Our monthly favorites posts have been so popular, we decided to feature a monthly post highlighting our favorite edible discoveries from subscription boxes! Here are our favorite meals, wine, and snacks from last month:

Ragan's Favorite:

The Item: HOM Macadamia Bar, Salted Caramel

The Cost: Buy 12 Bars for $29.99

From: Vegancuts Snack Box

Why I love it: I knew I would choose this for the month as soon as I tasted it, there was no competition. This tasted like a candy bar but was low in sugar. It had a wonderful texture. The chocolate coating really brought it all together. I really wish these weren't sold out on the manufacturer website or I would buy a bunch of them right away.

Christen's Favorite:

The Item: Sugarfina Italian Spritz Gummies

The Cost: $8.95 (currently on sale for $2.68)

From: Paper Source

Why I love it: When it comes to candy I usually go for dark chocolate over fruity, but something about these gummies hit me right! There’s a slight bitterness to them that adds a uniqueness to their flavor, and I mean they’re covered in sugar, so it’s hard to go wrong there.

Savannah's 2 Favorites:

mushroom risotto plated top view

The Item: Triple Mushroom Risotto with Toasted Baguette

The Cost: $9.95/serving

From: Home Chef

Why I love it: So, funny story—I didn't keep an eye on my account and this particular delivery showed up at my door as a total surprise. Home Chef did a bang-up job selecting this risotto for me, though! Creamy, comforting, and full of savory mushrooms, this dish was a real winner. And that toasted baguette? *chef's kiss*

wonderful wine co rosé poured glass next to bottle and cork

The Item: 2019 Wonderful Wine Co. Rosé

The Cost: $19.99 (or $17.99 with a membership)

From: Winc

Why I love it: Winc recently launched The Wonderful Wine Co. and I was really excited to try their flagship offerings. Everything from TWWC is vegan, low-sugar, low-carb, low-sulfite, sustainably-farmed... the list goes on, and I find it all appealing. Beyond the buzzwords and punchy marketing, I enjoyed the nice mix of strawberry and raspberry notes and the clean, mature finish. Will definitely snag this one again when it's available!

Becca's Favorite:

The Item: Chicken with Creamy Pan Sauce, Roasted Mushrooms & Artichokes, Green Beans with Almonds

The Cost: $12.99/serving

From: Green Chef

ACTIVE DEAL: Limited Time Only! Get $250 off + free shipping
CODE: MSA200

Why I love it: I have been eating low carb for quite some time, and while my family isn't, they sure enjoy trying these meals! This chicken dish was amazing! All of the ingredients are organic and beautiful. (I grow my own produce, so I am pretty fussy.) The chicken was moist and tender and the pan sauce was sooooo good. I don't love mushrooms, but the combination of them with the artichokes in the pan sauce was to die for. I sure hope they offer this meal again!

Hi there, I'm Christen. I am all sorts of things:

🌳 a writer who loves to convey feeling

🌲 a mother who wants to have just as much fun as my kids do

🌳 an outdoors-lover who's achieved #1000hoursoutside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

You'll find me collecting stationery and squirreling away stickers, riding bikes and swimming with my family, creating outfits in colors and silhouettes that make me feel amazing, wearing big earrings, drinking beer and asking my husband to feed me harmonies to sing, taking my vitamins, living for dancing to live music, roping everyone into a craft, being human and vulnerable, and celebrating the phenomenon of being alive.

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.
