ShoeDazzle is a monthly shoe, clothing, and accessories subscription service. You can shop their merchandise like normal retail, but they have a VIP subscription that gives you better prices – almost everything is only $39.95 (or less) for VIPs. When you sign up for a membership, you complete a style profile. On the 1st of every month, they release new styles and you can pick any item you want – either from your personal ‘Showroom’ or across the site. You can also skip the month. However, if you don’t pick or skip, you get charged $39.95 store credit to spend any time.

This model is similar to how JustFab, Fabletics, and AdoreMe work.

ShoeDazzle August 2020 Review

This month's ShoeDazzle did not include an invoice statement or coupons/samples. Onward with the review!

Plus Size Faux Suede Moto Jacket in Pale Dogwood, Size 3x — Retail Value $72.95, VIP Price $49.95, 20% Off VIP Style Points Price $39.96. Found a similar style here.

Okay, so we know that the July box I reviewed was a bit of a rough go, but it is a new month with new options! And in this case-- better options! I have been trying to find a pale pink moto jacket for a while and this one is the exact color I have been hunting for! I usually prefer faux leather materials, but this faux suede is better than I could have imagined. The fabric is so soft and stretchy-- it is perfect! The details like the pockets and the waist belt are wonderful as well. I love this cropped style too because it hits exactly at my waist-- it will look phenomenal with a dress as well as my high-waisted jeans and skirts! I opted to style this piece with the dress I reviewed in my August Stitch Fix (review coming soon!). I love how the baby pink shade pops against the bright fuchsia Boho print of the dress. I topped it off with orange and white flower power earrings from RebzRainbowHaus and studded white mules. Imagine how killer this would look paired with a black and white striped t-shirt, black skirt, and booties--- what a classic look!

Tameka High Top Sneaker, Size 9.5 — Retail Value $62.95, VIP Price $42.95, 30% Off  VIP Style Points Price $30.06

After realizing that the skirt from my July review was a no-go, I ordered these shoes to replace the skirt. I know, a bit of a 360-- but I have been wanting a pair of high top white sneakers for some time! These shoes are adorable, but I must say--they aren't the friendliest for gals with thick ankles. I need longer laces for these shoes if I am going to have them laced up to the top. They also were insanely hard to get on! I kid you not, it could just be me, but I legitimately broke a sweat trying to get these bad boys on! My photographer for the day (my father) even asked what the hold up was for me to come outside for pictures. Sorry, pops! I am hoping the more I wear them, the more broken in they will get and the less agonizing they will be to get on my Barney Rubble feet. Fingers crossed, right? Alas, the pay off was that they look pretty dang cute on and are comfortable to walk in. You can certainly wear these with your favorite leggings and sweatshirt for a comfy fall look or even with your tightest skinny leg jeans, faux leather biker jacket, and muscle tank for a Dee Dee King/ Ramone approved look!

Verdict: I am glad to say that August was a redemption for the brutality of the July selections! (will I ever get over that tiger skirt? Someday, maybe. I am a Scorpio and we are great at holding grudges!) I am absolutely in love with my new pale pink moto-style jacket! It might be one of my all-time faves that I have reviewed from ShoeDazzle, actually.

That being said, I still have to air the same grievance I always do: the limited plus-size options. I certainly love ShoeDazzle's shoes, accessories, and their awesome points programs and various sales.  So many killer sales! However, if I can't find a piece of clothing I like in my size on their site, how can I use those points? It is disappointing when I see items that have been on the site for months in their plus section and then spy on their straight-size section and see it constantly being updated with a variety of fresh, fun styles. ShoeDazzle, I am saying this as a long time customer: you need to get your act together. I am just going to lay the tough love thick on you because I know you are better than this. I simply want all bodacious babes to be able to wear cute, cool, and trendy pieces like their thinner sisters. We want to toss coins at you, but how can we make it rain a handful of dollar bills on you if you don't want to cater to us plus size customers?

ShoeDazzle's August choices were excellent, so let's hope the momentum continues for next month as well! Are you as eager as me to see what I get in September's ShoeDazzle?

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The jacket is sold out, but I found a similar style here. The White version of my high tops are sold out, but the Tameka style is still available in silver and blush pink versions here.

Value Breakdown: These pieces were part of separate orders. The moto jacket came up to $39.96 and the Tameka high tops totaled to $30.06 after discounts. The two pieces come up to $70.02 before shipping and handling. Before any promotions and discounts, these items retail for $135.90. That means I saved $65.88; that is roughly a savings of 48%! Not too bad at all!

Go head girl! Let them know what’s up with our bigger sista’s issues! I’m sure they want your money too! And that’s a bummer to not have the same outfits in your size AND you have points you could be redeeming! Hey but it looks like you totally scored with that moto jacket! I also love the cropped style for Moto jackets it’s perfect for when it’s a lil chill but not cold but u want something on your shoulders that compliments your outfit! Honestly I’ve never seen a pale pink Moto jacket like that one before. It’s so unique I’m sure you’ll get lots o compliments! I love all your reviews because u keep it real!!!! Keep it up!

Thank you so much, Missy! Heck yes, I always want to give you guys the most honest reviews possible. That is definitely important to us all here at MSA!

Right? That jacket is everything. I am mad at myself because they had a pastel blue version on the Just Fab site and I didn’t scoop it up before it sold out. It was SO pretty! But I am glad I nabbed this pink one. I know I will get a ton of wear from it now and spring/early summer! It is so stretchy and warm too!
