SprezzaBox “Georgetown” September 2020 Review

Each month SprezzaBox allows subscribers to choose their box from several different options. You will receive an email prompting you to select your box and then you’ll be taken to a page with photos and information about each of the boxes. This is a great way to ensure you get exactly what you want or need and if you forget to pick your box, don’t worry because they will simply have a stylist choose one for you! Since some collections are made of previous inventory, you will occasionally have a few products overlap, but usually this is a sample item.

Knots Apparel Navy Speckled Tie – Retail Value $25.00

This tie is so nice and such a unique design! It is a 60/20/20 wool/cotton/linen blend and it has a great two-tone design underneath. It reminds me a bit of space with the white speck on the navy background. My husband says that he loves this tie and it might be his most favorite tie that he’s received.

Here it is on. He loves how versatile the design and colors are, too!

Navy and Gray Thin Stripe Socks– Retail Value $12.00

The socks are a classic, simple style with a mix of gray and navy strips with thinner white stripes in between. They are made from 80% Combed Cotton, 17% Polyester, 3% elastic. I linked to a similar pair, however, the fabric makeup is just a bit different so I am not sure they are the exact same.

Here they are on. My husband likes these, although I don’t think they wowed him as much as the other items in this box.

FourFiftyFive Chambray Pocket Square – Retail Value $19.00

This chambray pocket square is fun and another pretty basic style. It is made from 100% cotton and will work well with his navy suit. He thought it was a nice style and he doesn’t have any chambray squares like this one.

Sorry for the blurry photo! Hopefully, you can still get an idea of how the pocket square looks with his navy suit.

Men in Cities Brown Wallet – Retail Value $30.00

This wallet has a simple three-pocket design and looks identical on either side. The smooth, rich brown material looks sleek and the slim profile will work well in a suit pocket. I believe this is made from vegetarian leather, based on other designs on the Men in Cities site, but there is no material makeup listed so I can’t be sure. My husband was really pleased with the basic design of this wallet since it is similar to the one he currently has.

Martenro Watch Strap– Retail Value $15.00

This last item is the one that I wasn’t sure my husband would be into, but he actually really likes that it’s more casual and has some color to it. I thought the band might be narrow on him, but it was a decent size, now we just have to find a face to fit it! It looks somewhat complicated to figure out how to attach a watch face, but I found some how-to videos that can help guide us!

Here you can see it on his wrist (sans face).

Verdict: This month’s SprezzaBox was great for supplying my husband with some basic styles that are versatile and will work well with a lot of his current wardrobe. The tie was definitely the standout item this month while the socks and pocket square were also great staples. He really liked the wallet and is excited to have a new watch style once we figure out how to use it! Overall, the total retail value comes to $101 which is pretty great for a $30.00 ($28.00 + $2.00 shipping) box.

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, you would likely receive the October box, although it’s possible that this could be a future Pick Your Own Box option!

COUPON: Use code MSA10OFF to save $10 on your first box!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $30.00 ($28.00 +$2.00 shipping) so here is what you are paying approximately for each item (not counting the moisturizer sample):

  • Tie: $7.43
  • Socks: $3.56
  • Pocket Square: $5.64
  • Wallet: $8.91
  • Watch Strap: $4.46

Alternatively, each of the 5 items in the box has an average cost of $6.00.
