Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the September 2020 Glam Bag!

I am feeling the ipsy magic this month – in love with my bag! I wasn’t wowed by the selection this month, and they somehow managed to pick out basically my top 5 products for me. So excited!

Benefit the Porefessional Primer (I have the original and I’m super excited to compare, since I’m in the huge pores crew)
Hey Honey CC cream (I got their concealer in Plus awhile back and if this is a fraction as good, man…)
tarte Big Ego (y’all, I just really like the hot pink tube, okay? But also I hear great things and almost picked this as my choice, so I love that ipsy sent it anyway!)
Generation Clay mask (their purple mask is sooooo good. I wouldn’t buy their other masks at full size without trying ’em first, so it’s going to be fun to compare!)
EYELINER THAT ISN’T BLACK!! (Pixi in Bronze Beam)

I feel like having Plus choice and add-ons so that I can get what I really want and then review it highly has really, really paid off. If only ipsy would add an “opt out of fragranced products” option, they’d officially be my favorite sub box. (And let’s be real, they’ll never do that because it would be too logistically complicated!)

This is my 2nd bag since I started my subscription. I noticed a lot of repeat items from last month. Does Ipsy do that often? Luckily I am not getting any repeats but I am getting similar products. It’s pretty cool that although a bunch of us chose the same item, our bags look entirely different. I’m getting:

My bag includes: Benefit Hydrating Primer, Evio Beauty Rejuvinating Mask, REALHER Highlighter in Confidence in My Glow, Tarte Big Ego mascara and my choice of the Shaina B Miami contour brush. They’re all items I will use, so nothing will go to waste. 🙂

Bag twins! I really like this one, I’m really interested in using the mask before makeup in the morning, these kinds of flash masks are great for skin prep, even if you’re oily.

I didn’t do any add-ons this month as there really wasn’t anything that was catching my eye.

Of course the month I decide to skip they have Sundays nail polish. I’m going to console myself with the thought that I probably wouldn’t have gotten it anyway. Sigh.

I can’t get into add-ons! I keep getting the OOOPS screen. Is anyone else having difficulty? Maybe the website has crashed. I was in earlier this morning but want to go back in and add a Zoeva palette. My bag is meh. The only thing I really like is my choice item, Marc Anthony Curl Cream. I don’t understand why I wasn’t offered It CC in Fair or Purlisse CC in Fair in my choice options. I keep getting light. I’ve updated my profile recently so I know my skin tone is set to fair. Gripe, gripe, gripe! LOL

Really happy with my bag again this month! Changing my profile to say I’m “very comfortable” with makeup seems to have paid off.

I’m getting:

PACIFICA BEAUTY DESERT SUNSET MATTE BLUSH & BRONZE DUO – I’m worried that the bronzer will be too dark for my very fair skin (at least it’s matte), but the blush is SO pretty. I’m a sucker for coral blushes.

PURLISSE BEAUTY YOUTH GLOW VITAMIN C CC CREAM in Fair – Yay, I was hoping I’d get this! And in the right shade, too!

REALHER CONFIDENCE IN MY GLOW HIGHLIGHTER – Meh. I like Realher and I don’t mind highlighters, but I don’t think I needed two cheek products in one bag.

TARTE BIG EGO MASCARA – Everybody raves about this, so I’m excited to try it!

DERMA E ADVANCED PEPTIDES & COLLAGEN SERUM – My pick. I love Derma E!

I added on the Shaina B Miami contour brush, pink Generation Clay mask, Georgette Klinger Volcanic Mineral Scrub (been wanting to try this brand, plus I needed a scrub), and the Item Beauty Brow Chow in Deep Brunette (yes, I know it’s a Tik Tok star’s line, but I just recently got into brow products, so I’ll try anything atm).

Pretty happy with mine. Last month was all skin care and this month is mostly makeup:

-POREfessional hydrating primer (choice)–love the original, wanted to try this.
Maelle lip crayon in berry–Love getting lip products, even though I’m barely wearing them. This is -a perfect shade and I almost picked it up with points.
-Oryza eyeshadow quad–I usually prefer brighter shades, but I have heard good things about this.
-Pixi eyeliner in black–This is a meh only because I should be getting this with points in a different shade, and I almost never use eyeliner. But I love Pixi and this is the type of liner I prefer.
-Marc Anthony Curl Cream–I loved their leave in conditioner, so I am excited to try this.These are pretty big samples too.

I wish I would have received a nail polish, that looks so pretty!

My bag is actually pretty good this month even though the assortment of products offered wasn’t that great imo. I’m getting:

Pacifica bronzer/blush duo (My choice)
PYT eyeshadow quad (almost chose this so yay!)
Benefit primer (ok)
Evio mask (meh)
Realher highlighter (boo)

I also added on the Pixi bronze eyeliner and Maelle lip crayon in nude which I’m excited for. Overall I’m pretty happy!

All of the choices I had For Glambag are available for add ones except the Veriphy eye cream. I’m glad I got a duplicate in my other bag. I know some don’t like duplicates but certain products I don’t mind because they do get used often! At choice i really wanted my choice items and the derma e serum, Pacifica duo, PYT eyeshadow quad, shaina b contour brush, and the porefessional primer so I ended up getting 2 in my bags and the rest were $3 extra. So not bad this month for me.

I get two glam bags , I’m happy with the choices Very much!! I would really like if I received the Juliette has a gun perfume too as previously mentioned by another, glam glow bright eyes ( I got 2 last month through add ones and this stuff is my holy grail eye cream), and the oryza quad eyeshadow ( was able to addon for $3)

3/5 items in my September Glambag are items I have marked rarely. I always check all of the months products before making a judgement call about the contents. What makes everything unusable for me is the wrong shades of everything! WAY TOO DARK cc cream and bronzer? No thanks. Tinted primer? Nope. Universal makeup brush, ok. Now for the funny part; I’m getting the Generation Clay mask, but I redeemed points for that item as well. Sooo, I’m getting 2? Lol! I only did one add on, the dual ended tweezers because for $3, why not?
