  1. I personally find that MSA as a site has gone downhill with Liz’s absence, but I still come here numerous times a day just for the comments! They’re so entertaining! Especially the ones on these ridiculous advent calendars – HAHAHAHAHA!

    • Oh man I guess I have missed a lot. I have been coming here since 2013 almost daily but haven’t been checking the past year. I had no idea. Did Liz sell the company and exit?

      • Just search for “Liz” in the search box and the first article that comes up explains it.

      • In a word, yes.

  2. Pierre Balmain was a renowned designer throughout the second half of the 20th century, he founded the brand in 1945. His designs are still sought after today, as they are classics. As are those of Oscar de la Renta, who took over the House of Balmain in 1993, about 10 years after Pierre’s death. They are, and always will be one of my favorite fashion houses. If I could buy 2 of these I would.

    • This calendar is not clothing, jewelry, or even makeup. This is shampoo, a mini-brush (for the price, they couldn’t give you a real-sized brush?), hair sprays, and a pocket mirror. At $35 each.

  3. Let’s be nostalgic for a bit… remember when advent calendars were so fun and cute little surprises to give your day just a bit of extra happiness? Smack, down goes that reality. Why are we spending a fortune on samples and brands we aren’t sure about (if we love them, we are already buying their full size equivalent at a better price than an advent calendar). I want something in an affordable price range that is either exciting or useable. My best option is the sock calendars from target! My kids get the best overall with LEGO calendars

    • Ditto on the target sock advent calendar!

  4. I used to go to a salon that used and sold this brand. I never was tempted to buy anything, so I didn’t realize how expensive it is.

  5. Never heard of this brand so Googled, their t-shirts sale for $400 OMG.

  6. Wow, must be lined with gold! It is a huge risk, I’ve never heard of this company.

  7. The only thing more laughable than this deal is the fact that it’s been a long day, and between the black background of the photo and my tired eyes, I read the title as “Batman advent calendar” and thought: “cool!”

    • LOL… maybe if Batman moved from Gotham to Paris :D.
