Panda Pals October 2020 Review

Socktivity

Every month Panda Pals sends us a "socktivity" along with a small extra item or two. This month we received an educational sheet that discusses "Doctors and Nurses," along with a matching game, a vocabulary list, and a how to make your own first aid kit activity! We also received a set of stickers which allow us to pack our first aid kit and a band-aid as an added bonus. All of the information was helpful and made learning exciting!

My boys really enjoy the addition of the socktivities in this subscription. While they aren't hard or time-consuming, they add an extra level of excitement and create an entire experience. Hank did the matching game and read the first aid activity, while Charlie packed his sticker first aid kit. It was rather funny to receive a band-aid, especially because my husband just jokingly told Charlie that due to his insane use of band-aids, he's going to have to ask Santa to bring him a bulk pack of them for Christmas!

Doctor and Nurse Socks

This month's theme is Doctors and Nurses, and while I am all for paying tribute to these important professions, I have to be honest and say these socks just weren't my kids' favorite. The yellow and blue colors just don't jive well, and they just aren't something they were interested in wearing. These socks feature the usual "Panda Pals" logo on the top of the toe and fit both of my boys well, I just don't think they will be wearing them out and about, as they didn't even want to model them. Better luck next time right?

First Aid Socks

Now, this pair is more like it. Both of the kids liked these blue and red socks as the color scheme is a lot cuter, and the overall design is a lot more fun. Like the above socks, they also display the "Panda Pals" logo on the toe, and fit a range of sizes without sagging or stretching. How will we decide who gets to put these in their drawer? Maybe this will be the top prize for our Sunday Uno tournament!!!

Verdict: Panda Pals is always entertaining, as you never know what you are going to get. This month we received a Doctors and Nurses themed curation, and we enjoyed the socktivities, and one pair of socks, but just didn't love the other pair. Honestly, this is the first time we haven't loved one of the pairs, which is pretty dang good considering I've been reviewing this subscription for a couple of years! While one of the pairs just wasn't for us, the other pair will be our Uno prize for tomorrow, and the kids can't wait! I can't wait to see what next month's theme will be!

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Each package is customized by size and gender, so yours might look different! If you order today, your socks will be sent USPS within 3-5 days of account activation and will be sent around the same time each month.

Value Breakdown: At $16 a month, you are paying $8 per pair of socks, which is a little higher priced than other socks, but you are also helping people in need by purchasing!
