I am also still waiting on my ultimate i was charged the first, it was suppose to arrive by the 13th and still nothing. Not to mention about a week ago I signed up for a glam bag for my daughter and it has already arrived.

Sounds interesting but I’ve seen a couple of pics with these spoiler products (like the one above) and I really hope those scrunchi’s aren’t part of the box!! My personal opinion but its something I def do not want especially when they are making it seem like its a super luxe box.

Still trying to weigh out paying $25 for 5 full size products, choosing 3 myself, then an additional $30 for 2-3 more full size products. I signed up for it; guess time will tell whether the brands offered are upgrades from our usual never heard of that brand items that typically are included in our Plus subs

Plus ($25) averages like $130. Upgrading to X is $30 more ($55) and they say the value is up to $350. So it will probably be between $250 and $350. It isn’t just about the number of products.

On the months we get the GBX will we still get our basic $12 bag as well? Or just the GBX? I’m confused,lol. I signed up, I really really hope that Huda palette is in the box. It will have a retail value of $350. Could turn out to be really good!

seems like a replacement? which kind of bothers me a little like boxycharm, id like to keep the base. im going off this from the terms of subscription page when you sign up:

“When you subscribe to Glam Bag X, you will automatically be billed the then current fee for Glam Bag X every three months (February, May, August and November) instead of the regular monthly fee for your Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus.”

Eva – nothing will change for you unless you opt into/sign up for Glam Bag X. The increased charges are only for subscribers who choose to get GBX. You won’t be charged more if you do nothing.

Also, my understanding is that for those of us that get GB and GBP and sign up for GBX, we’ll get GBX 4x/year instead of GBP, but will still get the usual GB 12x/year. If you have GB only and sign up for GBX, then you’ll get GBX 4x/year (with its higher charge) and GB the other 8 months of the year.

I’m so confused LOL. you mentioned it said, “instead of the regular monthly”. Sounds like instead of paying $12 4 x’s a year we will be billed $43 extra because the glam bag is the X. If that’s the case I will be cancelling this month or next. Ipsy has been fun but the only other box I get is Allure and with the price increase there I can’t take on another price hike even 4 x’s a year.

If I paid for the year upfront will I just be charged the difference during the X months or will I have to pay for a year of the X upfront or will they take me off the yearly sub?

I think if you have a paid yearly membership for Glam Bag or Glam Bag Plus and you sign up for Glam Bag X they will just charge you the extra money on the months they have the x bag.

I can’t reply to you Lynn but yes, the months of the upgraded GBX you will get charged the extra amount. It totals $55 so depending on if you have regular or plus it will be an additional $30 or $43.

I asked the same thing & was told “products included in Glam Bag X will be exclusive to Glam Bag X members only”. Nothing will make me cancel glam bag X quicker than if those products are made available to others not subbed to gbx.

Folks who have already signed up for Glam Bag X: when were you charged? I would have expected to not get charged until the start of February, as with my normal glam bag, but the wording on Ipsy’s site is confusing on this point.

I signed up and was charged for my regular Ipsy bag. I have both the glam bag and glam bag plus, but glam bag was on hold. It reactivated it. So while I wasn’t charged for X, I was charged for the basic bag.

Similar thing happened to me, I was active for Glam Bag but paused for Glam Bag Plus. I was immediately charged for a GBP, not happy about that at all. I skipped November on purpose, and when I clicked on upgrading to X there was no mention of any charge until February.

I adore the Patrick Ta lip products that I have tried. Definitely interested to check out some other products in his line. Do I need more makeup? Absolutely not. Am I spending money I shouldn’t to get this? Why yes, yes I am

I’ve been all about simplifying things lately. I’ve nixed a lot of beauty products and just use the “bare” essentials (you know, mascara, lipstick and some sort of concealer/foundation.) I’m trying to do the same with skincare as well.

It will be interesting to see what exactly will be included in this X bag, but I’m all about downsizing so probably won’t bite.

I have the tinted one and really like it. Reminds me a bit of soap brows sorta. I have a liquid lip from him as well and it’s nice, but the color is wrong for my skintone, but it feels nice on the lips. I really wanna try the blush, I’ve heard great things about his blush duos and the singles.
