FYI – Ipsy Glam Bag Plus has updated the choice dates for Ultra Personalization.

Ultra Personalization will now be on the 2nd at 9 a.m. ET until the 3rd at 6 p.m. ET.

With Ultra Personalization, Ipsy Glam Bag Plus subscribers will be able to choose 3 of their 5 full-size products every month! Choice will be open from 2nd – 3rd. You also have the option to skip Choice and let Ipsy choose all 5 items for you. You will also have access to Add-Ons on the 2nd.

The Glam Bag Plus bag will also look different! Starting in August, your Glam Bag Plus products will arrive in a large drawstring bag:

Glam Bag Plus is also getting a little makeover. Now, all your full-sized faves will arrive in a new, larger take-anywhere drawstring Glam Bag Plus that holds all of your essentials. Use it to keep those always-lost lip balms in one place or gather your on-the-go makeup items for your travels—this size is super functional.

Your drawstring bag and products will be sent to you in a recyclable mailer.

It’s not working!!! They are saying “sold out” at 9AM — they were even saying sold out at 7am!!!! Message says you will have a chance to choose next month! I am very frustrated

The one downside I still see is the fact you get charged before knowing what your choices are, and are stuck with it instead of opting out that month like you can with GB and GBU.

It’s always been super early for us west coasters. It says 9am eastern time, but it’s usually available an hour before that, so set your alarm. Those who live in Hawaii should just stay up late the night prior, I suppose.

I’m on the West Coast too; for the regular glam bag this is a very typical. It just is what it is with Ipsy 🤷‍♀️

I’m on the west coast and I set my alarm early twice a month (choice day and add-on day). If I recall, in seven months there was only one time that I felt unable to go back to sleep. I actually PREFER the early time, because once the actual day starts I tend to get too busy to remember something like this. I only get Plus now and then, but this change does make it more likely for me, personally, to purchase it.

this is bananas and a reason to unsubscribe. Good stuff will be gone the first hour as it always is, while I’m still in bed.

When one wants something bad enough, they will do what is required to get it. Life is that way for everything and oftentimes that is exactly what separates the haves, from the have nots.

People have different definitions of what “the good stuff” means. For example, I would never pick anything Too Faced or Sunday Riley. I think there are plenty of choices and plenty of good stuff. Having an open mind for trying things and not bringing a whiny mindset will probably help.

It’s a pretty big inconvenience for those of us ( many people) who don’t get up that early. Or else we will forget. That’s why most industry standard sites like Gilt and RueLaLa do sales at noon Eastern, 9 Pacific when most people are already up and at their desks or homes, and send reminders.

It’s really not worth it to me to set an alarm 2 hours early every month just to choose a product for a subscription box. I don’t think it is for most people who are not on this site either. When West Coast folks start seeing none of the good choices left when we wake up, we will probably unsubscribe. Most non-crazy subscription box folks (I don’t include myself; I am crazy) don’t really even set alarms and just go when they get the reminder email if they are already awake. This is why I don’t think this is really going to work for them if they keep it.

Why don’t you just get up at 6 am and if you need to, you can go back to bed afterwards. I get up at 6:20 am for work anyway so an extra 20 minutes earlier isn’t too big of a deal.

I had to end my subscription after receiving my bag. I will say this the bag came within a week. However 3 items were missing. Trying to find a email to contact them is like mining for gold….finally found…week three, no response. I emailed again stating I had been a member two years and felt very disappointed I could not even get a reply. By ipsy….😣

I’m also missing items from my bag – even more disappointing is it was the two most expensive items (Murad Sunscreen + Wander Foundation). I resubscribed to IPSY for the added customization but will happily cancel if they don’t send me the correct items.

Mine was supposed to be delivered quickly, too–on the 12th– but the post office accidentally rerouted it after it got to my town. Sorry you were missing items, but I’m surprised to hear ipsy was unresponsive. They are usually great!

I saw they’re also launching a quarterly program where you get 8 full-size products once per quarter. Confused, though, because it’s an additional $48… and, if it’s just 8 items instead of 5 (you pick 2) for $48 more, that makes no sense.

Where did you guys see this? I get all 3 tiers and have been on the website and their social media daily. Not saying you’re liars, haha, just wondering where this was announced.

It sounds like it will be similar to Boxycharm offering the Luxe box every 3 months. The Boxy price goes from $25 to $50 on those months so Im not sure how interested I would be to pay Ipsy $73 every 3 months for only 3 additional products ($48 in addition to the normal $25). That’s almost triple the regular monthly cost! I can’t wait to see information on this as I missed it this morning.

I saw it earlier today in the banner at the top of the page in the app. Just went to check it again though and it’s gone. You can see screen shots of it on reddit though. Just said it’s a GBP upgrade with 8 FS products, additional $48 every 3 months and it showed a pic with Tatcha, Sunday Riley, the ABH Soft Glam palette,Fenty Beauty and Huda.

From how I read it, each quarter you get an additional 8 items. So you get your regular box but then you also get an additional box of 8 items.

8 full-sized personalized products instead of your monthly Glam Bag Plus. So it seems like it’s 8 instead of 5, not in addition. But who knows. Maybe the brands are higher end?

Makes me wonder if they’re phasing out Ultimate… feels that way, since there are so few variations, and ultimate members weren’t included in the move to ultra personalization.

Yep- I’m sure. It’s a new buy-up being launched for glam bag plus. You still get to choose 3, but you get 8 products. Not officially launched yet, but saw the “reserve your spot” spoiler.

Oh my God I just went NUTS!! I had to stop myself and go back and UNclick some of my purchases because my total was outrageous and I really needed 0% of what I was buying. But they have some crazy deals!

Unfortunately, for the low price point of the regular bag, it’s likely not too effective to offer too much customization. I think it’d be hard for them to guarantee that many products on a regular basis.

Choice is 8/24. There’s always a little timeline on your account so you can check and not have to remember!

I think this means people will know what is in their GB and GBU before personalization/add-ons for GBP, which solves the problem of potentially selecting an add-on that ends up being in one’s GB or GBU. So that’s good.
