Mini Motherhood Survival Mailer Summer 2020 Review

Our contents arrived in a box this month due to the fragile nature of one of our items. At the top of the box was this card that tells us about our items this month and a smaller card with their contact information on it.

Free Period Press Vinyl Decal Sticker - Retail Value $3.00

The first item we received is this sticker that reads "You Got This" which is actually one of my favorite messages for fellow mamas. This will serve as a great reminder on those days when surviving motherhood isn't quite as easy!

Yes Cocktail Co. Lavender Honey Cocktail Mix, 8 oz - Estimated Value $8.00 (based on the 16-ounce version linked)

I am a sucker for lavender drinks (or cupcakes!) so I was excited to see this cocktail mixer in the box. This contains natural ingredients including water, sugar, lavender, wildflower honey, lemon juice, and lavender bitters. You can mix it with champagne, vodka, or a gin and tonic if you'd like an adult beverage, or they recommend adding some to your lemonade or sparkling water. A cocktail recipe calls for 1 oz of this, so you should be able to get about 8 drinks from this bottle! The syrup itself tastes delicious. Not too sweet, a hint of lemon, and a refreshing lavender taste. My daughter liked it and was excited to try it in some plain sparkling water for a treat. We've also got some plans for lemonade at some point!

Once the kiddos were in bed, it was time for the mommy drink! I enjoy crafting cocktails (a leftover skill from my days as a bartender!) and I decided to mix this with some bourbon and fresh lemon juice topped off with a little bit of sparkling water. It was a pretty tasty drink! The lemon I used was a bit tart so I did have to add a drop of honey to balance it out, but the overall flavor was great and my husband approved as well.

Sweet Tea Hostess Cocktail Napkins - Estimated Value $9.00 (based on similar napkins found here)

A refreshing summer cocktail (or mocktail) is even better when accompanied by a cute cocktail napkin. I love this simple lemon design! This pack came with 25 napkins which I'm sure will come in handy next time we entertain guests.

Verdict: I loved this quarter's Motherhood Survival mini mailer (box), but I also happen to really love lavender and making yummy drinks, so this might be a miss for others. I like the message from the sticker and feel like it's one that all mamas should keep in the back of their minds. I estimate the total retail value of this box to be $20 which isn't bad for a $15.00 (with free shipping) box. I think this would make a cute gift for a mama friend!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The Mini Mailer for this quarter is sold out but will be available for next quarter. From Motherhood Survival:

If you sign up before the 15th of any month your box will ship that month on the 20th. If you sign up after the 15th your box will ship the 20th of the following month.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $15.00, including free shipping, which means with 3 items you are paying approximately $5.00 per each item.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

As a newish mom, this box looks awful and not like something I’d spend money on! Napkins, really? No thanks

Not sure how this is a motherhood box. Nothing screams mother to me.

Kind of boring. They should have swapped out the napkins.

Whew. If I wanted this mixer I’d rather pay $26 ($16, plus $10 shipping) to get 16 oz instead of 8, and skip the napkins and sticker.

$9 retail value for cocktail napkins? i don’t think so. this doesn’t even break even in terms of value for me.
