Ban.do is a stationery and lifestyle company that sells almost everything under the sun, all sporting incredibly cute designs. They recently offered Mystery Grab Bags for those who love good deals and fun surprises!

Note: This box is no longer available for purchase, however, Ban.do does offer mystery bags a few times a year.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

About This Box

The Box: Bando Goody Bag

The Cost: $25 + $5 shipping

The Products: "This goody bag is filled with a mystery assortment of stationery, drinkware, travel accessories, and more. Our best value ever – at least $90 worth of products for $25! You’ll also get strong feelings of excitement and anticipation at no extra charge.”

Bando Goody Bag Mystery Box Review

Ban.do Getaway Eye Mask in Potpourri - Estimated Value $18 (based on the same mask in a different pattern)

Ban.do is the brand to go to when you want an everyday item in a fun pattern, and this eye mask is no exception. The design is pretty and fun, and the mask itself is plush and comfortable on my face. The straps securing it are adjustable, too, so you can get a custom fit to help you sleep through the night.

Little Buddy Reporter Pad in Be Nice Have Fun Work Hard - Retail Value $12

I never seek out these notebooks to buy, but when I have them in my possession I always end up putting them to use. This has found a home on my kitchen counter to write grocery lists and to-do tasks, but it is small enough that it could also go in my purse for on-the-go note-taking, too.

Write On! Pen Set - Estimated Value $14 (based on the same pens in a different pattern)

I love fun pens. While I usually prefer a gel rollerball pen to these black-inked ballpoint ones, I still enjoy the pop of color these add to my desk. The pens wrote smoothly with no skipping, and one tucks in perfectly to the pen loop on the notebook that also came in this set.

Ban.do x Little Words Project Bracelet in Be Nice - Estimated Value $20 (based on other bracelets with a different word found here)

This bracelet is a really sweet concept – the word on the bracelet is to remind you of something positive or a goal, and if people ask you about it you can use it as an opportunity to share what the word means and more about The Little Words Project. Once you feel like you have reached your goal (or you find someone who is struggling), you can pass the bracelet along in the hopes of continuing to share the message. The bracelet itself seems very on-trend, too, ever since people started spending more time at home due to Covid, I’ve seen numerous friends start creating letter bracelets like these as a new hobby.

Deluxe Cool It! Glass Water Bottle in White/ Metallic Gold - Retail Value $30

I seriously considered picking this water bottle up during the recent sale, so boy was I happy when I saw it in this goody bag. There is no denying that it is aesthetically pleasing, and I love the color combination of soft white and gold.

Round Metals Sunglasses in Black - Retail Value $20

These sunglasses give off major retro vibes. Retro is definitely not my style, but that is the risk you take when purchasing a mystery box. I do think these are good quality for the price point, and I passed these along to a much more fashionable friend who looks great wearing them.

The Verdict: These mystery boxes from Ban.do are always a joy, and this round was no exception. So many mystery boxes these days usually come with full spoilers, so it was really nice to get a true surprise for a reasonable price point. If you enjoy the Ban.do brand and aesthetic, I think you’ll be happy with picking up one of their mystery boxes. I have made multiple purchases from the brand personally (I adore their sticker books and stationery), and the quality is always there. My favorite in this box was definitely the water bottle, but the sleep mask was a close second. Value-wise, I calculated an estimated value of $114 for everything, which is great for the price of the box and exceeds the promised value of $90. Plus, the cost of the water bottle is the same as the cost of this box plus shipping, so if you like it it's almost like getting everything else in the box for free.

The Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? No, this is no longer available.

Value Breakdown: This box cost $30 ($25 + $5 shipping), which means you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • Eye Mask: $4.74
  • Reporter Pad: $3.16
  • Pen Set: $3.68
  • Bracelet: $5.26
  • Water Bottle: $7.89
  • Sunglasses: $5.26

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

The water bottle looks like a less functional bkr rip-off. Other than the owner being besties with Busy Philips don’t get the appeal of the brand.

HEATHER PAULSON

Mine came with a happy face wine stopper with a titanium coating (metal rainbow finish), a matching metal Ctype phone cable with something else in the box. I think it was a popsocket. That be nice bracelet. A silicone bubble gum pink retro 35mm camera (think 90s consumer standard camera). A mega glittery bubble gum pink plastic tumber with words that i cant recall and it was almost my favorite item inside the box. Last was my favorite item, rainbow glittery heart (almost horn framed) shapped sun glasses
