Panda Pals August 2020 Review

Socktivity

Every month Panda Pals sends us a “socktivity” along with a small extra item or two. This month we received an educational sheet on frogs. This was a very fitting theme, as we did a similar worksheet to this when we found ourselves some frog eggs to raise this spring. The boys were very excited to go through this review and color, label, and search for frog-related words, which also happened to contain some interesting trivia! While we knew most of the answers, we all learned that a group of frogs is called an army! This month also included a smorgasbord of extras – TWO pages of stickers AND a temporary tattoo, which of course Charlie had to apply right away!

We sure love the addition of these socktivities in this subscription! The thoughtfulness in this themed curation really has my kids looking forward to this subscription each month. I also have to add that it is about the only time my kids are excited about getting new socks!

River Frog Socks

At first glance, I thought these socks depicted a frog and his reflection, but on further inspection, I found 2 different frogs possibly looking at each other across a river? These cute cartoon socks are right up my son’s alley and the blue, green, and yellow color palette goes well with a lot of his T-shirts. While we haven’t been wearing socks a whole lot lately as flip flops are our go-to footwear choice right now, he was happy to add these to his sock drawer, and can’t wait to wear them when the weather cools down a bit. Like previous months, these socks have the “Panda Pals” logo displayed on the toe, have ample stretch, and fit a variety of foot sizes. (This particular pair is being modeled by my 5-year-old.)

Frog Habitat Socks

This next pair of socks is very whimsical! An “army” of frogs is displayed in their natural habitat – a pond surrounded with lily pads, cattails, and reeds! The colors in these socks coordinate well with the previous pair, although this particular pair includes a bright yellow cuff, which brings out the sun just right! Featuring the “Panda Pals” logo on the toe, these socks are not only fun, but environmentally accurate as well – a great conversation starter to say the least! This pair of socks is being modeled by my 7-year-old, who felt the socks fit perfectly!

How cute are those socks?! And I love the way they look with dark-washed jeans!

Verdict: Panda Pals is always a treat! This month’s theme was “frogs” and like I said above, my kids loved the review of our spring tadpole lesson! We loved both pairs of socks and were happy to receive two pairs that coordinated so well with the theme. I let each child choose a pair of socks, and they were both happy to get one that had frogs on it. We were also a fan of the color theme this month, as they match well with a lot of my kids’ clothing. While the socks are cute, I also appreciate the fact how they wash up so well, hold up amazingly, and can be matched in the laundry in seconds! I can’t wait to see what theme we will receive next month!

To Wrap Up:

Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Each package is customized by size and gender, so yours might look different! If you order today, your socks will be sent USPS within 3-5 days of account activation and will be sent around the same time each month.

COUPON: Use code MSA15 to get 15% off your first shipment.

Value Breakdown: At $16 a month, you are paying $8 per pair of socks, which is a little higher priced than other socks, but you are also helping people in need by purchasing!

While I am taking a time-out from being a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, I am currently staying at home with my 2 sweet boys! My first subscription was Julep thanks to happening upon the MSA website, and it all went downhill from there! I have subscribed to Ipsy, Boxycharm, Degustabox, Julep, Graze, Bluum, Walmart, and more because I love a good surprise! I truly am a subscription addict!
