RMS Beauty Luminizing & Bronzing Powder in ‘Grande Dame’, 15 g – Retail Value $38.00
I was SO excited about this highlighter when I saw it inside the box. I really like RMS Beauty because their products and packaging are always really nice. This champagne nude shimmer is so pretty and gives a really natural but radiant glow, especially when combined with the right fluffy brush (more on that below!). Simply swipe your brush through this shimmery powder and apply liberally to cheeks, collarbones, wherever needs a light! This is the sort of highlighter that has a lot of payoff but is also harder to over-do, which is a good thing. It makes it easy to get that perfect level of radiance with minimal effort.
RMS Beauty Skin2Skin Powder Blush Brush – Retail Value $38.00
This brush is the perfect compliment to my new RMS highlighter. And it is gorgeous to look at too! The matte silver handle is a nice weight and the fluffy head is domed shaped and the right density for natural blush or highlighter application. I also just think the blush-colored bristles are a great color choice for looking pretty on my vanity even when I am not using it.
LOHA Faux Mink Lashes – Listed Value $12.00
FYI: Subscribers could choose from different lash styles.
I didn’t wear lashes before 2020 and I barely wear makeup these days. But something about these pretty and rather natural-looking lashes makes me hopeful for an event worthy of them to come in 2021. I tend to prefer a more natural look and the style of these lashes will add volume and length without looking too heavy on my lids. These are vegan and with proper care, I should be able to use them a few times.
Eyelash Glue For False Lashes, 7 mL -Retail Value $8.00
This oil-free and latex-free formula is ideal for applying my new lashes when the time comes. It is a gentle glue that goes on white and dries clear.
Beets & Blush ‘Athena’ Cream Blush, 4.5 g – Retail Value $22.00
I do love a cream blush but I will admit that I was a little worried this shade wouldn’t work for me from the first glance. It seemed a little more terra cotta than I thought would work on my face. Wonderfully, I can report that this shade is actually a dream to wear and the color looks incredibly natural and sheer. I applied on top of my favorite BB cream with a gentle patting motion and blended. It is a buildable formula so if you need extra color, keep adding with a gentle tapping motion. Like most good cream blush formulas, this one also looks great on my lips too!
Peachy and natural.
Millennium Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in ‘L.U.V.’, 5 g – Retail Value $18.00
FYI: Subscribers could choose from different lipstick shades.
My last item was a beautiful liquid lipstick in some seriously great packaging. I chose a shade called L.U.V. which is a very flattering and slightly moody reddish-pink that would work for any season day or night. The application was great and I especially enjoyed the velvet finish which looked matte but never completely dried out. This is a long-lasting lippy too! Mine lasted for almost 5 hours without budging at all.
Verdict: I loved this Vegancuts box! Their makeup box is a great option for someone looking for a quality over quantity quarterly box with cruelty-free formulas inside. I am pretty much obsessed with my new RMS highlighter and blush brush. Those two items were the highlights of the box for me, followed closely by the really pretty cream blush and fantastic pink lipstick. The lashes and glue were not items I would normally be purchasing, but they are still nice to have around for some more formal events in 2021 (fingers crossed!) The value this month was also pretty good, landing around $124 before the lashes, which I could not find for sale online.
