Once Upon a Book Club has an advent calendar available now!

The Box:  Once Upon a Book Club Bookish Advent Calendar 2020

The Cost: $89.99

Shipping: Shipping to the USA is $12 USD, Canada is $56 USD, and shipping everywhere else in the world is $85 USD.

The Products: "Our Advent Calendar recipients will receive a novella of about 150 pages featuring 12 short stories (each 10-15 pages long) featuring one of the 12 gifts. Each story is written by a different author who wrote these tales specifically to bring our selected gifts to LIFE! As you read each short story, you'll be prompted at key moments within them to open the corresponding gift for the day. These gifts are all incredibly useful, beautiful items, perfect for the bookworm in ALL of us! These gifts are NOT Christmas themed (only the wrapping is to match the season!) and each item can be used and enjoyed year-round. Each box will include a custom and exclusive book of 12 short stories that can only be found in our box, along with 12 beautiful gifts (one for each story!). As usual, this year's box will feature four days where the wrapped gifts will be full-length, published novels, however this year we will be offering an Adult version and a Young Adult version! Each version will include different novels on these four days. The other eight days of gifts will be the same in both boxes, so please bear in mind that ONLY the books are different in each box. We will have extra books from BOTH the Adult and Young Adult boxes available for individual purchase in January for those of you who do not want a duplicate set of the other eight gifts."

Are you going to grab an advent calendar?

This was supposed to be a gift for my daughter. I just came today (Dec 23) I ordered it on November 27th

Very unhappy.

Totally agree. I ordered for my daughter too, the 1st week of October & received it Dec 18. Order confirmation said it would ship 1st week of December but didn’t actually ship until Dec 8th. Although I realize USPS is at fault for taking so long to deliver due to being backed up, this has been a problem for months now. Other carriers have pivoted & figured out a way to keep deliveries on schedule & if I was shipping a time-sensitive package to a paying customer, I would have shipped via a different carrier…or would have shipped earlier to account for expected delays. Customer service from OUABC was less than understanding as well, acting as if I was at fault for even inquiring about the status of my gift’s shipment due to the pandemic. Definitely will not be ordering from them again.

Other carriers cost more to ship! Companies would have to pass that cost on to customers.

Don’t blame them. I’m sure you’ve read in the news that USPS is so backed up. It’s a country wide problem. Tracking isn’t updating and all packages are delayed. Nothing companies can do unfortunately.

Got mine yesterday. I know I was supposed to wait to start readying but I’ve already read the first chapter and opened Gift 1. I was delighted to say the least.

The customer service from this company is absolutely horrific. They are one of those companies that pretends to do whatever’s needed to make an issue right in public and then don’t actually help at all in private. I had an issue where I created a ticket and they closed the ticket without ever responding and then deleted my replies to cover up their mistake. I really wouldn’t recommend using them.

I got it last year and loved it. I’ve cut back on all my boxes due to lack of income during Covid, but I’m splurging for this one.

This is my favorite advent calendar! And the best thing is that there are no spoilers and you receive it right about 10ish of December so it’s cheat proof. I’m still bummed I missed the 2018 one but the 2019 was awesome! Well worth the money in my opinion

Got it the past 2 years and it’s well worth it. 4 books and quality useful gifts! I’d definitely recommend it!

Their site will provide a unique coupon for 10% off, if you sign up for their newsletter; but I don’t know if it can be applied to this calendar!
