I’ll take 2 of the Smashbox and they can kept the palette. I used that powder back in the day lol but haven’t in a long while sooo expensive esp fir amount you get but love it. Hoping it’s a choice item and doesn’t sell out.

At first I thought the palette would be too light for darker skin tones but I watched some review videos and could see what the palette actually looks like (much more vibrant). I’ll probably go with it if it’s a choice item over the setting powder, just because I have so many setting powders already.

Someone posted swatches of the Illamasqua palette in the BoxyCharm subreddit.

I’m not sure which one to pick! I usually go for setting powder bc it’s not as common in sub boxes & I use a lot of it, but I JUST got the full size Tarte one from Ipsy. I like the Illamasqua brand & haven’t tried their shadows yet, but I’m not sure I’d get a ton of use from these shades. I also saw on the Boxy Insta story that the setting powder clicks up in a cool way (that may be a gimmick, but definitely interests me).

All I’ve tried from Llamasqua is a lip product and a primer (i think). They weren’t bad. Those shades are very pretty. I’d be interested in finding out the pigment/fallout factors.

And I will gleefully take a new setting powder every month (Smashbox still makes me giddy!) so November is looking good to me already. I’m happy with either and would love to get both.

I hope that i can get my hand on the illamasqua palette. I really don’t want the smashbox, i have a drawer full of setting powder. I hope that boxy will let us choose, i mean a real choice, not only for those who can get online within 5 minutes of the choice opening. I was pissed last month because i had to choose a Kosas tinted oil too dark for me and i wanted a blush. If i’m angry each month with the choice left (i work when choice open) I will unsuscribe because it’s supposed to bring joy not dissapointment.

So far, I have gotten one box from each tier since I signed up two months ago and they have all been light makeup, heavy skincare. I took the quiz when I signed up and I think I remember there was a question asking which one we wanted more of. I picked skincare and I’m very happy with the amount of it I have already gotten just between 1 base box, 1 Premium box and 1 Lux box. I’ve cancelled all my subs except Premium until the end of the year because I’ve been very impressed with both the amount and brands of skincare I’ve gotten already. My BFF has been getting Premium a lot longer and she says she feels the same way.
