Small Shop Baby Box Fall 2020 Review

Little White Poppy Sunflower Sunnies in Peach – Retail value $8.99

These baby sunglasses are so adorable! I love the neutral peach color and I think these are the perfect accessory to top any outfit. The only downside I can think of is that these may be a little big and distracting for babies – mine kept pulling these off, but she always pulls off any sunglasses I’ve tried on her at this age, anyway.

Sweet P Baby Co Suction Cup Toy Strap – Retail value $11

Now, this product is definitely functional. It’s a cup or toy tether! This is actually really useful for keeping her cup on her high chair, as pictured. I can also see attaching this tether on a shopping cart seat or stroller tray to keep toys from falling off onto the ground. Bonus: the little silicone beads are baby-safe for teething.

Small Shop Baby Box headband

Adelyne’s Rose Soft Ribbed Headwrap – Retail value $9

This headwrap is one of my favorite items in this box. The latte color is neutral and versatile, and the ribbed fabric is so soft and stretchy. The wide band can even work to keep my daughter’s ears warm this fall until winter hat weather arrives. So cute!

Kate Marie Designs Bracelet in Mini Rust – Retail value $19.99

This brand is one of my all-time favorite small shops and their Instagram is how I found out about the Small Shop Baby Box! Kate Marie Designs makes such beautiful bracelets in so many different bead sizes, styles, and colors. They stack well and I’ve bought several from them for my baby, as well as a matching “mommy + me” set. My daughter has worn Kate Marie bracelets since she was born (if you follow my baby girl clothing box reviews, you’ll see her wearing them in every one), and I can vouch for their quality. The hardware is gold-filled which means it will never tarnish and will last, even with daily wear. This featured bracelet design is called “Mini Rust,” and the color is perfect for autumn. It’s chic and modern and will pair nicely with most of her fall wardrobe.

Small Shop Baby Box onesie

Exclusive Pumpkin Onesie from Beck+Palm – Retail value $18

My daughter’s birthday is in October and I’ve always called her my little pumpkin, so this onesie struck a soft spot with me. It’s a pretty basic short sleeve onesie, with an exclusive custom printing design of the word “Pumpkin.” The upside to the simplicity, though, is that it’s versatile. I can see this paired with any number of jackets/cardigans + leggings/jeans combinations that she already has. In the Midwest, layers are especially important in the fall because it’s cold in the mornings and then pretty warm by the afternoon.

Here is everything but the tether put together! The sunglasses, headwrap, bracelet, and onesie. I dig this outfit – I put it with some crimson leggings and she has a little denim jacket that would be darling with it, too. I appreciate that everything in this box is cohesive!

Verdict: I had a lot of fun opening the Fall 2020 Small Shop Baby Box! I think all the items they featured are practical, aesthetically adorable, and I love that they pull together to make a nice outfit. The quality of each item seems solid; maybe a little less stellar quality with the onesie, but that’s the only item she’ll outgrow at some point and I’m confident it will last us through the season in style regardless. The box costs $49, or $52 including shipping, and with a retail value of $66.98, it comes to about a 26% discount. Small Shop Baby Box promises that each box will have over 30% savings vs buying each item from each shop individually. When you consider shipping costs from each small shop, I would say that promise is met here. I love knowing that I’m supporting small business owners through this subscription as well, which is a contributing factor to my satisfaction with the value. I’m happy! And excited to see more from this subscription.

  3. This looks like a good baby box and I love shopping small, are the tether and clothing items coming from CPSC compliant shops?

    • Hi, Anna! Good question! I’m going to shoot an inquiry to those small shops’ on social and get back to you if/when I hear!
